It was breezy to see how Sonakshi ran towards the door when the swing was brought (leaving out Ishwari wondering as to why she left without completing the conversation with her 😃). Sonakshi is childlike at heart too (just like Dev), can't contain her excitement and it showed!
So full points to Dev for keeping his very first promise from breaking 😆 They scenes were cute and Sona was just adorable all through. Time and again, the viewers have been reminded of how materialistic things are just insignificant for Dev (bed sheet and now furniture). He only cares for feelings and expectations of his dear ones - whatever makes them happy.
Now , coming to the new promo of Jhoola. It is quite funny indeed, and also has underlying meaning for the show:
1) how a simple piece of furniture, which is wrongly placed can cause injuries. Similarly, had Dev taken active interest in the swing that Sonakshi (literally) loved, like in its placement in the room etc., it would have made her feel more inclusive and wonderful. Sometimes sharing your spouse's interests helps in furthering the bond of marriage. And avoid injuries in this case LOL
2) When you get married, things are bound to change - some changes take more time than expected. And the reason could be because old habits die hard, and if they are bad habits then you suffer a lot before getting it right! 😉. Since Dev never had the good habits of being independent, managing his wardrobe etc., he is suffering (it was very funny in the promo) and will gradually learn. Men often find it more difficult than women, since they are not ingrained with this notion since birth 😉. So I guess Dev babu is evolving and learning fast 😃
Meanwhile when all this is happening, the in-laws on both sides, should ideally let the couple be and let them manage it - that's my POV. Don't judge, don't lecture and only offer to advise (and not help). let them set up their own 'grihasti' (domesticity).
