Chap 3…Flashback 1 :'Jab We Met'
Meher feels very nervous at the same time excited, as this is her first trip ever... While waiting for the flight to take off, she grabs one of the newspapers and keep flipping from page to page... But then she stops…MEHER: Another Scandal?! For the umpteenth time!? Who is it this time?
Preet Juneja aka PJ?! ( she sigh helplessly) Preet …Why did you go
out with her for?!
STEWARDESS: Sir, this way plz...! (showing the sit next to meher)
When Meher finish her reading, she turns to look at the person who sit next to her and she was shocked to find the person who's sitting next to her..... It's none other than the handsome hunk , the famous actor PJ aka PREETTT.... Meher stared at him for sometime, still couldn't accept the fact that, she was actually sitting next to Preet the superstar.. After awhile, she gets some courage to make a conversation with Preet…MEHER: Hel..Hello...( her voice was utterly nervous while saying this) You're Preet Juneja right? PJ?
Preet politely nod his head.. Meher cont. asking him with another Q after getting good response from Preet...MEHER: You're going to Switzerland ? Why? To shoot a movie..?
He was not in the mood to talk nor having a conversation at that point of time especially with fans... He quickly closed his eyes and went to sleep , so that he doesn't need to talk and answer to any of Meher's questions.. Meher feels a bit upset by preet's unfriendly behaviour, though she thinks he must probably be tired, so she decides to leave him alone and wish him " Have a good nap".... !
About an hour later, the aircraft suddenly start to experiencing turbulence, all the passenger begins to panic, Meher by accidentally hold Preet's hand tightly which took Preet by surprised...MEHER: Oh my god...! The plane is falling..!!!(screaming like mad person) Haiye bhagwan plzzz don't let me die…. Mein abhi tak shaadi nahi hui hai…Plzzz…plzz…Atleast till I get married n have my beautiful chunnnummunumannu babies….haii ram ram..!(blabbering to herself, while Preet jz stared at her giving weird expression)
Then, later Meher cannot control herself anymore, she starts feeling dizzy and end up throwing up on Preet's shirt.. What can be more worst than this he thought… He try not to make any scene and compose himself... As soon as the airplane landed, Preet leaves the airplane hurriedly and vows not to meet a girl like Meher ever again… Flashback 2 :'U n Me aur Kismat' Meher returns back to India and realize that her Ambala house has been sold and her friends emptied her bank account... She got only a few hours left to pack her stuffs before the new owner move in.... Meher was very devastated, she has nowhere place to go, or anybody who she knows other than her two so-called friends… Abhi and Rhea…
Meher was crying hysterically the whole night sitting outside in front of her door's house. Then, suddenly she hears a sound of rustling footsteps coming towards her, and when she looks up, she can't believe it with her own eyes of what she just saw… MEHER : Hang on a moment, what was that?(she soliloquized) No.. That can't be, Surely that's not...
Oh my God...! (And suddenly she can't breathe.. She can't move.. Her entire frame is
concentrated on the blurry picture in front of her...)
MEHER: Preet Juneja?! Preet Juneja is the new owner?! Preet...?! Tummmm...!??
Scene shifted to the Living Room…PREET: I looked into this, but I'm still not sure what you're after.
MEHER: I told you, I don't intend to sell.. I'm sorry for keep
troubling u, but anyway I think about it and there's no way
this house could've been sold..
PREET: I don't want to hear that… I paid a lot of money for this house…!
MEHER: So I'm saying, I'll pay back that money…. Immediately..
PREET: Immediately…Y?! So what's this, you're asking me to give you
house though you have no money…??
MEHER: Take this (take out some money from her pocket), It's not
enough I know.. But I write Internet novels and the money I owe
u now, I'll pay u back...
Preet still not convince nor plan of giving up the house eitherMEHER: This house was my late father's creation... He built it firsthand…
This isn't just my house; it's also a part of me… I can't just give
It up like that……!!
After all that talk, Preet still kicks her out of the house… She checks her bag and the picture of her with her family when she was young were smashed… She starts crying and calls him arrogant, hopeless loser, other bad words…
The next morning, Preet gets ready to jog when he finds Meher in front of the house in a bench sleeping... He wakes her up and asks her to get out from here… Meher told him that she's not feeling well but still she gets up to leave and walk away from the house…
Preet start to jog, runs across the beach and when he comes back, he finds Meher on the bench again and this time he yells at her to get out from here once again... But then he noticed Meher's face looking very pale…He checks her temperature and its high, so he carries her inside the house and runs to the town to get her medicine... Preet gives Meher the medicine and asks her if she's okay and if she doesn't need to see the doctor… Meher resists going to the doctor and says she wants to stay home… Preet goes through her bags and looks at her agenda, and on the 19th it says the date where her father passed away... Preet looks at Meher sleeping and pulls a blanket over her… At night, Preet tries to cool Meher's fever down with a towel...
The next day Meher feels much better, but she acts like she's still sick so that she can stay longer… While Preet has to go out so he tells Meher to stay home and rest.... He has made her some porridge as well… After he leaves, Meher gets up and eats everything... She's such a slob…. She makes so much mess with all her eating… Later that day, Preet came back and as soon as Meher saw Preet's car outside the house, she quickly throws all the food wrappers and garbage into the fridge... When Preet realized all this, he gets really mad at Meher… Preet tells Meher how she's putting on a great show and then he tells her to clean everything up…
Preet gives Meher some money to find a place to stay... When Meher asks what the money is for, and he says…PREET: Why? Because I feel sorry for you... You're poor right now, you need
the money…just take it..!
Meher starts to yell at Preet for being such a jerk, she throws the money back at Preet and leaves the house… He goes out after her though and finds her going no where waiting in the bus stop… So he picks her up, brings her back to his house and finally let Meher stay in the house as his housemaid…THE TERMS OF HER STAY IN THE HOUSE:-1. Cook every morning, around 5-6 Aloo ka Parathas and wash 'em down
with a tall glass of Lassi by 7 in the morning.
2. To pay particular attention to the cleaning since Preet is a neat freak.
3. She needs to stay in her room at all times and not to disturb him.
PREET: Well since its just housework, it won't be too complicated…
MEHER: You eat breakfast that early? You don't even leave for work then…
PREET: Why…?!
MEHER: Because then I have to be up at 6 AM ...! I don't wake up that early…
She makes puppy innocent face while saying all this, hoping Preet could be more sensible and not get too hard on her, but Preet couldn't care less and he goes on to says…PREET: And since I'm anal about neatness… Make sure everything is tidy...
I should also tell you that, I'm a very private person, living here
with you and all, might be uncomfortable… So that's y u should
stay put in your room while I'm around … This way we'll get along just
fine… Easy no? (He gives a wicked smile, can't wait even a sec to
torture, bully Meher)
She looked at Preet giving a clueless expression; Meher couldn't understand what was happening to her life right now… How can her kismat can be sowh bad n unfair with her … She try to comprehend the situation, trying to figure out why the hell she needs to work for that stuck-up loser Preet… Meher sighs and hesitantly nods her head showing sign of agreement…Flashback 3 :'Kissed n Proposal' Meher finds an invitation to Prem's new magazine launching... She figures there's going to be a lot of publicist there and so she decides to attend the party and hoping she could find a publisher for her internet story… But Preet disagreed by her thought of coming to the party together with him… Meher starts whining, saying that she promises to behave and all but Preet still refuses... Meher even assure Preet that, once they arrive at the party, they can go separate ways... Preet just ignores Meher, which makes meher so annoying w him… She calls him a " Hopeless Loser" and pushes the swing that he was sitting on, forcing him to fall… Meher took an advantage of the situation and took the ticket from the bookshelf without his knowing and she just ran off from there quickly...
At the party, Preet gives the copy of Meher's story to his manager without her knowledge... When he sees Meher at the party, he was surprised… He came up to her asks her how she got here and Meher says, "Well, I took the bus...!"
Preet just stares at her with disbelief, he never thought Meher could go this far… He tries to control his anger… She knows Preet is angry with her coming to this party, but she just ignores it… She has no mood to fight, so she just walked way from there to get some food… While enjoying herself eating her favourite cake, suddenly Meher drops a piece of chocolate cake on her dress… She decides to go back but then on her way back she bump into Prem and they get on a candid conversation about her stories… In a corner, Prem was laughing heartily at Meher's stories… They both seems to enjoying their self… On the other hand, when Heer noticed this, she came up to them and she asks Prem why he is acting this way… She continue asks him if he is testing her right now, to see how far she can go, how much she can take it… After so many questions, Heer finally confesses to Prem that she likes him... But Prem replies politely to her saying "I'm sorry that you were mistaken but I only thought and still think of you as my younger sister… Don't you know that Preet likes you a lot" Heer was shock after hearing all this…She couldn't believe that Preet has feelings for her… She always thought him as her best friends… Heer was very upset by Prem's confessions… So heer walks away and went to Preet to confronts him… (she called out his name in anger ) "Hey, Preet Juneja, do you like mee…?!! So you love me huh…?! If you do, then confess it to me here and right now…!!
Preet (confused), he was mortifying by heer's behavior that night, living him no options... He finally says "I really like you... (he pause, turns away, go near Meher…continue saying) "I like you… Meher Mann" and he grabs her by waist, pull her closer to him and kisses on her lips… While Heer and Prem stare on, all the cameras flashing behind and the media went crazy that night…
Next morning, Meher got up and as usual involved in the household chores , trying to divert her mind from the last nights incident at the party.…
Meanwhile, Preet in his bedroom was tossing and turning in the bed trying to get some sleep since he couldn't sleep all night, still thinking about the party incident… Later, he came to the dining room and quietly sat down and ate while Meher served him, avoiding looking at him… But after sometime, Meher decides to confront him about last night incident… Meher asks Preet angrily… MEHER : What were u thinking?!! How dare u kissed me?! I want u to make up for it…!!
PREET : What do u want me to do…?! You don't like it..!? Then give it back.. (he said with straight face)
Meher didn't expect such an answer frm Preet… which only made her even more furious….
MEHER : Hey… !!Listen you………uu
Before she could finish her sentence, Preet grabs her arm and he pushed her back against the wall, blocking her way from both sides by putting her back on the wall… He looks straight into meher's brown eyes… Their faces were close enough to feel each other breath… She caught his eyes staring at her lips and knowing his intentions made her heartbeats beating faster but then she quickly covers her lips with her both hands… Trying to protect from being kiss again by Preet… Preet moves his face closer and more closer to meher and slowly whispered in her ear..."Mujhse shaadi karogi…" Kya?!! Meher replies shockingly with her eyes wide open…She pushed him away and starts cursing him, babblings… Preet try to makes her listen to him for once, but Meher continue talking rubbish, he couldn't control his anger anymore, he shouted at Meher and asked her to Shut up and listen to him… PREET : I know u hate me right now as much as I hate u as well…. But…(he paused)
Only 6 months time, then we'll get divorced… My reputation will be
clear again and…You'll get your alimony and I promise you'll get
paid if u marry me…
At first Meher was reluctant, but when Preet promise her that he will gives her back the house, she finally agreed… After one week later, they got married at marriage registration office... It was a private affair, no one knows about it accept Abhi and Rhea, Meher's bestfriends and Preet's personal manager and after that they went off for a honeymoon…Flashback 4 :'Honeymoon aur Suhaag raat' Boat Scene:-They went to Mauritius and take a boat ride... As usual Preet and Meher starts bickering at each other again...MEHER: We've come all this way, and haven't went anywhere…How boring!
PREET : Whaaat?!
MEHER: If you're an adult, act like one, instead of being so childish…
PREET : Chi…Chii? (Furious, try to calm himself, then he grins wickedly.
starts with his mischievous act again)
Shall I show how much of a child I'm not?! ( he starts unbutton his
shirt one by one and coming closer to Meher)
MEHER: (shocked and panic) Hey, we're not really married! Don't forget the
contract…
Preet is walking towards her and Meher keeps walking back till she reaches the edge of the boat without realizing it, she falls down into water... Preet is amused, he couldn't stop laughing .... At the same time Meher keep shouting for help…At first Preet thought Meher was pretending but soon he realize it was for real….. So Preet jump off into water to saves her… After about a few minutes later, Meher regains conscious .... Preet gives an impatient sigh...PREET: What the Fcuk were you doing..?! You almost died.....
was confused by Preet's behavoiur... I'm the one who should be mad right now not him, she thoughts'.. Meher feel herself flush slightly red and her voice is rising in emotion.. MEHER: Maybe now you'll start treating everybody with respect... Not just the people you think are
important..
She break off, panting slightly, and there's a bemused silence... Scene shifted to Honeymoon Suit Scene:-(cont. next page)
