The depiction is OTT for two reasons:

1. They want to amplify the whole scenario. Shaheer's acting is good enough. There was no need for drama.

2. Ishwari & in general the families reaction is unrealistic again to make it more dramatic when the truth comes out

Today I found Sonakshi dumber than I found Dev the evening before Ishwari took the pills and his girlfriend was telling him that his mother doesnt like her

Even I am confused to be Sad or Happy.Sonakshi my fav character.Has become so dumb.Seeing her MIL showering so much love.She does not feel the need to get pregnancy test done.CV's execution is a big let down.Don't know.How will they further execute this track.

Exactly... The way they were behaving as if, if they postpone the celebration until confirmation as if the baby will vanish. What's the big freaking deal to wait until doctor gives the thumbs up? Seriously?

It was super OTT which made me uncomfortable even if Sonakshi was not infertile.

I prefer subtle acting like Shaheer's acting today instead of OTT melodrama...

Us viewers are not stupid to need the point hammered in our head...

Yep. The track has all the subtlety of a sledgehammer except Shaheer's acting today. I mean don't we know how devastating it is to think someone is pregnant when it was a false alarm even if we take out the infertility out of the question? Why CVs think that we need the point with all sensitivity of a face punch, I don't know...

And don't even get me started on what CVs has done to one of the most sensible character on the show. If I didn't know better, I'd think Sonakshi is as qualified and educated as Bua dadi's bahu...

Dev needs to speak to Sonakshi now its time he needs to let her know everything that he has learned and tell her maybe its possible she could be pregnant but test is important

Sonakshi probably believed Ishwari because she is elder or because the happiness and love she was suddenly receiving and hopefully she is aware of her cycle pattens but just to blurt out to the entire family there is good news without confirmation its actually crazy and calling for unneccessary problems

Dev on the other hand was surprised seeing his family and his family together been happy yet both the families cannot be happy with marriage of their kids neither can they respect each other as been the inlaws to their children

In Today episode Shaheer acting was saving grace.The subtle expression by him was on point.Be it surprised or shocked.

Precisely. The lie has gone far too long already. Dev should have come clean when he first knew or barring that right after their wedding. He had waited too long already. And now he is trapped with his own lies. That's why elders say that liers set their own pants on fire... Now he can't sit nor he can stand...

today was a comedy for me. such OTT, happiness from Ishwari.. all gaga over Sonakshi. OMG.. she actually fed Sonakshi halva from her hand, holding her chunni when she walked😃 definitely, happiness will vanish if sonakshi is not pregnant and all the love that she being showered on Dev's doll😡 Proves yet again, it's only about Ishwari's happiness and her needs/wants/desires. on the other hand, if sonakshi is in fact pregnant, then pre-nup track is coming soon. right before delivery, sonakshi will see the prenup and "ishwari ka sood" bye bye👏 remember.. Dev's baby has no rights on Dev or his family or his wealth if Devakshi separate😵 so, hopefully our sonakshi will realize that mummy's "sood kaa pyaar" also comes with strings attached😉

announcing to the world before confirming😆 like who does that in this day and age. Sonakshi has completely lost it. to me, it seemed to me that she is more happy about Ishwari's (the Dixit family God) attention and love more than the fact that she was actually going to have a baby with her loveofherlife husband😕 maa said "i am pregnant" so I am pregnant.. officially a dumb Dixit⭐️⭐️

and yes... Dev is deep in a hole that he dug himself. for the safety and welfare of his lovely wife, he needs to come clean and deal with this.. head on! if sonakshi is pregnant and he still doesn't discuss this "miracle" with her... Dev Dixit.. we have a problem! no reason for him to discuss with mummygod.
