As for Katha....lol irony dies a 1000 deaths watching her daily. The way she accuses Viaan of imagining violins and strong winds when she's the one feeling BOOM BOOM heartbearts randomly whenever he talks to her.....lol what a raging liar and hypocrite she is right now😆....it would be more fun to watch if someone LIVING was aware of this DHAK DHAK zone she goes in....lol bataya bhi toh sirf Adi ko....kisi actual insaan ko pata ho who can call out her BS ki she is blasting Viaan when she herself is the one imagining grand romantic things.....lol Viaan's love toh doesn't move beyond slow motion staring only😆....isse aage ki imagination hi nahin Viaan ke paas so far. Katha supposedly is the romantic gestures expert thanks to her previous experience but phir bhi bill saara Viaan pe phaad rahi hai😆

Viaan has become the best part of the story right now and yes, he is definitely the main draw for me to watch the show at this time too. Adnan is doing a fabulous job. Aditi is very good too but unfortunately the writing for her character is stagnant.....Viaan is better written at this point and Adnan is acing every shade of him.

Bold...haha...Totally...its like the kettle calling the pot black! That poor boy is stuck in the staring zone while Katha's involuntary reactions to him are all over the place 🤣!! But I would not call it hypocrisy on her part...its more about denial and fear of the unknown. And what does one do when pushed to a corner...go on the offensive. She is doing exactly that with Viaan.

So yes, for someone shown as very clued in, sensible and mature she is completely at sea as far as handling her budding emotions for Viaan is concerned. Her overreaction to simple things he says or does proves that. She has buried her feelings very deep inside and is quite scared of exploring what is going on. Actually it would be good to see her lashing out at Viaan over the Aarav issue, hurting his feelings deeply so he pulls back from the kid...because she does seems to be heading for a breakdown any day now! Let her not be the always right Katha...let her make her mistakes and then evolve to make amends. Let's see how they play this out...

Lol how exactly is it not hypocrisy? 😕😆….one can’t be a hypocrite in denial? Says who? 😆….she is absolutely a hypocrite and using Viaan as a punching bag to run away from her truth. What is there to sympathize with her suppression of her feelings right now when she is acting so entitled and arrogant with everyone who tries to talk to her logically 🤷‍♀️. Lol I would sympathize with her if she was struggling with what she feels. But she projects arrogance and a know it all attitude which no one in the story counters.

As for her breakdown, lol you really think that will happen? She will lash out at Viaan and justify it to herself as the “greater good”. A Katha actually regretting anything she says and does? lol that will be the day 🙄😂

The part I don’t get is why ITV has now normalized showing women as insensitive in denial. All the maturity in the world goes for a toss when you can’t face your truth and then you use your previous “mature” reputation to run down anyone who dares to show you the mirror. Lol they really want us to believe that women are incapable of processing their emotions without feeling smug about putting down someone? 🤷‍♀️

ITV FLs are always mahaan aatmaas who can do no wrong and give 10 page lectures to anyone who is ready to listen, carry a permanent chip on their shoulder, can do no wrong! The TRP crowd loves them like tgat I guess. I don’t watch much ITV and rarely go beyond the first 4-5 months. Expecting Katha’s character to be shown vulnerable in love and expressing her feelings willingly without being pushed by circumstances/everyone around will pbbly not be more acceptable to the regular ITV audience🤔!

You know, like you mentioned in an earlier post had the objection from her end been more because of the ONS it would have made much more sense. Anyway am keeping an open mind for now😊

@bold: Honestly, my issue is not that I'm expecting Katha to express or accept her feelings willingly without a push....my issue is with the total lack of self-awareness and self-reflection. It just stands out even more notably given how much Viaan is all about constant self-reflection and thoughtfulness right now. I refuse to accept this narrative that a woman is incapable of self-reflection in her denial....and self-reflection doesn't mean you can instantly see things clearly and accept all truths....self-reflection means you have to be capable of reflecting on your actions/behavior to some extent atleast. But how is Katha being shown right now? She just goes around giving exasperated and frustrated looks to anyone who doesn't agree with her approach to something.....how is that a likeable person then? She comes across as a robot and then she is even more irritating when she lies effortlessly. There is not even a second's hesitation or a fumble in lying....that's the weird part. Like why has effortless lying also been normalized so much on ITV? LOL as if being a smooth liar is something to admire in someone😕😆. Not saying that Viaan also hasn't told a few lies here or there but he has always been shown to struggle or fumble with those....itna easily lie karna makes your conscience look dead. Wonder why ITV writers can't even manage that much these days.

In the past also ITV FLs were glorified in the days of Tulsis, Parvatis and Prernas.....but atleast the setup used to be CLEAR....the people they were lecturing to DESERVED those lectures because the moral stance of the FL was clear....these days the FL herself is shown so morally ambiguous but is still going around giving righteous lectures to people....how are we expected to connect with that then?😕

Agree! The total lack of self reflection from Katha makes her into a cardboard character sometimes. That is why despite this being more a female centric story to begin with, has more viewers rooting for the male protagonist currently. Because we don't really know what is going on inside the FL's head. The only time we did get a peek into Katha's inner turmoil and thoughts was her recent hallucination of Adi. And perhaps that one little scene during the Shamita case when she is questioning who the real VR is. But ITV likes to keep their FLs mostly a clueless enigma so that the viewers are left equally clueless😆!

I think I mentioned watching BALH 2 for a few months...in the beginning Priya's character was shown with such sensitivity, a very self reflective girl, baring her insecurities and her trauma due to an emotionally abusive father who cheated on his wife. In fact she reminded me a lot of Kashaf and her journaling (from Zindagi Gulzaar hai, PTV), a character I really loved. But then within a couple of months Priya stopped reflecting and giving a peak into her inner world and became the typical enigmatic EK heroine who did mahaan, irrational things to save the ML and his stepfamily and the drama which started with such promise went down the drain. I will give it to PTV, they often have such self-reflective characters, both ML and FL who manage to reel you into their inner world and you can find a bit of yourself in so many of them. That makes for a great viewing experience.

From today's episode and the precap we can see that Katha is again going to go on the offensive and lash out at Viaan. I totally get her insecurities about her little boy, who seems to have become too attached to the one man she is trying to keep out of her life. But her default setting seems to be to make Viaan her favourite punching bag and berate him without much thought. There is a complete imbalance in their equation right now just because the man has bared his soul and loves and respects her too much. And that is why I am not able to connect with her much these days. I could so get her before, during and after the ONS. I loved when she showed Viaan the mirror and called him out when he was desperately seeking her forgiveness simply to assuage his own guilt. The makers really need to shake her character up a bit now.

@bold: LOL yes, makers are going the very predictable route with Katha at this point....there is nothing surprising about her behavior anymore because she usually chooses the petty/suspicious route with Viaan these days.

This has nothing to do with her insecurities about Aarav....everything is just a shield for her to use as an excuse to push Viaan away. The way she was interrogating everyone about Viaan today showed that her main motive was about fishing out info on whether Viaan is deliberately cultivating friendships with Aarav and Dodo to get close to Katha. And you know this would have maybe worked if this wasn't the same Katha that went out of her way to prove Viaan's integrity in the Shamita case.....now the same Katha can't afford him even one shred of integrity.....it is the inconsistency that adds to the disconnect with the character.

Looks like the writers only planned out Katha's character until the Lonavla trip....that Katha still had basic integrity and conviction as a character, that is why she was admirable to watch with how she handled the ONS and the aftermath right through Viaan's guilt/realization/apology phase. The current Katha has nothing....her convictions have all gone poof with how easily she lies and derides a person who is being nice to her.

LOL if Katha is SO pressed about Viaan's feelings for her, the simplest solution is to leave this job. Why is she hanging around any environment which includes him? He's not exactly encroaching her personal space but still she is going around huffing and puffing like he's stealing her life from her.....if she really feels that badly, she is most welcome to find another job....lol but woh bhi nahin karna.....she will behave like this is the only job that exists in the world and she has to hang around here and keep whining about Viaan supposedly troubling her. What a joke she's become. Btw this was the same day in the show's timeline that Viaan brought that original print for her in the office....didn't even see a thank you from her for that but by the end of the day, she was as usual pompously deriding him that kabhi usko apne haath ki chai bhi nahin pilaayegi.....lol and this is the "mature/sorted/helpful" woman we are supposed to admire as per the narrative of the show😆. Oh yes, we are supposed to believe that all her petty comments are hiding a "deeeep love" behind them and whenever she DEIGNS to accept her feelings for her Viaan, all this pettiness will be washed away in the blink of an eye😆.....makers have no regard for the journey of the characters towards each other.

Anyways, I guess this is baked into the story now so we have to live with it....lol unlike Katha, faltu mein kud kud karte rehne ka shauk humein nahin hai😆

Re: BALH2....lol yeah I gathered as much in the 2 weeks I watched that they put together some combination of sasti Kashaf and the original Priya from BALH1.....lol wasn't enough for me to watch a sad copy/paste of season 1 so I chucked it pretty early. Atleast Katha was more original as a character for the ITV space rather than a lazy copy to begin with.....lol

Bold…Exactly..,Haha…I made the same observation in a post elsewhere! She did not even thank him properly for that wonderful gift and by end of day he was persona non grata & under the scanner once again! And you are bang on…the inconsistency of her feelings for Viaan or faith in his integrity takes away from the experience. But like you said it will all be forgotten in the blink of an eye…and we can crib and complain all we want😆! So for now we just watch poor Viaan getting blasted for the hundredth time by Katha

LOL yes, the patterns on ITV are such. Firstly, the FL's obnoxious and hurtful behavior will never be acknowledged or called out. The ML's past mistakes will always be held against him as justification and free license for the FL to continue to be hurtful in the present. When they want to move on from a track where the FL is being mean and hurtful, they will show the ML making some big mistake so that everyone is diverted into talking about that and totally forget what all the FL has done to lead the situation to this point. ITV runs on short term memory and zero regard for any intelligence from the audience.

Anyways yeah, ab toh aadat si hai is Katha ki....gotta lump it up as part of the story and wait for the "magical resolution"😆. Hopefully we will get some nice convos along the way if nothing else😆

I was never a Katha fan but now i consider the tulsis, parvatis and prernas better than her

There is a huge gap between her words and actions

Why do people say Viaan is not giving her space ,she herself claims he is giving her space, she herself started enquiring about viaan then made a constipated face in front of DoDo

She called Viaan especially since she wanted to discuss things with him (not professional )

Then made a sada hua face and behaved as if Viaan is thinking wrong that she wanted to talk about something other than work ,is she Jenny who called to confirm appointments 🤣

Sorry i don't think anyone can suffocate her , i dont feel her pain

Rather an advice for Viaan you already have a Tejji in ur house
