The dialogue though disturbing, intended to convey that Dev is trying to take control of the situation by stalking etc ,that he can control her emotions. . By stopping her to get attached to anyone but him.

Poor him, reality will strike him so bad when he realises that Sonakshi is hurt and it is her life and her decisions now and he can't control what she feels or decides about Ritwik. This will lead to breakdown.

He needs these assurances because he's seeing her moving away from him. It was he who put her in this state. And he wants to check for himself to see if she was really trying to move on or faking it. When reality (the recent promo) hits him that's when he'll realize that she's slipping away from him. He still doesn't get the impact of the situation. He's still in the "mein kaha hoon" daze... He still hasn't understood what's going around him. He broke up with her & thought it would be simple.. He thought she would be sitting in a corner & brooding & sulking like him. But when he's seeing her ready to accept another man in her life he wants to test her & see whether she really wants to move or not...If she fails the test then he's winning. But if she passes then he's losing...

I would say it was 50-50 in this episode! 😉

i guess obsessive dev will last till drinking fiasco... that promise will make him realise it's all over b/w them... somewhere i feel rithwick has that hint that sona only wants dev but he wants hat kind of assurance from dev tooo... once he get that like he said in today's segment he will help them...

I think they're purposely showing this contrast. On one hand we have Dev who's love has reached the level of obsession. He doesn't give a damn about right and wrong anymore and when you think about it, he seldom did when it came to sona. On the other hand, we have ritwik.. who is just about the most sorted person you can come across and who is, on paper, perfect for Sonakshi.

The romantic in me is loving this side of Dev. This frustration of not being able to entertain the thought his Sonakshi with anyone else. It's driving him to do crazy things. It's good. It's ok. When I demanded a ridiculous,all consuming love, this was part of the package. I will readily accept it.

But I do want is for him to actually take some steps towards winning her back. Right now, all he wants is to break this marriage. She can sit there heartbroken all her life, he will be ok with it, coz he's heartbroken too. But the moment she starts moving on, all hell breaks loose. You can't have your cake and eat it too, Mr Dixit. If you can't see her with someone else than have the guts to be with her. That is all I want from him now :)

I don't know..I don't really trust the writers to give a proper redemption to any of these characters here..So out of the 3 main protagonists, two of them have lost their head..Ishwari has been made into a full fledged psycho while Dev is almost there..Two complex characters who have been through a lot in life, who have this dysfunctional relationship going on and right now both are off the rails 😆Ishwari is beyond redemption right now..The only thing they can do is admit she is crazy and take her to a shrink..Am afraid these writers don't know where to stop..Cos forget Dev, am sure these ppl are eventually gonna turn Ishwari into the best mom in law ever..My point is if you are eventually gonna do that, why even ruin it to such an extent? Similarly, here its not just about a re-union or Dev-Sona getting married to each other..The journey matters as much as the destination..So i really hope the writers know what they are doing..Am still waiting for the day Dev gives up..More than him taking a stand, I really want to see a scene where he is mature enough to be happy for Sonakshi and just let her go..Of course there are still million other ways of getting them back together and making Dev fight for his love but before that, please make him selfless enough to let her go CVs..And that has to happen soon enough..Its taxing to see two obsessed characters especially because am one of those who is convinced they are going overboard with their obsession..

Yeah surely he is turning obsessive with every passing day. He just doesn't want to move on and neither wants her to do so.

Really...u think he doubts her...sorry but it's not doubt...it's care and love for her due to which he always follow her.he want to see her and he wants to know how she is...yes he is stalking but only to care for her or to see her...now at that time,he listening to his heart and about sona, she loves her still but she is thinking from her mind not heart...
