Reserved for Part 6 Prem hurried to Heer's interview place. He knew that she hated him right now and that he had committed the biggest sin possible, but he loved her with all his heart. He arrived at the bureau and found heer sitting in the waiting area. He called out to her and she was startled. Heer took prem outside the building and yelled at him <"What are you doing here?"
"heer, I have been looking for you everywhere. I know what i did was wrong- especially after not trusting you. You have every right to hate me but why are you punishing yourself too? heer - you can give me whatever punishment you want but please don't leave that house. i don't remember anything that happened that night- do you think I would do any of that consciously? I promise i will never touch another drink again. Heer - I love you and you are my reason to live. i will wait for you all my life if I have too." After saying all that Prem left a puzzled Heer. Heer then went back inside for her interview.
Back at his office, Preet tried to think of a way he could spend time with meher without harman, prem, or bauji seeing them together. he needed to work and if any of the family members found out- they would question him on what he was doing. The only person he would tell was gayathri. Ma could help him think of a plan. And sure enough she did. When preet told her that he had met with meher and told her how he and meher were trying to get premeer back together, and the work issue- gayathri though of a brilliant plan. She told Preet to permanently move into the new hotel until all the garden estates were finished. She told him that bauji wouldnt object since he knew how hard preet had been working on this project. Preet could manage all of his new work from there. Preet kissed his mother on both cheeks and told her she was the world's best mother.
Preet called meher to tell her. Meher was as excited as preet when preet told her that they could meet. Preet told her to meet him at 9 am sharp for her new job. Meher laughed and told him "yes sir" Before hanging up preet said "I love you" and both of them were startled. preet couldnt believe he had just said that and neither could meher. Meher smugly replied, however, saying " don't you think that is a little inappropriate for a boss to be telling his assistant?" Now preet laughed and said"Fine If you want to play like this then I will show you tomorrow." Just then,Meher heard heer come in and she quickly hung up the phone with out saying bye. Heer looked devastated.
Meher rushed to heer and brought her to the sofa. "what is wrong didi, are you okay? Do I need to call the doctor. Heer wanted to tell meher about her encounter with prem, but didn't want to worry her more. heer did however tell meher that she did not get the job. Meher was releived that it had nothing to do with heer's health or the baby.
"didi, that's okay because i got a well paying job as an assistant at a law firm- I will make enough money to handle the house and for you to have a good and safe pregnancy. All you have to do is take care of yourself and my niece or nephew!
Heer looked at meher and her eyes watered. Meher had grown up so much from the girl who love mitai and bollywood films. She was so mature but she still had her bubly touch. Her parents would have been so proud. Heer hugged meher tightly and told her so,"Meher, if ma and bauji were here today, they would be so proud of you!"
Meher wiped away heer's tears and said,"Didi -everything I do is because of you- you have taught me everything and i love you! Now go and change- I made yor favorites for dinner to celebrate!
