So the new promo is out .
And since I've got a day off on Sunday , and have a little time at hands of course I've to make a post on it. 😆
The thing that immediately got my attention in the promo is that - the sexual tension between two angry frustrated stubborn hurt n immensely in love human beings.
It was sizzling.
OK so that's that.
Dev looked super mad n pissed off at the world in general n probably Sonakshi too , no more having that lost stupid cute wide grin over his face when Sona was lashing at him . He looked booted n suited for a fight .
No more noticing only the hair blowing around Sona's face and the details of her facial architecture .
But listening to the words and responding in a a typical scathing " Enough " !
It was evident that he's struggling . With himself . He knows that the walls are closing in and soon every thing will slip out of his hands like quick sand , and the guy whom he couldn't bear to hear being mentioned as Sona's fiance will become permanent part of Sona's life .
Since he couldn't bear this thought how could Sonakshi be okay with it ?? That's what blows his mind off ! How coudld she even mention another guy's name ??
" Bar Bar use apna mangetaar maat kaho. "
He looked like a caged animal, a hurt animal on the top of it , ready and raring to pounce at any one in vicinity . He's reached that point when all the past days of insane behavior - stalking , sulking , crying , throwing things around and fuming in helpless anger - all these are finally taking a toll on him ,his mind , his sanity 😆 or the left over of it 😆 he's one step away from getting unhinged and ready to cross the boundaries , do things that he hasn't done ever , stepping in the greyer , more disturbing behavior zones that human mind traverse when for a long time they're subjected to mental torment.
But is he ready to face his mother ?? Not yet. Not in the beginning of the promo.
He still couldn't hear any thing against mom and Sona's words were , as always , hard hitting and impactful because they are nothing n nothing but truth.
She's again handing out truth sandwich like it's no body's business.
" Your mother can't see me happy with you and you can't see me happy with some one else ! You two can NOT control my life. "
No they can't. Ishwari can't force her out of his Son's mind n heart whether or not it makes her happy.
She's so done with their shits !
Dev couldn't force her to stay stuck for good pining for Dev. Yeah she'd always love him. But she'll also do right by her family, if Dev doesn't do anything VERY VERY soon , she'll marry Rithik and going by what an Iron lady she is , she'll learn to be happy n content with a husband who's a trusted confidant n friend.
She was in no mood to listen to his crap excuses n tantrums any more . She told him on his face,
She cut Dev's, " Sonakshi... " with the gut punching.
" I'll marry him and that's my promise to you."
And walked out. Simple as that.
It was an ultimatum. Not a challenge , not emotional black mail , not some thing that she needs to or wants to prove to him.
It was setting a stop watch n placing it in his hand and letting him know clearly that he's only this much time left , before he loses even the right to call her Sonakshi , the right to look at her fondly, the right to love her.
Leaving behind a Dev who's once again left in a dark place.
Sona was so so strong in that scene , she punched him where it hurts reminding him that he took the decision of breaking up alone for both of them. A life altering decision.
This time she'll take a decision that again involves both of them, that's again life altering , and she's taking it alone.
She shined with her strength that comes from a mind free of guilt , and as the door closed , hopelessness and panic engulfed Dev , making his world a sad empty town.
