Humne tumse, tumne humara,

"Tum jaao Sonakshi... Humein alag ho jaana chaahiye!" Sonakshi couldn't believe the words that Dev uttered in the hospital corridor, when she had come to see Maa or Aunty ji, that she addressed Ishwari as.

Sonakshi tired interpreting the words Dev said in as many positive manners she could... She thought he must be distressed to see his mother on the hospital bed... She again thought it to be a bunch of some senseless words... She even thought that Dev might be trying to joke in his own pathetic way... But she never could believe that Dev was serious...

Had his dark honey colored eyes not been so expressive, she would have continued dwelling in her own imaginations... But right now, the eyes were red with all the crying and the angst they held, and the truthfulness of those almond shaped light brown eyes were screaming at her that this is the reality that she never could imagine after Dev had confessed his love to her that night at the wee hours of the night...

Tears spilled out of Sonakshi's eyes... She never needed to profess her love to Dev first, because he had come running to her after midnight the moment he realized his love for her... She had quietly surrendered herself in his arms when he clarified his love for her like a man does to his woman... She still felt goose pimples thinking about the intensity, rawness and the passion those words held...

But what are these words about... Just like he never asked her first if she loved him or not; he didn't ask her if she was capable of leaving this relationship or not...

Tere waade, wo iraade,

Sab kuch bhula diya,

Ye wafa ka kaisa sila diya...

Sonakshi held on to Dev's collar shaking him out of his mad stupor... What the hell is he thinking? He says the relation is over, and it is over? Obviously not! He needs to give the valid reason, or should just get out of these mad thoughts of breaking this love relationship.

She kept on reminding him of his promises ever since they fell in love... She kept on reminding him of his words a few hours ago, that there shall be no one and no reason that come in between them... But a huge, vital and an important person stood persistently between them... His mother...

Though she didn't blame the old lady, but she felt mad at her man... He needed to find some or the other solution... He cannot leave her just because his mother had gulped down many sleeping pills... Though her situation was serious, so were Sonakshi's feelings... And to save one, Dev was practically strangling the other relationship... And she felt broken... With absolutely no scope left... Sonakshi felt lost... As if with her man losing, she lost the battle of love...

"Aap mujhe deserve nahi karte Mr. Dixit! Aap mera pyaar deserve nahi karte... Good bye Mr. Dixit!" and Sonakshi with a heavy heart and heavy steps went away from the sight of the man who claimed to have her in front of his sight all day long... All was broken...

Umr bhar so na sakenge,

Kisi ke ho na sakenge...

Ajnabee tum ho jaao,

Ghair hum ho na sakenge...

Kisi begaane ki khaatir,

Tumne apno ko bhula diya...

"Stay away from me Mr. Dixit... Mujhe aapki shakal bhi nahi dekhni... Main Ritwick se shaadi karungi... Aur wo mujhko aapse door le jaayega... Bohot door!" Sonakshi's words rang repeatedly into Dev's ears like a haunted voice that never left the palatial house after the death of a troubled soul.

Easier said than done, Dev realized this proverb was true to the T. He had with a heavy heart told Sonakshi to leave... She, respecting his one sided decision gracefully had left the cross roads of their love story and tried genuinely moving on, while he still stood at the same spot... Love can never happen to him twice... He was done loving that one lady of his, and he knew he loved her to the eternity. He would continue loving her, NO MATTER WHAT!

Maamiji had tried showing him pictures of various rich, beautiful girls from their cast for Dev, but after politely declining them initially, he had clearly told his preference of never marrying ever again. And he was truly going on the same path...

But Sonakshi tried moving on for her family... She had got officially engaged to the guy her family selected, and was ready to marry him... Dev had tried so many times to bring Sonakshi around, but she was hurt beyond repair... He had hurt her enough, and now she doesn't want to even see him ever again to bruise her already bleeding heart...

Though Dev felt really betrayed with Sonakshi moving on, but did he have a choice? No! He couldn't marry her, he cannot stop her from marrying Ritwick, and he cannot undo the harsh words he had imposed on Sonakshi in the hospital corridor... He had to live with this very fact!

Sonakshi sat in front of her dressing table and shed unstoppable tears that her maroon saree soaked in with pure diligence... She wanted to sob the death of her first love... She looked at her ring finger, that now held the ring put on by Ritwick... She was officially engaged to him despite her bleeding heart... Ritwick was a genuinely nice guy, good looking, well settled, mannerly, understanding, caring, as well taking in the fact that she loved someone else quite nicely, and helped her move on... Ritwick was the best friend she could ever get... But putting him into the place she had always imagined Dev to be; it is getting repeatedly impossible... But she had to go through all this... Next week, she is getting married... She decided to try closing Dev's chapter right here! A final good bye Mr. Dixit!
