100 episodes of very beautiful journey and all sadness in the next episodes which is also managable but this madness of Ishwari is no no. I don't want this show to become a typical show. Please cvs don't disappoint us.

The main issue here is that they want to show the second version but they end up going with the first version and still expect us to look at her as a poor mother struggling with her feelings..You cant have the cake and eat it too CVs 😆 You have a fantastic actor on board..And Ishwari as a character had so much potential..You have now reduced her to a crazy woman who is off the rails and will do everything in her power to keep her son all for herself without an ounce of guilt..This will only get worse when you redeem her and make all the characters justify her actions..I can almost see Sonakshi giving a lecture on why Ishwari is not wrong and she understands why she did whatever she did once these two patch up after 50 or 100 or how many ever episodes 😆

So true. They cannot have it both ways. The writer's interview gave us a hint that they do not see her as someone who needs psychological intervention. They want us to sympathize with her because of her back story and understand the reason for her insecurity. Then they should have worked harder on their script and character sketch.

They are forgetting that no matter what back story they show and how uncombed Ish's hair looks in her flashbacks, most viewers will not fall for it. Everyone has enough experience of mother-son relationships and can apply their own common sense to call a spade a spade i.e term this as dysfunctional/illogical/poorly written/plain annoying

There! I found your post 😃

You listed down everything - nothing to add and am at a loss of words with how Ishwari's character is being built up (or should I say built down!!)

Again, she seems to find new lows to bury everything into. She is beyond my understanding. Forget understanding, beyond any feeling for me to want to understand...
Obviously the makers feel that 'love for the parent' is divine & above everything so reason enough for the angst in the love story... But but but...

I am daring to hope slightly as they themselves seem to point to the hypocrisy from within the universe of the show (although shut down promptly now but makes me feel that there is a reason for this mess they are creating) - Neha's direct words...
Mama - I had hopes on but given up now. What's with the sudden change? He could show the mirror to his Sister earlier, why is he shying away now?

With the brilliant acting both Shaheer & Erica are doing, I am choosing to ignore (at least try to for few episodes) the unfathomable Ishwari...

How can a Mother be so blind?
Dev was obviously sad and Ishwari was obviously blind. They didn't camouflage this so its giving me little hope...

🤗 Yes we do, don't we? I mean react similarly to the episodes...

I was thinking the same exact thing. Yesterday a lot of our forum members had tears in their eyes after watching Dev and Sona cry miserably. But I was sitting there fuming at Ishwari. Her nonsensical behaviour is taking the focus away from my fav couple and it's getting on my nerves now. She has reached the point of no return for me. No matter what she does, how much she repents I don't think I can ever find myself to have the same respect I had for her in the initial episodes.

Exactly. They should realize that for the audience to feel the angst, the basis of the angst has to be established properly first. Because they made her "nonsensical" as you so rightly put it, we are expected to accept the other nonsensical things that arise on account of it, such as -

- Dev not even wondering why she does not like the relationship? What is lacking in Sona?
- Dev acting like a jerk in the break up scene
- Dev not doing what the Dev who used to confide in her and speak his mind freely with Sona would be expected to do i.e. discuss with Sona and accept that her non - acceptance has made him very unhappy BUT with a heavy heart they have to pause their relationship..

The CVs are making Shaheer potray such intense expressions so that the audience starts sympathising with Dev, and it's working. The whole forum's hearts are collectively melting watching Dev be miserable. But I would still need some more convincing before I can truly manage to forget the injustice done to Dev's character by the CVs. The 2 break up episodes shook me up. Even though I've had a lot of complaints with Dev I never expected him to have the reaction he had while breaking up. Him silencing her to talk softly as she tried to come to terms with what was happening was the most difficult moment for me to watch.
I guess the jealousy track and some more yearning for Sonakshi would probably help me sympathize with him more than I do currently.

Again we are of one mind on this I think. He is a grown man of 28. Seeing him pine is a good fist step. However, it has to be followed up with some action from his end to at least understand Ish and post that plan his next steps...

Along the way, I am all for jealousy. I know many on the forum feel it is disappointing that he needs to feel jealous to realize her worth but I have mixed views on this...

I love seeing jealous male leads. Yes, I am shallow that way so I know I will like seeing this track. Also, I have seen this with real life couples who separate because of family or reasons. They are sometimes able to take the step of pausing the relationship and stay away for some time from the person they love but find it very difficult to accept the ex moving on with someone else. I know of at least one couple that got back together for this reason. I think that is because till then there is some hope however unacknowledged at the back of mind but the possibility of the ex ending up with someone else ends that hope and prompts one to act.

My apple iPAD has not seen any addition in episodes beyond 118, including those carrot Devakshi scenes towards the later part. For me, those and the current episodes just do not exist.

If I am not mistaken , I think what is bothering you the most is how Sona has been treated. By Ish and Dev both. I am sure you find Dev's actions ungentlemanly.

By forgoing the subtle approach for the break up, they may just have put themselves in a position in which they have no option but to show a nice gratifying redemption. Will that help woo you back to the show? 😊

The CVs have made mistakes following her waking up but I wonder if it is because she is like a little kid isn't she. All this time she hasn't been the 'parent'. Dev has been a parent to her. She may have grafted to make ends meet but ultimately she seeked comfort from Dev. She is now not thinking with her brains but rather that a toy which was taken from her has now been given back to her.

However, I also can't help but think that perhaps like a kid she is naive and gullible. I actually don't think she knows that Dev broke it because of her. She is happy it's over but she doesn't know that Dev knew that she doesn't like Sona hence the break up.

I truly believe that she thinks they weren't compatible, she was right about Sona and it didn't last. Yes, the decision is to her advantage but there is a slight misunderstanding here:

1) Dev thinks she tried to commit suicide because he neglected her for Sona. We know that isn't true. She wasn't commiting suicide, it was just in the moment of wanting sleep that she ended up overdosing herself.

2) Ish doesn't know what Mamaji has gone and done. All she knows is what she heard from Sona and Dev.

She is in her delluded world yes but I genuinely think this is not her being heartless, just her rejoicing that it didn't work out. If she knows the real reason, she probably will die of guilt that her son sacrificed his love for her and we all know that day she will go begging to Sona.

Yes, hope we get those moments. What do we do about Ish though? Her character is really spoiling the party.

Ultimately she is just a backward control freak! She wants to choose her bahu so then again Dev is being a good bachaa and following her decision which means that he will be connected to her thru her choice. Oops makes her sound very self centred.

I guess she will redeem herself the day she realises how much Dev loves Sona and the sacrifice he made of his love because of her. That will make her realise how much loves her and that she has nothing to worry about...till then, let's hope the CVs give us some passion and intensity!! Tho while they were together they couldn't, when they seperated I wonder if we hoping for a bit too much?! I want loads of scenes where they face each other, pine for each other, are close together with intensity and yet have to walk away from one another.

Sona needs to see how much Dev loves her and they need to show all this before the re Union. How even tho they not together, he will still fulfil all his promises by being her shadow almost.
