i guess u hvnt seen such MILs in real life...but i hv and i assure u that they r showing the raw truth...i am gving u some examples...can u believe that i know someone who doesnt even allow her son to shut his bedroom door at night even wen he is sleeping with his wife...she only allows a curtain at the door...can u believe i know another MIL who always takes her son out with her wenever he has invitation in another place with his wife so that his wife cannot go out with his son...ishwari is a very much real character...and the CVs hv always told us from pre-launch promos that dev's mom will be possessive and so devakshi will face problems...the MILs that i just gv examples are also very sweet and caring with everyone else excepts their DILs...my closest friend is one such DIL...she always tells me that she has noone to complain since noone will believe...everyone else thinks that her MIL is a very sweet person but only she knows how her MIL behaves with her...ishwari is nothing compared to wat i hv seen in real life...a son's mother can be obsessed to the height of infinity...i hv known one who even tried to commit suicide because of her MIL's over-obsessive nature...here they r showing that ishwari lost her husband at very young age...but the examples that i gv still hv their husbands alive but still they r so over-obsessed with their sons...this happens mostly wen mothers hv only one son irrespective of whether they hv daughters or not...so dont worry...the CVs r very true to reality and they r not showing any OTT drama...
and we r not supposed to connect with ishwari...the CVs hv always promised us this topic where devakshi will face problems because of dev's mother...the purpose of this show is to explore this facet of the society where MILs refuse to accept another woman in son's life and its repercussions...
most of the cruel MILs that i hv seen around me surprisingly hv daughters too...so ishwari hvng 4 children is also not for drama's sake...only common element that i find in these kinds of mothers in real life is that they hv only one son...and ishwari too has only one son...

I completely agree with you.
I believe people on the forum are upset because its an uneasy feeling when you watch a mother behave like this for her son. But as you have given some very good examples, such mothers duly exist in the society. I feel sad for the DIL's of such MIL's. It must be a living hell for such DIL's.
I remember people complain when Sona was all dreamy, when post-confession Dev was all lovey-dovey (some even compared it with fantasy stories 😆). You can't really expect life to be a one-track what you like kind of a thing. It just doesn't exist that way. Things can be simple or can be crude. Its a show which has done a daring act of touching a mother's character which is very complex but real and portrayed it on-screen for all of us. One may dislike/hate (FYI I hate Ishwari too) watching something like that on tv, but certainly that doesn't make the work of creators bad. I am glad someone brought that subject onscreen.
I for one am really looking forward to the story, how it unfolds, what effects does it would have on Dev-Sona and finally how Ishwari would realise what blunders she has done all her life n almost destroyed the lives of her kids emotionally.
Thank goodness none of her daughters have any character of Ishwari n they won't be destroying any future lives like mother.
