Why is Prachi happy in the new household? Because Milsi told her that when she cries his heart beat stops. So in the interest of making his heart beat stronger, she is pranching and dancing with monsoon mosquito.
Why did she think Milsi got on with his life with Malli? Because she had asked him to, before she left him in the lurch. As mam's wish should be his command, she has presumed he has implicitly obeyed her dictate and gotten on with his life.
So you see Prachi has not forgotten Michi love which according to her seems to be to selectively follow what their beloved had asked them to do. Only we have not understood it.
