Given the track record of the CVs I am sure they will bring in some difficult or eerier instances to justify Dev-Ish bond.. And I am sure they had a slight intention on that part to keep this story considered as not any MIL's behavior and making it completely fictional with no actual relevance to any common notion of "why does the MIL behaves this way".. It could be another way to say that every mom-son has some background which makes them behave this way to the new girl coming into their life.. And we have to understand where they come from instead of judging them for their behavior blindly.. Then shouldn't the message also to be passed on that the girl has a different background as well and she shouldn't be judged for whatever she is and be given her due what she's here for?!

I have no problem with the Dixits' having a bad past and the darker it was the better it is for them.. Because they have every right to be what they are in their present as they have their own reasons justifying their behavior.. This way everyone can sympathize with their emotional outburst and not accuse them..Like, every bad behavior has a reason behind it and we shouldn't prison them just for their act instead should dig through the causes that made them behave that way... And an easy answer "That's what I am and you know it"..

And I agree the blame is entirely on Sona for choosing this family in her adamant love for her love story... I blame none because they are irrelevant to me... Because it's all her fault only her fault to have fallen in this trap in the name of love... And whatever they can show to justify their acts can barely pull out my empathy side for the Dixits'.. Because I am only wanting that justification to be out and done with, without further throwing it again and again on Sona's face making her clueless in all this emotional torture...

I know I shouldn't be asking any questions to Dev, but yeah can't help it. Dev has known that the past has huge impact and they can never move on, then it's highly irresponsible of him to have chosen a life for his future.. He should have accepted that past is where he's gonna live his life and not have chosen a life for himself.. And yeah, love cannot be planned and he tried to give his priorities the best due but his stupid emotions took over him though he didn't want it to.. In that case he also knows the impact of both the emotions on him.. Instead of throwing an attitude to keep him covered up he should be the emotional person that he is and be the puppy at the feet of his women. When it comes to Ishu he shows that emotional person that he is but when it comes to Sona he shows as if he's the strong one with anger. In fact he should be crying in front of Sona day in and day out(like the Dev Devdas) instead of throwing the anger tantrums.. He should be asking her to pamper him like a child that he is and for which Sona assumed a savior role saving him from his tortured childhood.. And be the lost puppy that he was when he almost lost her. In fact it was this act of his which pulled out the last straw for Sona's stupidity.. And made everyone see how emotionally weak she has been.. And no that doesn't hold any justification for her to reason out for her behavior. Because it was her choice and she has to bear it and she can't hold that as her dark past for her future. Nobody asked her to hold on to it. She volunteered for it...

And for Dev, maybe the CVs thought why should he show his emotional weakness to Sona anymore.. He has tied her in the bonds of marriage where will she go now.. She's anyway has no other ways out than to deal with his anger and frustration whenever she doesn't heed to his whims and fancies...😆

episode was good and am not disappointed too .but the problem now is the disconnect.i dont understand whats dev and ishwari .we dont know the past but in present too they act weird now.and sona .i dont have any idea what she wants what she expects.she expects dev to share everything with her but in no mood to spend time with him.pampering plants while dev is with her that too a break from office😲 .but i adore the moments they are together .they are sooo cute and make me happy😊.
assume past is something big .but will khatri come back? the actor is now in another show and seems like an important role.so i hav doubts about him coming back.

Your post gave me a better insight about yesterday's episode. I would not say that i didn't enjoyed the episode, but yes some what expected more. I would be lying if i say that i don't enjoy Devakshi scenes, even if they are platonic. But I feel the scenes can be more expressive, whatever we see in their eyes can be expressed through body language as well. And they should talk, like seriously about their fights, concerns and relationship. The dialogue in the last episode vo waqt hi ajeeb tha, jab tum mere pass nahi thi. Isliye tumhare photo se hi kaam chalana padta tha. They should express na how they felt at that time (breakup phase) and how these changes are affecting them.

Dev is possessive about both the ladies in his life. It can be related to the past that he has gone through and its quite possible that some deep and darker secrets are buried in it. It will only be disclosed with the khatri track. Until then we can only guess.

Hi
Yesterday's episode was normal for me..I dont know didn't feel any continuty issue eith it LOL ..pata nahi but I never felt any inconsistency any how

Then Devakshi scenes always cheer me up and everything fades away..so as usual they made me happy nd brought huge smile on my face ..thoigh yeah Sona watering plants in their personal time alone at hime Dev cancelled his meeting yo stay back was 😳 LOL and I was like frowning when Sona says "koi dekh lega" and in my head I was like "arey ek makhhi bhi nahi hai ghar mein kuch dekhne ke liye..Sona yaar please" LOL I was thinking why Sona doesnt feel like pampering her husband showing him a bit of love make him feel loved special, it always comes first from Dev's sode mostly so ye ek shikayat toh hai mujhe LOL, Sona is least expressesive , she should be a bit open..nahi ?..young couples dont usually leave a chance to you know what have some fun nd utkize their chance in best possible way 😉 though I a, jappy Dev and Sonakshi are not so desperate but come on after fights and staying away , you automatically craves for some closeness
Alas, they are Dev Sona they are way too sensible cautious when it comes to this..its good as well as bad too ..pshtt

Bose family scene was a nice warm sequence and.. guess what I was wishing for..."Bijoy Asha Please adopt Dev and bring Devakshi to this goise permanently..Please I beg" I man see how happy nd light atmosphere this house has ..so calming and soothing

Rest about Dev Ishwari , past and everything
I very honestly cant think of such a deep dark past of theirs..I am right now unable to imagine so I wont put anything regarding it..like I can not assume and if I will feel anything I will surely come back

Rest few points which mine and yours matched (I mentioned mine in saumie's post)

1 Dev's possesiveness -yes I felt that too, amd he has his reasons like I mentioned theor it reminded me of Shaheer's interview from serial launch where he said " pehli baar aisa joga ki beta m ko chodna hi nahi chahta"
and I got glimpse of it

2 Next Dev being equally protective for Sona yes, i saw that hug moment of yesterday's episode and felt that , its not just Ish only but Sona too , and his reasons for bein very careful about not letting Sona even get a scratch is purely because she is JUST HIS ,I mean something very dear personal for whom he has craved for 28 years of his life and he doesnt have to share her with anyone..also he fears that he might loose her again may be..so it goes very deep for him..

but I personally dont Want him to go so far away in the processes of shielding Sonakshi that he drowns himself in to worries and feels suffocated and becmoes unapproachable..I would want him to share his burden with her equally if not more ..lets see if it happens or not
and here as well I could relate myself to Dev ..about being too concious to not show your iseries just to keep the pain to yourself SIGHH ..its like torture :(

Now coming back to yesterday ..I was fine with episode all in all I enjoyed it like usually I do :)

Definitely there is more to dev's past than what is showed.
I think it is interesting and quite possible that dev also knows something that ishwari thinks no one does. But I don't think its the same secret that khatri knows. Again who is khatri ???? What he has done for which dev tells him to stay away from ishwari?????? Nobody knows. But the secret that khatri knows will be the turning point in the son mother relation and will shake its very foundation. So i don't think dev knows the same secret because then why hasn't that shaken his belief on his mother

first and foremost an honest confession...have been a silent reader of your post for some time ,absolutely love it and even though i keep on planning to comment somehow it gets delayed or lost...finally am here and you have raised really valid points

even i agree about dev sona..the writer's absolute failure in kindling passion between a couple so in love is quite evident...the saving grace of such scenes are only the effortless banter and comfort of the actors...even i was aghast the way yesterday's scene played out...one actually expected them to atleast try getting intimate instead we get a wife more interested in watering plants..seriously????

coming to dev ishwari now...yes they seem to have a past much murkier than poverty or the suffering related to that...this is something beyond that...dev knows something and so does ishwari both maybe unware that the other knows...his guilt, protectiveness and frustration all stem out of that...time and again trying to move forward or be happy only to be pulled back into that rut

just like for sona ,dev also lives in constant fear of losing her...why he gets irritated when she insists on sharing his past...what if she cannot bear it and leaves him, what would she think of his mother or his family...he cannot let his mother fall in anyone's eyes ...hence this wall all around him when that past is mentioned...

but as the track goes i see him realizing the unfairness of all of this on sona as all their effort to have a married life keeps on failing due to his family issues...i se him opening his past to her...ishwari ka insecurity has to reach its peak before she falls and that has to be something major between dev and sona...if dev shares his past with sona it becomes evident in her face the importance sona holds for him...she would be unable to turn a blind eye to that...

wonder what she did that khatri scares the life out of her ...the reason tomorrow if dev breaks this cord would be sona and never their past...only from there would start her redemption...

and sona was upset about lying to maa and rightly so..but then dev knows his mother very well...as said in first promo..woh kuch bolti nahi par mein samajh jaata hoon...and that is scary ...

as i had mentioned in one of my posts dev scares me to some extent...he is indeed complicated and dark ...like a vortex sucking you in ...sona is going to go through hell and back before they attain any sanity in thier wedded life..and true it is not possible for a person who spend 28 years of his life in darkness to embrace light so easily..dev is trying ,struggling he too will falter and they may finally find their sunrise and peace ...actually am very excited for this phase of the story..hopefully makers avoid the constant melodrama and give us balanced episodes...

exactly my thoughts...awesome post
Khatri definitely know something abt Ishwari's past...may be that's related to Dev ...Holi epi mein Ishwari said to Dev ki aise log bahot dangerous hote hain". kuch toh hidden truth hai jo baad mein samne aayega...
that cud be the reason of Ishwari being so possessive abt Dev or vice versa...
Bejoy ka behaviour suddenly sweet kaise ho gaya Dev ke liye...means dots hi nahi di cv's ne ki connect karen

Awesum post Deepsel...
Dev and Ishwari's past is definitely is very dark...
Hints were always given
Ishwari alone and beautiful lady with 4 kids to take care of and this society will always give probs
Khatri was a neighbour and in one seen they show he tries to force her but she escapes somehow and Dev sees that she's holding a knive coming back home very late...
And then during Sona's accident he says his mom holdinh knive before some idiots...
Dev being a kid could never support his mom even if he wanted to and he saw how his mom supported them like a man...fighting with vultures trying to protect herself and her kids...
Apart from this, they were in utter poor conditions...
They dint have money to pay rent so were thrown out...
Ishwari was ridiculed when she was a servant and her saree was torn
Dev didn't play Holi bcoz he has only one uniform...
His school books were donated for 2 years by his master...
His mom scolded him bitterly for distributing sugar at Nikki's birth...
Ishwari's brother could make her be at his house only for a week bcoz maami was brutal enough to ill treat them...they moved out and took another house in a week's time
The greater help till now shown was Maama had to sell his PF to save Riya..

The only hope that kept both mom and son to keep growing was the fact that Dev will study sincerely and attain higher education and make his mom and family come out of their grief...Dev had an additional guilt that Neha could not study like him...

Mom and Son grew together through thick and thin...They shared problems, their worries, their insecurities, their fear and their hope not by talking to each other but feeling it together...go through it together being each other's strength..They always thought once Dev bcums a great person all this will be gone...

Surely Sona would not understand at one go...but definitely she would be the one who would stand by him and his mom make them both come out of their insecurities and fear...

Hi, Thank you for making a post and for the warm welcome (couldn't reply on the previous thread).🤗 Bose family scenes are always refreshing, was happy to see how Dev felt at home around them. Papa Bose being sweet was odd for me too but I guess you tend to be cordial and put away your differences for major occasions. The romance to seems forced and unnatural of late.

Yes, the past is way darker than what has been shown so far. Like someone mentioned in the thread both Dev & Ishwari are holding on to some secret albeit different versions of the same incident and Khatri is the key to unlock it. Dev's behavior with Sona is still a puzzle to me, safe to say just confuses me. I am not as insightful of human behavior as some of you here.

And honestly I am now getting impatient with both Dev's and Sona's characters and the story just doesn't seem to be moving forward. All we seem to get in the episodes is more and more of Ish's insecurity, Dev-Sona fights and patch ups with no learning or growth in relationship. Neha's story is on hold. The pace sometimes is at lightening speed with so much happening at once and sometimes it is such a drag.

All said, I am still curious to see how the CVs develop the plot and sensibly tie in all the lose ends together. I must say that the makers atleast have not deviated heavily from their initial vision, they have definitely tweaked some bits. For this we must appreciate this team.

Most of the analysis on this thread are in one direction- dark past with known and unknown part with some mystery.
IMO - whatever happened in the past and the current obsession of mother and son can't be established psychologically. This obsession is different - waiting for b'day to get the company of son for shopping - treating son and daughters differently, not approving sona are the indicators of "Jocasta obsession".
