I know those weren't his exact words but that's what he meant!

She let him feel guilty instead of easing his fears..
I'm let down by Dev's character as well coz of his inability to notice that Ishwari is starting to behave rudely with sonakshi and also the fact that his reasons for hiding the relationship are starting to sound lame to me..
Lastly, coming to Sonakshi, she has become quite subdued recently and i would love it if she had a confrontation with Ishwari or GKB but that seems unlikely.. and also, am I the only one who cringes when she addresses Ishwari as Maa? I know it's sweet n al but I dunno it just ends up looking awkward to me..
I guess I should take a break from the show seeing that I'm only complaining about everything..
The only saving grace is ranveer neha's relationship which is progressing beautifully.

My sentiments exactly - thank you

A break might do me good :)
Ishwari constantly being in her utopia is just irritating me. Her ignoring her daughters is disappointing. Her silent manipulation is beyond me as they have cast an actress who oozes goodness. I thought they want to bring out the grey shades but am searching for a bit of grey in the soon-turning dark psyche... I am not liking it... I am sure last thing they wanted to do was spread negativity so I should give this a break for sometime...

Dev - I put myself in his shoes. My work hours are crazy but he keeps a crazier schedule... The guy is not getting sleep and thus time it's not because he can't fall asleep but he just has so much to do and he desperately wants to grab those few mins with Sona. In all this, he still manages to open a children's ward and take his Mother for it.., feed her... I swear, how much more is he supposed to do!
When I am totally busy, I tell my parents likewise and they understand. They expect me to keep them posted and are ok if I can't speak.
Here the Mother explicitly expects, the Son feels guilty of not doing more ... hmmm

Sona - I am speechless. All I want to say us, you don't lose yourself in love, you bring yourself into love!

Hiding the relationship - honestly, I feel it's their relationship. Hide it if you want to. Disclose when you want to. In the Indian context, telling family is as good as a proposal. There is no concept of dating, courtship etc. The moment you say you love someone... Aha! Marriage time. But courtship is the most beautiful phase in any relationship... Who wants to get married in few weeks of realising you are in love for the first time... I wouldn't.

But again, I just feel the guy is so busy, the least anyone can do is let him be and let him breathe the few mins of bliss that he has...

Brings me back to the Mother... He hasn't told me. She must be responsible... He will tell me!
Why do you want to hear what you really don't want to hear!

sonakshi - again, I am speechless :))

Ok! You are right. A break will do me good :))

You don't lose yourself in love, you bring yourself into love - so so beautifully stated!! This statement is something Dev is experiencing and Sonakshi needs to incorporate.. Dev has started noticing and learning many new things thanks to love and it's the same love that is making Sonakshi lose her identity somewhere along the way.
I think each and every member of this forum wants Sonakshi out of that house. It pains me to see such a strong character keeping mum on matters where she really needs to speak out. If she doesnt she's just disrespecting herself. I'm not saying that she should start yelling at Ishwari/RR. But there's a polite way to be assertive and make your point and Sonakshi knows how to do that. I have seen her do it. It's one of the reasons why she's my favorite character.
Dev's plight is such that I feel like yelling at him and giving him a tight hug all at the same time. He deserves to keep his relationship to himself, he's earned that right. But the only reason I want him to tell Ishwari is, the more he hides it the stronger her reaction will be and she will easily hide behind this fact instead of confronting the main issue that she just doesn't want to share her son with anybody. She is willing to sacrifice her son's happiness to feed her insecurities.
Currently I'm super confused as to how the makers want to shape the show.. do they want us to sympathize with Ishwari or be mad at her or wat? A very good point that you made is the stark contrast between Ishwari's character at the moment and Supriya ji who just oozes goodness. She is one of my favorite actresses and to see her behave creepily unnerved me. Which brings me back to my original point.. a break just might be what I need! Or I could watch the series from episode one again and be happy with the way things were😆

Looks like we all badly need a break to save our sanity & mental peace.

Ishwari is not innocent, she is dangerously smart woman. The way she is changing her colors before Dev & Sona. OMG. Before Dev, she is very careful with her mask and covering her taunts towards Sona so cleverly(We can see her covering up Why? with will be back by 2 dialogue). The way she talks to Sona in Dev's absence is completely different. We are seeing the diff thats why we are demanding him to take stand for Sona but How on earth this guy can guess his mothers changing colors in his absence?
When she listened to Dev-Sona convo after havan, she conveniently picked up what ever she want and conveyed the same to her brother so smartly. I too really want to know What Ishwari actually want from Dev? Time and again, he was proving himself as a dutiful son & brother. Show me one single instance where Ishwari proved herself as a selfless mother to any of her kids?Being a mother, its really very much disturbing and frustrating to see such kind of behavior from a mother towards her kids.

Dev - I put myself in his shoes. My work hours are crazy but he keeps a crazier schedule... One side this guy is just giving, giving & giving without even saying ufff from his side and on the other side his family is taking, taking & taking from this guy endlessly and took him for granted.
When I am totally busy, I tell my parents likewise and they understand. They expect me to keep them posted and are ok if I can't speak.

Dear Writers, Pls bring back Dr. Sonakshi Bose. She is currently missing in this show.
I wouldn't. Word. Word. Word...

But again, I just feel the guy is so busy, the least anyone can do is let him be and let him breathe the few mins of bliss that he has... Yes pls, Let him breath and allow him to live this moment in his life.

Brings me back to the Mother... He hasn't told me. She must be responsible... He will tell me!
Why do you want to hear what you really don't want to hear!

Word to each & everything you said here. I honestly feel all this mess is result of a mother keeping her ego, pride, position & happiness above to her kids happiness.

Amazing post TM :) Both the parenting styles adopted by Ishwari are simply unhealthy - be it either enmeshment (the one for Dev- her golden child) or be it neglecting (the one for her daughters especially Neha)..She comes across as a complete narcissist to me with each passing episode and it is.a big let down for me :( :( Seeing Ranveer's family (especially in yesterday's episode) and Bose family on screen is such a relief these days :) A break might do good to me too :) :)

Currently, he is the only character out of these 3 with whom i haven't lost the connect. The day this guy stand silently before his mom/GKB while they taunt/disrespect Sona will be my last day of this show for sure.

I haven't watched any repeats on TV and haven't re-watched last 2 episodes online also. I am just watching old episodes to keep myself happy.

Same here. Earlier I used to watch every episode twice or thrice and the Devakshi scenes on repeat.. but since past two days don't feel inclined to do that.. maybe it's the lack of longer Devakshi scenes without Ishwari lurking around or the irritation of watching Ishwari's scary expressions God knows.
Yes, Dev hasn't completely lost the connect yet but it's still difficult to watch those scenes when Ishwari says something rude to Sonakshi and he doesnt notice (Eg : nutrition tum apna lehenga sambhalo scene and the scene in day before yesterday's episode where she said the Haa kyu statement).. I guess it's just me who can't bear to see Sonakshi being treated this way, even in Dev's absence that I'm takin out all my frustrations on the poor guy..

In that lehangha sambhalo scene, If we remove her disgusting looks towards Dev-Sona before her dialogue then the dialogue looks just normal because Sona is balancing a plate. In the Haa Kyun scene, She immediately covered it so cleverly with i will be back by 2. If we keep ourselves in Dev's place we cant see anything wrong in these scenes. Here we are the third party who are witnessing actual colors of Ishwari ji. This is the reason why i am saying Ishwari is dangerously smart woman. With the kind of respect, trust & devotion towards his mother, this guy cant even imagine in his dreams such kind of behavior from his mother(what Sona is facing in his absence).
I still trust Dev and have hope on him because this is the same guy even before the confession who shouted when mami asked Sona to mop the floor and he is the same guy who made his mother understand that Sona is a Doctor and not a maid in this house.

Hmmm maybe you're right. Possibly it's just me who mixed up these scenes in my head coz of Ishwari's annoying behaviour. In that case, my bad!

Its ok yaar. Relax. At the end, Its just a show and dont think too much and dont stress yourself.
We are getting frustrated because we are seeing complete picture before our eyes. On top that, Sona'a silence and tolerance like never before towards all taunts/insults. Leave about Ishwari, Why cant she give it back to GKB smoothly like before? Finally we are looking/demanding Dev to take stand for Sona who is actually unaware of this whole crap. I honestly believe Sona doesn't need Dev to take stand for her and she was strong enough to handle it. Lets just wait & watch. I hope writers are not going to disappoint us and i feel they really need to pull up their socks.
