There! I found your post 😃

You listed down everything - nothing to add and am at a loss of words with how Ishwari's character is being built up (or should I say built down!!)

Yes, you should say built down. 😊

Again, she seems to find new lows to bury everything into. She is beyond my understanding. Forget understanding, beyond any feeling for me to want to understand...
Obviously the makers feel that 'love for the parent' is divine & above everything so reason enough for the angst in the love story... But but but...

Yes, there are many too many "buts" and I suspect most viewers are feeling them..

No matter what backstory they show or how uncombed Ish's hair in the flashback scenes, viewers cannot abandon common sense and not call a spade a spade.

I am daring to hope slightly as they themselves seem to point to the hypocrisy from within the universe of the show (although shut down promptly now but makes me feel that there is a reason for this mess they are creating) - Neha's direct words...

Yes, that is the hope but human emotions do not wait for episode 142 to get triggered. Ish cannot be shown so wierd till the switch they turned on around epi 100 is turned off. However, it looks like they found it easier to resort to drama than work a little harder on their script

Mama - I had hopes on but given up now. What's with the sudden change? He could show the mirror to his Sister earlier, why is he shying away now?

I am seeing him a little differently. I did not see the episode in which he informed Dev that Ish did not like their relationship (for convenience sake they did not make him say "any relationship") but I saw yesterday's episode. To me he came across as on the verge of wanting to address it but not sure how to yet given Ish has just returned from hospital over her insecurity.

He was doubtful with Ish when she said Dev is fine and I think in the up coming track he will start being less passive. They opened the door to that.

They also saw him go to Dev and question if he was sure he was ok. This not the right time for him to ask Dev to re consider given the drastic step Ish took.

With the brilliant acting both Shaheer & Erica are doing, I am choosing to ignore (at least try to for few episodes) the unfathomable Ishwari...

I will do that too. I will skip her scenes I think till Ish 1.0 is back.

How can a Mother be so blind?
Dev was obviously sad and Ishwari was obviously blind. They didn't camouflage this so its giving me little hope...

What is your reading of the future track? Can we hope that we will get all the stuff I penned down under potential rewards?? I so badly want to see Dev win her over and later woo her. By making him propose to her just after he realized his love, they deprived us of that. Maybe they were saving it for this phase...

Great post. They are changing these characters way beyond recognition.
Well almost evryone mentioned Ishwari, I feel no one can sympathise with her anymore, she has crossed limits. She sees how happy Dev is to know Ish likes Sona, feels guilty of being a bad mother. And the next morning she is back to taunting Sona that its btr for everyone this way. Atleast show some genuine concern for Dev, this fellow was mad in happiness last night abt Sona and they are now broken up next morning. Do you really believe the incompatible reason given by Dev or it is to please your mind that Dev is fine n everything will back to the way it was.

I cried with Dev as well but I just couldnt correlate his reactions during the break up and the next day. Why was he so rude, insensitive to Sona? I think he knows her well enuf now that this wud crush Sona real bad. I understand he wanted to part ways, a normal intense conversation was needed, not this accusatory, hurtful. It wud have seemed btr if he wud hav cried infront of Sona in hospital asking her forgiveness. The next day also he didnt ask her how she was doing...n a sorry was badly needed in the phone convo.

And Sona..well I happy with her lately but if she agrees to marry Ritwik happily then I will be super sad. The marriage proposal, Ritwik, friendship is happening way too fast.

Maybe the creatives can focus on Neha Ranveer for a while to show sufficient time has passes to justify rishta track

Ishwari's character I agree is going from bad to worse... I never expected that she wont be satisfied at their being away but further wants to cement it... But whats most repulsive is Dev Dixit's character... It looked most unconvincing - all his crying pulling his hair... So fake after the way you did it... I dont know was this intentional for the CVs or this came across like this...

But I would give it to them for sona and her family... Brings back the old sona at last...

Exactly!! I've seen so many couples who seem fine after the break up but as soon as one person gets into another relationship, all hell breaks loose. Even I'm shallow that way, I was waiting for the jealousy track since day one😆
You're right, Dev needs to actually put some action behind his words. For once, think about why his mother does what she does. Remove the blind veil from his eyes that his mother is a God. The CVs have their work cut out for them.
You're so right. we're always on the same wavelength😃😃 as my cell doesn't let me post the hug emoji, accept this pls *BIG HUG*

You know what... During these vacations of mine, I watched quite a few Hindi shows... (Love giving my Mom company 😊 )... My mom watches Siya Ke Ram repeat on SP (which is at midnight) so hv to watch few shows leading up to it... There is a show on SP by the same production house with a similar but diff premise -
Father of the girl doesn't want the leads together.
He is obnoxious. I am amazed how he brings out those totally crazy expressions.
Does everything to separate them.
Even put an unconscious Daughter in the car & left her on the hill so he could blame the ML and put him in jail.
The ML is quite vocal about what the Father is doing - calling it emotional abuse n all (I sometimes feel the makers take our comments from here n get the ML in that show say the words)
Last night, they spent the entire episode in just getting the ML pull the FL out of the ditch (or whatever) even when they had 3 jeep full of army guys to help!!!!!
The camera zooming, the 3 times turn, the OTT expressions - this production house has capacity for immense drama!
The story is written by Mamta Patnaik.

With KRPKAB, they seem to have attempted something different and the OTT is quite toned down but with producing few shows together, they don't seem to have the time to think out of box all the time. Drama is easy to do with little use of brain... 😃 and as they reached a dramatic point in the story, they resorted to drama...

One thing obvious in that show is the high passion quotient - both ML & FL are quite bold, vocal about what they feel & don't shy away from showing it...

Guess in walking the balance between subtlety & drama, they made the love subtle & focused drama on the Mother... (the Father from that show & Mother from this seem to compete with each other in this dept...in their own ways)...

I know you love the jealousy track :). I do too but in this case, it is feeling force fitted. The problem is not that the leads hv had a misunderstanding and broken up that jealousy is needed to make them realise their love for the other.
With this track, we will see Dev suffer so much more but he feels his decision is justified as it is for his great Mom. He loves, misses & knows Sona's value was evident from his breakdown yesterday. What are they trying to make him realise? He knows already...
Instead if they focused on somehow opening Ishwari's thought process & actions in front of Dev. Dev slowly finding the courage to see what Neha sees and move him out of guilt & towards wanting to question it would be more useful...

Maybe they want to trigger a reaction from Dev that he can't hold within anymore - through this jealousy track. He is putting up a brave front now and maybe through that track, we get a Dev who is unable to hold himself & breaks. This time in front of his blind Mom. Because there has to be something big that will make Ishwari see beyond her nose...

Maybe Dev's jealousy & break down leads to Ishwari's realisation. Only something big will shake these 2 out of their righteous oblivion.

Only when the facade breaks can these 2 move forward. If not, this will remain a deadlock with an ideal Son & blind Mother.

Only then can any redemption track make sense...

In between we will keep getting spurts of drama as from what I hv seen on the other show, the makers love it 😃

By forgoing the subtle approach for the break up, they may just have put themselves in a position in which they have no option but to show a nice gratifying redemption. Will that help woo you back to the show? 😊

No, on the contrary, it is now Sona's turn to be butchered! We went through Ishwari tantrums, Dev's senseless rejection of Sona and now Sona's turn to make a mockery of so called genuine love.. Heck, this is way beyond my heart and mind.

And then this new guy, whatever his name is, has no charm and the way he talks as if he has got such an important role in the show... Give me a break!

I think, Ishwari should commit suicide, Dev turn to an alcoholic and go back to the street, and Sona settle down with this bong guy who we are told is bringing happiness back in Sona's life.

😃. That is exactly what they seemed to have done. They took the easy way out. Unfortunately they did it for the basic premise of the show.

One thing obvious in that show is the high passion quotient - both ML & FL are quite bold, vocal about what they feel & don't shy away from showing it...

Guess in walking the balance between subtlety & drama, they made the love subtle & focused drama on the Mother... (the Father from that show & Mother from this seem to compete with each other in this dept...in their own ways)..

Why oh why did we get overly subtle romance and non subtle mom?? I hope in this phase we see a change.

I know you love the jealousy track :). I do too but in this case, it is feeling force fitted. The problem is not that the leads hv had a misunderstanding and broken up that jealousy is needed to make them realise their love for the other.

Maybe Dev's jealousy & break down leads to Ishwari's realisation. Only something big will shake these 2 out of their righteous oblivion.

I think that is what they want to do. It is again an easy track to write and viewers mostly enjoy seeing jealous male leads.

I have seen instances of people who have separated on account of family issues but got back because either of them could not move on with others nor could they see the ex moving on with someone else. Till they are both single, there is an unacknowledged hope at the back of the mind.

Only when the facade breaks can these 2 move forward. If not, this will remain a deadlock with an ideal Son & blind Mother.

Only then can any redemption track make sense...

In between we will keep getting spurts of drama as from what I hv seen on the other show, the makers love it 😃

😊We are definitely in for a lot of drama. I think Bijoy will also start some drama on his own as if Ish's drama was not enough. They are deliberately making him take the initiative to fix a match. He was shown as being visibly upset with Dev and family when they broke up. They will likely go the cliched route of Bijoy being opposed and his health is anyway an issue so they will use all that to create a dilemma for Sona when Dev finally gets around to finding a way to convince his mom.

In all this, I hope they atleast give me a Dev/Sona I can enjoy.
