The lines you wrote, pasted below, give me an entirely new outlook to see the promo. You are right. . It is Sona's way of reminding him that He took that decision, for them, alone. . And she will do the same. A decision taken alone, impacting both of them. . And Dev stands there helpless like Sona was that day.

Sona was so so strong in that scene , she punched him where it hurts reminding him that he took the decision of breaking up alone for both of them. A life altering decision.

This time she'll take a decision that again involves both of them, that's again life altering , and she's taking it alone.

I agree with many points u raised here ..the only thing I ended up thinking is that..What mistake Dev did by taking decision for them ..she is doing the same infact this time it involves third person's life too..Isnt it wrong ..

I understand the circumstances what she is going through..but an unhappy marriage is worst then anything in this world ..she hasnt been this impulsive ever..but this time none of her logic proves her marriage decision right ..mere hisaab se atleast :(

and what Dev is doing is right yet wrong ..in a way he is stopping her from doing blunder..but yes he can not control her life so that way he is wrong..and yes he is not the verge of loosing himself in worst possible way..and cross all boundaries..ab dekhna ye hai ki what he will do :)

This is one of my fav promo ever.Reminds me of how he wanted to wash off Sonakshi's mehendi when she teased him about writing someone else's name on her hand. How could he ever bear the thought of his Sonakshi permanently attaching her name with someone else. He's hurt. He's mad. And he's just about had enough of this so called mangetar. Angry young man Dixit in action is right up my alley😃

But I couldn't and wouldn't blame Sona .

Lots of people get married in less than perfect situation. In many bengali families marriage still happen as arranged marriage when the bride and groom are still complete strangers to each other . They build their lives around and with each other post-marriage and start from scratch.

And here we've a beautiful friendship between Sona n Rithik , which I think is sufficient for their marriage.

Suppose Dev never acts . No obstruction and the marriage had happened . What then ??

You think it'll fail ??

Absolutely not.

It'd take them years to reach there but R-S would've reached there. Sona would've eventually given herself completely to the marriage. That's just how she is. Who she is.

She has complete faith on her ownself that a few years down the marriage she'll do good by Rithik , n I've complete faith on her.

Meanwhile she's hiding absolutely nothing from Rithik and if he's ready to wait , then why not ?? It's between the two persons after all.

At least it's a mutual decision. 😉

what u said is 100% ..arrange marriage happens of these terms only and I dread that ..the only silver lining here according to me is their "love"..which isn't superficial and goes deep with in and sona isnt doing this in sane state of mind so she will repent it if she goes with it since she isnt ready for it from with in..so yeah I dont know if dev will do anything or not..but I hope it gets stopped anyhow sighh
