Trust me when I say that I have no memories of my childhood except for the photographs...My mum gave away it all...A year ago, I had a massive fight with my mother because she gave away my childhood synthesizer/ piano to a brother's kid because she needed it for her summer vacation...I cried to bits like anything, because that was my last childhood memory, and probably the first expensive gift my father had given me on my 8th birthday...ðŸ˜What she says in anger is- Go and ask that back from the kid if you want that "baajaa" that you seldom play...😡How do I even ask that back from a kid ?
Awwie! That's so sweet...Originally posted by: sona_naksh

Chapter -4
Tumko dekha toh yeh khayaal aaya,
Zindagi dhoop, tum ghana saaya...
Tumko dekha toh yeh khayaal aaya,
Zindagi dhoop, tum ghana saaya...
"Aap... Aaj jaldi kaise aa gaye Mr. Dixit?" Sonakshi asked, as she was packing her bag to leave. She had been doing double duties and days were hectic for her working both here at Ishwari Niwas and at the hospital...
"Ji, ab aap toh har waqt available hoti nahin hain na, Dr. Sonakshi... Aapko ye cheque dena tha... Aapki fees..." Dev held out the envelope that held her first salary here...
A month spent like a blur of reconstructing life... Sonakshi took a lot of care of Ishwari, while she made a diet chart for others in the house too; for she knew they all needed her help after the tragedy they were facing for the past year... While Dev would hardly be seen in the house... He spent most of his day, and sometimes his nights too holding meetings and re-catching his clients, signing new deals, to start getting what he had lost... He amazed himself the way he was working day and night, harder than ever before... He would purposefully wait at home until Sonakshi came in the morning, he would look her an eyeful, she would nod her presence, and he happily went to his office... She would hardly talk to him... It was okay for him to at least see her... His life looked easier to live than he thought without a glimpse of her.
"Good Mr. Dixit... Actually... main soch rahi thi, that I can manage with my salary from the hospital right now... You add this into my account to be settled later... For now, why don't you get this house back to its original state?" Sonakshi looked around the hall... The house was dim lit against the bright lights that shone before, the house looked very unmanaged... "Hire Kichhu Bhaiyya back... You guys might need a house help... I can take money from you later on..."
Dev huffed a small laugh- "Miss. Bose, Main roz office jaake machhar nahi maarta hoon... I have started earning again... Main sab kar lunga... Ye ghar bhi theek kar loonga... Sab ho jaayega... Bohot paise nahi hain, lekin itne toh kamaa hi raha hoon that I can pay you your salary, and hire Kichhu Bhaiyya back... Ghar bhi theek ho jaayega next month..." Dev again insisted for the cheque...
"Maine aapse kya kaha Mr. Dixit, aapke samajh nahi aa raha? Jaisa main keh rahi hoon, waisa keejiye... I will take this money some other time, first give me a better environment to work here... I don't appreciate such a gloomy and dim environment... Can you do that?" Sonakshi had her arms folded on her chest...
"Okay! As you say Miss. Bose!" Dev gave up...
"It's Dr. Sonakshi for you." Sonakshi didn't smile...
Aaj phir dil ne ek tamanna ki,
Aaj phir dil ko humne samjhaaya...
Zindagi dhoop, tum ghana saaya...
Tumko dekha toh yeh khayaal aaya...
"Dr. Sonakshi, aap mujhse fees toh leti nahin hain... Kya aap coffee peeyengi... It's upon me... Main bohot achhi coffee banaata hoon... Not black for you..." Dev asked Sonakshi when he returned from the office the other day...
"Okay! But do not make it too late... I need to go as well..." Sonakshi responded...
"Just a few minutes, I need to change and then come..." Dev told...
"Sure! Will just have a look in Aunty ji's room..." Sonakshi said.
A few minutes later Sonakshi could hear Dev screaming for Kichu bhaiyya... He wasn't getting something... Sonakshi went in there to see Dev was searching his hard drink section... A table and cabinet full of it... Everything was replaced on the orders of Doctor Didi, as told by Kichu... Now there lay in the cabinet were the mementos of Dev's achievements, trophies, medals and mementos; visible through the glass, and on the table, lay, Dev's favourite yellow flowers in a huge vase...
Dev was getting temperamental at the moment not finding even a drop to sip at...
"Kisse poochke aur kahan uthaa ke rakh diya sab?" Dev asked again...
Sonakshi entered in the room and asked Kichu Bhaiyya to leave him...
"Maine hataaya hai yahan se... Any objections Mr. Dixit?" Sonakshi sternly folded her arms on her chest... "Bech diya maine aapka saara "aged" collection hard drinks ka... Ye rahe paise usko bechne ke baad... Gardener wait kar raha hai, isse uski salary de deejiyega..." and Sonakshi left haughtily...
Dev came back to the kitchen table where Sonakshi was waiting for him for the coffee... She had already prepared two cups for them...
"Dr. Sonakshi, you can't do this to me... You are constantly hurting my ego, not taking any salary and then investing all the money in this house... Why are you doing this to me? Aapne mera wo pura section bech diya?" Dev wanted to complain...
"Firstly, aapka ego tab kahan tha Mr. Dixit jab aap apne ghar walo ko almost sadak pe le aaye they? Tab nahi laga aapka ego kitna hurt hoga jab aapke ghar wale aisi haalat mein honge? Secondly, kyu sharaab peeni hai aapko? Hunh? Kab chodhenge aap ye aadat, Liver syrosis hone ke baad? Chup chaap coffee peejiye... That too 2-3 cups max in a day... Mujhe pata chala hai, Tina abhi bhi aapki secretary hai... I have told her to not send you any more than that." Sonakshi announced...
Dev sat quietly and had his coffee... He wanted to make a puppy face, but was of no use... These weren't the days when she used to melt like chocolate the moment she saw him making puppy faces... Now she was too stern... She would openly scold Ishwari if she didn't follow her instruction... She wouldn't let Maami ji interact with herself to the most of the day... And she kept a tight rein on Dev's habits. She has changed herself too much to match her with that old Sonakshi...
"Main chalti hoon Mr. Dixit... Mujhe late ho raha hai... Ghar bhi time par pohochna hai..." Sonakshi finished her coffee and stood from the stool...
"Main drop kar deta hoon aapko... Kahan hai ghar aapka?" Dev proposed.
"Thank you, and sorry! Thank you for asking, but I still drive my Activa scooty... And sorry because my family will not like me coming with any man..." Sonakshi hung her bag on her shoulder and left...
"Oh!" Dev was suddenly reminded, she was talking about her husband and father in law... He had nothing to say...
Tum chale jaaoge toh sochenge,
Humne kya khoya, humne kya paaya...
Zindagi dhoop, tum ghana saaya...
Tumko dekha toh yeh khayaal aaya...
"Mr. Dixit, Aunty ji ki reports... As thought, six months mein kaafi improvement hai... And I will be there for the end of this month, iske baad, I think aap sab unka milke khayal rakh sakte hain..." Sonakshi had come to Dev's room to let him know the progress...
She looked around, his room looks tidy like the older times, and even the house was back to being the home of the family... At least the other presence of this house and the members of this house has improved...
"Aap chali jaayengi iske baad?" Dev asked heart broken...
"Mr. Dixit... Main yahan kisi kaam ke saath aayi thi, it is about to be over... Aunty ki tabiyat ab theek hai... Aap sab log bhi theek hain.. My work is getting to its culmination now... Mere aur bhi patients hain, mujhe aur bhi kaam hain... Main yahan saari zindagi toh aa nahi sakti..." Sonakshi told him politely... She didn't like the idea of scolding him always...
"Aur uske baad, sab kaise hoga?" Dev asked...
"Iske baad aapko manage karna hoga Mr. Dixit... Mere bina... Sharaab ke bina..." Sonakshi declared...
She began walking off, but stopped mid way, turning around she added- "I forgot to mention, I am unavailable tomorrow... Some family function... Kindly don't contact me or disturb me tomorrow... I hope you will co-operate..."
Dev nodded... And Sonakshi left without turning back...
