I guess most of us are relieved by Viaan’s holding back yet holding firm approach seen in yesterday’s episode.

Thanks, Bana :)

Viaan's approach has been like this since a few episodes actually.....he handled Katha well even in that watch convo when she was trying to give him gyaan about dreams fading with time and reality taking over. Just that today's episode gave him a chance to directly tell her that respect goes both ways....he is respecting her decision so his decision should be respected too.

Viaan is soft-hearted and especially so over Katha now but he is not a pushover....he doesn't change his decisions simply over people pressurizing him and he's also headstrong about what he believes in. Katha seems to be hoping that simply lecturing him about moving on will make him let go of his stance.....lol she is yet to realize that he is just as stubborn as her and won't change his stance on this.

Looks like people in this forum has high EQ. All of you are so good in describing emotions so well.

I like the new Viaan and it's very difficult not to like him with so much expressive eyes and the way he talked to all 3 ladies.

Some people have complained about Katha lectures. It's is totally opposite of Viaan and one would feel that she is becoming boring with lectures. However if you look from her point of view, she is trying her best to resist attraction as well as proving Viaan's mom wrong and making sure she does not bring a wrong person in life where 3 families (Viaan, her in-laws, and her own nest with son). She behaving exactly one would in her position and experiences she had. We may not like the way comparing to Viaan but as a human being we all behave differently according to circumstances. Other people might see imperfect behavior but hardly one knows the whole gambit of emotions behind that behavior.

If that is really Katha's intent, the easiest way to "resist attraction" would be to completely IGNORE Viaan rather than going around giving LECTURES to him. He is not badgering her to develop feelings for him or accept his proposal....but she is acting like she is entitled to lecture him about what to do in his life. If she is so confident about what matters in her life, better she focuses on herself rather than preaching to others. There really isn't anything to admire about someone who goes around forcibly preaching to others....obviously Viaan's approach will be liked better because he is being more respectful and honest right now. Katha is lying to herself and on top of that giving lectures to Viaan about what he should do with his life. No one likes people imposing on them....Viaan has not imposed his love on Katha, so the least she can do is not impose her lectures on him.

Pointing out Katha's flaws/mistakes doesn't mean I can't understand what her INTENT behind her actions is. Still doesn't make her actions right or admirable.

Thanks for the post AY, honestly such beautiful writing and wonderful execution by Adnan....this guy has truly absorbed Viaan's character and is living it so beautifully....

In all 3 interactions, Viaan has displayed so many amazing qualities...he showed self assurance, respect, honesty, dignity, empathy, poise, sincereity, at the same time assertive....its amazing how he has the most apt responses given out in the most calm and peaceful manner....EQ king to yeh hain....totally self aware and in control of himself and effortlessly managing all his relationships....

sarva gun sampan hai yeh toh...😆Kaatha madam ki badi khuli anakhen kyun nahin dekh pa rahi....😆or should i say denial mode se bahar nahin nikal pa rahin....

Honestly I feel disappointed to see a redundant characterisation of Katha...the difference is so glaringly visible now...Her character growth has been put on snooze mode and I hope to see some evolution much sooner....

@bold: Word👏....It really is a marvel to watch him these days....not that he wasn't juggling different things in his life before also....but the real test comes when you have to juggle relationships with new situations that challenge you....so it really is amazing to watch Viaan juggling everything while still being able to maintain his honesty, dignity and empathy with each person he talks to...always being respectful to the person in front of him no matter how much THEY try to dismiss him or disrespect him. Why won't one grow to feel even more admiration for such a character then? Male or female, these are really rare traits on ITV for any character to manage.....lol

When I see scenes like this "Ek step aapne liya" wala convo, it reminds me why I got hooked to the show....the writers are capable of writing a scene that nuanced with giving perspectives from both sides and it makes for something compelling to watch......but they lose their momentum from time to time with the drag and disjointedness. Yesterday was a return to solid writing so I really felt like appreciating it.

Katha madam ki badi khuli aakhein are an irony device in the narrative now😆....the more she widens them at Viaan, the deeper her denial and cluelessness sets in😆. Not sure when evolution will happen for her....coming up seems to be more of her directing prejudice and suspicion at Viaan.

*Edit: The sarvagun sampann line made me think....lol you know it would have been more realistic if they had made Katha hold on to her grudge against him over the ONS rather than giving these silly excuses of how she doesn't feel anything....lol atleast that would be more believable that no matter how nice he is as a person, she is still not able to fully get over the baggage of the mistake he made with the ONS offer and that's making her hold back from him no matter how much of a gem he is otherwise.

Tell me about it....That would have been so much more relevant and justified...

In fact, I really appreciated Viaan bringing it up as a possible cause of resistance soon after his confession....which Katha rejected as if that ONS was too trivial or never a cause of concern....brushed off too easily...

Surely nothing wrong with her thinking that she can live her life with Adi's memories and Aarav...But the repititiveness in her responses is borderline irritating now.....wish they showed some variety there....

Waise I am missing goofy side of Viaan, he is completely in a zen state now..

LOL I think his goofy side will keep popping up on and off since Katha will continue to keep him living in fear of whether he is "crossing the line"😆.....something similar to the incident when he panicked so much over the power cut in the office and Katha coming close to him even to show him something on his laptop😆

But man, how refreshing it is to see a guy so blissfully happy and cheerful even when Katha is going out of her way to be rude to him😆.....today also she was extra mean to him simply cuz he said he got an intuition that she was at the sports club...she then started mocking him ki hawaayein chal rahi thi and violins baj rahe the kya? LOL and still Viaan didn't take offense and simply smiled in response....

Baaki yes, I agree with you that it gets repetitive to hear her one note denials about "meri life mein sirf Adi ki memories and Aarav hai".....I guess they will now bring in "variety" by showing her suspecting Viaan of using Aarav to get to her.....lol based on her reaction to learning about Robin's identity today and her behavior in the precap, it does look like she has found a new accusation to throw at Viaan and will now try to blast him over that.

Katha is indeed an amazing woman whose only concern today was that she wouldn't know what to talk about with Robin.....not even a passing thought that she should atleast KNOW who her kid is meeting DAILY at the club and is so obsessed with.....lol waah amazing mom she is😆

Re: ONS....yeah ofcourse they had to brush it off casually cuz this is ultimately ITV....lol here it is more acceptable to show a widow clinging to her late husband's memories than show a woman having emotional baggage over an ONS.....we are expected to believe that it was easier for Katha to let go of an ONS than it is to accept that she can have feelings for anyone other than her late husband....lol

Viaan is truly one of a kind...can't remember the last time I saw a male protagonist expressing his love in the unique ways he does it. He was absolutely adorable in that scene...ecstatic, thrilled to bits & filled with such childlike wonderment that he could sense Katha's presence...that he was intuitively connected to her. Her dressing down and dismissal did not faze him one bit...that smile in the end 😆!!

And poor Katha...she just can't get a break from Viaan's all encompassing feelings engulfing her in ways known and unknown😆! First the man made her speechless by requesting her to respect his boundaries, then he bowled her over by gifting the original dream design to her proving to her that making her dreams his own and helping her fulfil them is his life's mission, and finally he turns up to be her son's special friend who loves him to bits. There is no escaping and hiding from Mr. R😆! No wonder she was jumping down his throat...I found her responses to him so hilarious😆!! Its high time Katha's journey of evolution starts ...we need progression from that wide eyed exasperated look now🤣!

I sure hope she does her investigation thoroughly to ascertain that this was not an elaborate scheme concocted by Viaan, but just serendipity by 'Babaji' before going all guns blazing at the poor man😆!

I have to say Adnan as Viaan is just phenomenal...he is a treat to watch in all the shades of Viaan ! Though Aditi is a great actress and deserves all the appreciation, but for me Adnan's Viaan has become the main draw!!

@bold: Wohi toh....I've never seen someone so content in basking in the wonderment of their emotions...nothing fazes him aage se because it's like he's just so thankful for the pure joy he's feeling.

As for Katha....lol irony dies a 1000 deaths watching her daily. The way she accuses Viaan of imagining violins and strong winds when she's the one feeling BOOM BOOM heartbearts randomly whenever he talks to her.....lol what a raging liar and hypocrite she is right now😆....it would be more fun to watch if someone LIVING was aware of this DHAK DHAK zone she goes in....lol bataya bhi toh sirf Adi ko....kisi actual insaan ko pata ho who can call out her BS ki she is blasting Viaan when she herself is the one imagining grand romantic things.....lol Viaan's love toh doesn't move beyond slow motion staring only😆....isse aage ki imagination hi nahin Viaan ke paas so far. Katha supposedly is the romantic gestures expert thanks to her previous experience but phir bhi bill saara Viaan pe phaad rahi hai😆

Viaan has become the best part of the story right now and yes, he is definitely the main draw for me to watch the show at this time too. Adnan is doing a fabulous job. Aditi is very good too but unfortunately the writing for her character is stagnant.....Viaan is better written at this point and Adnan is acing every shade of him.
