Busy parents who had no time to monitor what their kids were upto or......into! ...it is so true lol cuz nowadays both the parent go for job to have comfortable life..👏 I feel both the parents and the kids are at fault, maybe parents more so! I liked how you told me us where Devika's fustration was stemming from.. yeah the rise of teen preg. and the basic fabric of the family values is truly tearing apart.. its soo sad to see... I have always felt that it is this young age in which a person's character is built and so it is very important that the teenage years be very productively spent! i hate when i see younge kids swearing and smoking and wearing their pants half way down their butt.. makes me sick...🤢 anyway devika's reaction has been well understood.. Same here Robina and so I can understand Devika's point of view too!

Robbie oh my god, even i was afraid for kasturi, the guy was so torn btw devika and kasturi.. i felt bad for kasturi though, she really didnt know what to do to either how to handle such a distraught devika and anand at the sametime and Robbie witnessed her at the climax..what a shame.. baaaddd timing robbie...uff such bad timing!! And Robbie cannot be blamed entirely either because he knows his aunt much more and for much longer than Kasturi! He really cannot help but lean towards his aunt!

I really felt a void growing btw both robbie and kasturi and it saddened me deeply, i will look forward to how these two are able to fill that void again, and move on.. The next part will be dedicated for that! but sometime we are able to forgive but not forget, i wonder if that will be the case here as well? Yes, but hopefully this is not such a situation for them! I will try to keep it as realistic as possible and hopefully you will like the reconciliation too!

I loved devika in this she forgave anand cause of kasturi, and the cold treatment she gave kasturi was very normal under the circumstances... I think so too! At this point she is too preoccupied. But when she gets a minute, she will think through! I promise! okay i'm dying to see what happens next Pragzs... please do continue soon, I will! I am writing it out right now! 😊 and man you had said the meeting between robbie's family and kasturi would be huge fireworks, and you surpassed my imagination.. it was the 4th of July type fireworks...mega hot... brilliant part prazs.. I loved Devika's reaction, and her curt reply to Kas, esp. the "strangers' favors" part.....that one had me feeling so bad for Kas. I also loved Robbie, though I'm mad at him for being so hurtful towards Kas. Devika was just very upset! And Robbie was upset because she was upset! And now Kasturi is angry at Robbie!

I really felt for Kas, because even though its not her fault, this accident might cost her her love! Hope not! I'm sure you won't do that! But still, it made them misunderstand each other, which I hated. Yes, definitely a misunderstanding has cropped up between them which opefully they will resolve soon!

All in all, I loved the part. Very natural, I could imagine it. I am hating Anand more and more, spineless like I said. But I hope RoKa resolve the conflict soon, and that Puru is OK! Yes, I have the same hope 😆 You will know now because I am just about to post 2 parts!

I also felt for Robbie, being torn b/w his love and his family....so sad! But he called Devika his MOM! Yippppeeee! I thought I missed that in the last part, but he did! That was great, even though Devi didn't realise it....she will soon I hope! Exactly, Devika did not realize it yet! She will in the next part! And Robbie is definitely torn inbetween the two! Poor guy, I feel for him!

I think it was nice of Devi to forgive Anand and all, but I still feel he should go to jail for his crime. Poor Anand is also in a sad condition! He exactly did not mean for this to happen, which is why it is an accident!

Anyways, continue soon, and make the ahppy romantic days come back! I will try! 😀 Thank you for the wonderful comments!

Re-cap : Robbie comes to know that Anand and Kasturi had hit his uncle and aunt. Puru is diagnosed with a hairline fracture to his spine. Robbie is furious with Kasturi. They both have a spat about it. Robbie refuses to believe Kasturi's allegations against his aunt! An angry Kasturi walks off!

Robbie stares after a leaving Kasturi and then slowly turns and walks towards his uncle's room.

It is a very emotional meeting with a hurt and bruised Puru! Devika is so thankful to God that she got her husband back, whatever shape he might be in!! 😭 Robbie calls Leela auntie and her husband Alok, (I had introduced Leela Rastogi as Devika's friend in chapter 3) who were Devika and Puru's closest friends, and conveys them the news. A shocked Leela and Alok rush to the hospital!!! After checking up on Puru and assuring themselves that as of now he is in a stable state, Devika and Robbie decide to go home to share this sad news with the girls and handle them. Leela and Alok offer to stay back to give company to Puru till Devika returns. As Devika and Robbie reach Robbie's parked bike, he suddenly hears Devika sniffling. 😭 😭 He quickly turns to his aunt in concern and asks........"Kya hua chachi?"

It had just now hit home to Devika that Robbie had called her 'Maa'!!! She had wished and waited for this moment for such a long time and when it came, it came at a moment when her heart was grieving and worrying!! 😭 She turns to Robbie and says
Devika : Tumhe pataa hai mujhe kitnaa armaan tha ke tum mujhe maa kehke bulao??
Robbie simply stares at her.
Devika continues : Jab tumhaare chachaji tumhe US seh waapas laaye, toh meine tumhe apne dil seh apnaayaa! Uss din seh meine tumhe apnaa hi betaa samjha!! Har raat jab tum darr seh kaanp uthte the, toh mei tumhe meraa hi khoon maankar, saari raat jaagkar tumhe samhaalti thi! Har saal jab tumhaare maa-bauji ki barsi peh tumhe bukhaar chadhta tha, mei tumhe apne dil ka tukdaa samajhkar tumhaari dekhbhaal karti thi! 😭 Jab tum der seh ghar lautkar aate toh ek boond paani mere gale she nahi utartaa tha, iss chinta mei ke kahin tumhe kuch hua na ho! Aur jab uss Diwaali meh........ tum apnaa haath jalaa baithe, toh aag mere dil ko lagi thi!! 😭

Devika continues : Aur aaj jab tum neh maa kehke mujhe pukaara, tab mujhe ehsaas hua ke meri mamtaa kitni selfish thi!! Mujhe inn sabke badle mei kuch chahiye tha tum seh......mei chahti thi ki tum bhi mujhe apni maa samjho!! 😭 😭 Mujhe woh hak doh jo sirf ek maa ko apne bacche peh hotaa hai! 😭 Mere laalach neh mujhe andhaa kar diyaa tha.....mei bhool gayi thi ki ek maa ki jagah koi nahi le sakti...... 😭 😭
"Le sakti hai chachi, zaroor le sakti hai!!".............interrupts an emotional Robbie........😭 "Ek maa ki jagah ek aur maa le sakti hai!!.....Aur aap lwoh jagah e bhi chuki hai!!!"

In a short while they reach home. They share the accident news with a shocked Alaana, Shivani and Divya! The girls are distraught with fear and concern for their dad!! 😭 😭 They all get ready and again go to the hospital to meet Puru. While they are meeting with Puru, Robbie goes to the accident spot and gets the totalled scooter towed home and then goes back to the hospital. The Doctors had advised that Puru remain in the hospital for 2-3 weeks. Devika and Divya decide to stay back with Puru that night while Robbie, Alaana and Shivani go back home.

Meanwhile, after a shaken Anand had dropped her off at her home, Kasturi had rushed to her room. Her parents and brother were not home and Kasturi thanks God for these small mercies!! She was too upset right now and did not want to meet anybody! She reaches her room and flings her bag away!!! She crashes on her bed and closes her eyes. She was exhausted, angry, hurt and confused! 😭 How could he be so cold to her? How could he cut her off like that??? She does not get answers for any of her questions! She lies there long, struggling with her emotions and confusions. 😭 😭 Eventhough she was upset and angry with him, she was still waiting for his call!!! The fact that she was still waiting for his call, upsets Kasturi even more!!! Her heart was not listening to her mind!!

Soon, it is evening. Everyone comes home and Kasturi has no choice but to get out of her shell and meet them, faking happiness. Gia too comes down to meet her. Soon the evening winds down and Kasturi retires for the night. But sleep???? Sleep was miles and miles away!!! After waiting for Robbie's call for 10 hours, unable to bear the torture, she finally taken 4 sleeping pills to force herself to sleep so that it would calm her wrecked nerves and sooth her troubled heart!!

Its past midnight when finally Robbie releases the lock he has placed on his mind and lets Kasturi's thoughts flood his mind. He finally had the time to turn his attention to Kasturi. He wanted to talk to her badly but......he did not want to call her!! One thing he most definitely wanted was...........the air to be cleared between his aunt and Kasturi! It was very important for both him and Kasturi, that Devika warm up to Kasturi! He could not afford for his mother to be angry and upset with Kasturi even before he could tell her what Kasturi meant to him!!! He did not want to loose either of them......both of them were important to him! But, he is ultra exhausted because of the busy day he had had and so pushes off the decision making to the next day.

The next morning, it is a little late by the time Kasturi wakes up, refreshed and bright! 😜 It was another day and she was ready to forgive and forget! The first thing she does is, reach for her cellphone. There were no missed calls or messages from him!! And thus the day starts off very dejectedly for her! 😭

That day, while Puru's waist is being cast, complications arise!! Puru complains of severe back pain! Upon further examination, the doctors determine that he is suffering from a cervical herniated disc, commonly known as slipped disc!! Apparently the impact of the injury and his age had caused this repercussion, which had slowly revealed itself the next morning! Unluckily for him, the herniated disc is in the lumbar area, very close to his spinal cord injury!! The doctors struggle to take a decision as he first needed to be treated for the slipped disc before his waist can be cast up!!! And so the doctors come up with an idea of a special shape of cast which does not cover his entire waist but covers only the area of his fracture, leaving the slipped disc area open for treatment! Only problem with this was that Puru had to be extra careful and his movements would be completely restricted till his disc problem is alleviated and that part of his waist can be cast too!!

It is a couple of days before all these issues can be resolved and during this time Puru struggles with severe pain!!! And the rest of the Sabharwals also suffer, unable to see the head of the house suffer so! 😭 😭 😭 But finally, things are settled and the family is out of that tension!! During this two days, Robbie was not in a position to think of anybody or anything except his family! Everyone in his family depended on him for support. His uncle and aunt were the 2 pillars that supported the entire family. But now suddenly he had to take the place of both his aunt and uncle!!!
But these couple of days give Robbie the time to think through his Kasturi problems! He feels the only way out of this sticky situation would be for Kasturi to apologize to his chachi which would help for both of them to patch up. And then Robbie could slowly work on his chachi to smoothen out any wrinkles between her and Kasturi.

It is Thursday by the time Robbie gets to call Kasturi. All the children were taking turns to spend the night with Puru along with Devika and today was his turn. After dinner while Devika and Puru are conversing, Robbie slips out and calls Kasturi. He calls her 5 times. There is no answer from Kasturi! He realizes that Kasturi is very angry and was ignoring his calls!! But, he keeps trying!! On the 11th try, a livid and ultra upset Kasturi finally answers his call!! She was mad with anger that he had ignored her for 3 whole days and was now calling her, expecting her to pick up when she did not want to! She answers as coldly as possible
Kasturi : Kya hai Robbie? Kyun pareshan kar rahe ho?
Robbie asks : Tum phone kyun nahi utha rahi thi?
Kasturi replies : I was busy!
Robbie knows that is a lie but lets it be.
Robbie asks : Kaisi ho?
Kasturi answers angrily: Ekdum maze mei!
Robbie says evenly : That's good, atleast someone is having fun! Mei soch rahaa tha, bechaari tum mere phone kaa intezaar kar rahi hogi.........
Kasturi is wild! Yes, she was desperately waiting for his phone call but she was not ready to accept it and more specifically she did not want him to know she was waiting and so interrupts him furiously
Kasturi : INTEZAAR?? After the way you treated me, tumhe lagtaa hai mei tumhaare phone kaa intezaar karungi???
Robbie : How did I exactly "treat" you, Kasturi?? Did'nt I tell you that I will not be able to talk to you for a while? Did'nt I tell you I will call the moment I get a chance? Which is exactly what I am doing right now!
Kasturi : Three and a half days, Robbie!! That's 3.5*24......You did not get time to call me for 80 hours???
Robbie says : Yes! I did not get a chance till now! Aur agar tum mei mere chachaji ki tabiyat ke baare mei poochne ki tameez hoti, toh mei bataata......mujhe kyun abhi tak time nahi milaa!
Kasturi feels bad! She had meant to ask him about his uncle when he called! But over the period of time, her anger and frustration had increased so much that by the time he called her she was boiling and in that fury had completely forgotten to ask him about his uncle!!

Kasturi asks him guiltily : Kaise hai woh?
Robbie replies : Tuesday afternoon kuch complications arise hue the, lekin abhi woh set ho gaye hai...........
He explains all that happened. Slowly Kasturi calms down a little.
She says : Mei poochna chah rahi thi unke baare mei! Magar ghusse mei.........
She lets it trail off.
Robbie replies : Mei jaanta hun tumhe bahut buraa lag rahaa hai, magar mere haath bhi bandhe hue the! I could not call you..........
Kasturi interrupts : Baat sirf call naa karne ki nahi hai Robbie! The way you yelled at me that day!! You never bothered to believe my side of the story ! Your mom was also at mistake..........
"Kasturi!"...........interrupts Robbie............."Mei apni maa ke baare mei kuch nahi sunanaa chahtaa, please! We have been through this before! Mei unko tumseh kahin zyaada jaanta hun! Woh kabhi aisaa kuch nahi kar sakti, jis seh doosron ko nuksaan pahunche! Tumhe zaroor koi galat-fehmi hui hogi! You have misunderstood her.............
Kasturi is frustrated and says : Jab tumhe meri baat peh vishwaas hi nahi, toh I don't see any point in talking anymore!!! Aur mei samajh rahi thi, you loved me........
Robbie interrupts her : Of course I do! Tum kahaan ki baat kahaan le jaa rahi ho?? Hum dono mei thoda jhagdaa kya ho gayaa.....iskaa matlab yeh thode hi hai ke mei tumseh pyaar nahi kartaa!!
Kasturi : Mei jhagde ki baat nahi kar rahi hun.......mei vishwaas ki baat kar rahi hun! Jahaan pyaar hotaa hai, wahaan vishwaas bhi hotaa hai!!!
Robbie : Kasturi, vishwaas build hone ke liye time lagtaa hai...ek hi din mei nahi ho jaata! Barson seh apni maa ko dekh rahaa hun aur isi kaaran mujhe poora vishwaas hai ke meri maa itni buri nahi hai!! But us........we have just started to know each other! ...... Aur tum jaanti ho mei thoda waqt letaa hun! Did'nt you see how difficult it was for me to tell you that I loved you too?? But the fact of the matter is, I do........I love you very very much! Aur isiliye mei chahtaa hun ke tum meh aur meri maa meh jo an-ban ho gayi hai, woh jald seh jald theek ho jaaye!
Kasturi does not answer. His telling her that he loved her very much is soothing her anger and hurt.🥰
Robbie continues : Mei jo abhi keh rahaa hun........woh shaayad tumhe buraa lage! But I think this is in our best interest.......I think you should apologize to my mother............
"WHAT????".............shoots off Kasturi
Robbie knew that was going to be her reaction! But he persists.
Robbie : Haan.......agar tum maa ko sorry keh dogi..........
"NEVER!"............hisses Kasturi
Robbie : Dekho Kasturi, tum sorry bolne seh choti nahi ho jaogi..........
Kasturi says from between her teeth : Yeh, chote yaa bade hone ki baat nahi hai!!! Yeh baat hai sahi aur galat ki!!! Meine jo bhi kiyaa woh galat nahi kiyaa!!!! Aur isliye mei sorry nahi bolungi!!!
Robbie starts to say : Oh come on Kas.......
Kasturi warns him : Don't you dare "Come on Kas" me, Robbie Sabharwal!! I will NOT apologize for something I have not done!! Bas........mei iss baare mei aur baat nahi karnaa chahti!!! Aur agar tum yahi baat karnaa chahte ho, toh don't bother to call me.........EVER AGAIN!!!"
And she cuts off the phone!

Robbie calls her back and as soon as she picks it up he says........"Phone mat katnaa......."

The line goes dead on him again! This time, Kasturi turns her phone off and slams it on her bed!!!! Robbie tries again and again and finally gives up! Frustrated, he leans against the wall and closing his eyes, sighs deeply!

And from behind him a shocked Devika is staring at him with a gamut of emotions flooding her face!!!

PART - 32 : A MEMORABLE BIRTHDAY

Devika quickly walks back into the room before Robbie notices her! Devika had heard the entire conversation and she was still reeling from the shock that Robbie was in love with...........with HER???? She sits on her chair dazed and replays that whole conversation!! Her heart warms up at the trust he had placed on her and at the way he was taking pains to protect her and her image!! 🙂 But still the shock of knowing that Robbie was in love and that too with that girl, Kasturi, is something she is not able to digest!! She continues to sit there for a long time, lost in thoughts.

Friday passes off with both Kasturi and Robbie still in the face-off! The whole Friday too Robbie keeps trying to call Kasturi. Unaware to him, Devika is observing him keenly!! She sees him wind through the day with pain and frustration that he was trying to hide from everyone!! She comes to realize that he was deeply involved with that girl .......which explained his struggle to try to make it right between her and that girl!!

Saturday arrives and it is Kasturi's birthday!!! But Kasturi was in no mood to celebrate her birthday! The face-off between her and Robbie had taken its toll and she was in a very depressed mood. Robbie himself was very depressed!! He had called to wish her on her birthday, but she had still not taken his call!!! Saturday morning, Gia comes to meet her. She hugs Kasturi affectionately and says 🤗
Gia : Many many happy returns of the day Kas!!! Hope you have a wonderful day!!! 😀
Kasturi replies back listlessly : Thanks Gia.
Gia notices that and says : Arre, itni ukhdi ukhdi hui kyun ho??
Kasturi replies shortly : Kaun, mei?? Nahi toh!
Gia smiles naughtily and says : Oh accha samjhi! Tumhaare Mr.Sabharwal neh tumhe abhi tak wish nahi kiyaa hai kya?? 😉 😆
Suddenly tears spring into Kasturi's eyes. 😭 😭 😭 She walks away from Gia and sits on her bed. Gia is surprised and she walks over to Kasturi and sits besides her and asks
Gia : Kya hua Kasturi? Itni udaas kyun ho? In fact, mei dekh rahi hun ke jab seh tum Singapore seh aayi ho, you are so restless and irritated all the time!! Kya hua hai tumhe?
Kasturi does not answer.
Gia asks again : Please Kas........what is the problem?? Kuch toh bataa! Is it Robbie?
Kasturi slowly shakes her head in the affirmative and suddenly the dam burts!! She had been controlling her frustration all along but now it was just too heavy to bear! Gia is shocked to see her like that and she comforts her hard. Slowly Kasturi recovers and she tells Gia all that happened. Gia listens attentively without interrupting. Finally Kasturi asks
Kasturi : Tu hi bataa Gia, issmei meri kyaa galti hai? 😭 😭
Gia replies : Naahi teri koi galti hai aur naahi Robbie ki! It was just a sequence of bad events! I think you both should forgive and forget! Iss baat ko aur badhaava denaa hi nahi chahiye!
Kasturi replies : Mei badhaava nahi de rahi hun! Its him!! Woh chahta hai ke mei uski maa koh sorry bolu for my behavior!!! Woh kyun itnaa hungaama kar rahaa hai mujhe samajh mei nahi aa rahaa! I mean, what is the big deal??? 😭 Gia says softly : Kasturi, ego seh baat nahi banegi......
Kasturi cuts her : Tu bhi usi ki tarah baat kar rahi hai, Gia!! Yeh ego ki baat nahi hai! Why the hell should I apologize?? Meine jab galti kee hi nahi, toh maafi kyun maangu?
Gia reasons with her : Thodi galti toh teri bhi hai Kas........
Kasturi says : Waise toh thodi galti uski mom ki bhi hai!! Toh kya unhe apologize nahi karnaa chahiye?
Gia sighs and says : Kasturi, this is not a eye to eye tribal game!! Tu expect nahi kar sakti ki Robbie ki maa bhi tujh seh maafi maange!! That is not how it works! More so, in middle-class families! Trust me on this.......mei experience seh bataa rahi hun.....
Suddenly Gia stops and bites her lip! Kasturi has noticed the sudden change in her tone and turns to look at her. Gia was struggling from some strong emotion but was trying hard to look normal! Kasturi looks at her surprised and asks..........."Kya hua Gia......"
"Kuch nahi".......says Gia quickly and regaining her composure quickly changes the topic saying.........."I am sure ke Robbie ke parivaar mei yeh sab baatein bahut maaine rakhti hai, ke tum neh badhon seh kaise baat ki, tum neh galti ki maafi maangi yaa nahi, tum neh badhon ki maryaada ko thes pahunchaaya hai yaa nahi!! You will not be able to talk to his parents the way you talk to your's!!! Utnaa freedom nahi hai tujhe!
Kasturi sits there sulking. Gia takes Kasturi's hand in her's and says
Gia : Dekh Kas......its quite simple! Tujhe Robbie chahiye hai toh thoda aur adjustment karnaa padhega! Its never a good idea to be in the bad books of your future mother-in-law, IF she becomes your mother-in-law!
Kasturi again notices the sadness in Gia's tone but she was too troubled with her own thoughts at this moment to question Gia! In heart of hearts Kasturi knew this herself, that it was not a good idea to be at loggerheads with Robbie's mom but she was refusing to accept it!!!
Gia says : Mei jaanti hun tu yeh sab samajhti hai! You have been with him for 10 months now, itnaa toh tu samajh hi gayi hogi! Its just that this situation sprung on you suddenly and you were caught unawares! Robbie unn aadmiyon mei seh nahi jo pyaar ko hi jeevan samajhta hai! Pyaar uske jeevan mei ek hissa hai, poora jeevan nahi!! The flip side of this is that you won't be the only special person in his life! But the bright side is that he will love and support you completely, if you are right!! Just like the way he is supporting his mother now, in future, if the situation ever arises, he will go all out and support you till the ends of earth!!! 🥰
Kasturi says : Magar usse sach jaan neh ki koshish toh karni chahiye thi na?? He automatically assumed that I was wrong and his mom was right!!!
Gia says : True! But Kas, yeh koi teen ghanton ki movie nahi jiss mei hero hamesha right hotaa hai aur kabhi koi galti nahi kar saktaa!! This is real life, baby! 🥰 Issmei pyaar bhi real hotaa hai aur ghussa bhi! And yahaan ke heroes bahut baar galti bhi kar baithte hai! 🙂 But the whole point is how much do you love him? And based on that are you ready to forgive him? 🙂

That day, around lunch time, Devika unexpectedly comes to know that it was Kasturi's birthday that day! Kasturi had invited the Sabharwal girls to her birthday during the camping trip itself. And she had again reminded them about it before her Singapore trip.
That afternoon, Devika, Robbie, Shivani and Divya had come home while Alaana was staying with her dad. Shivani was planning to do combined study with a friend of her's and so to find out if her evening was going to be free or not, she asks Robbie..........."Bhaiyya, Aaj hum Kasturi ke birthday party mei jaa rahe hai yaa nahi?"
Her sudden question will leave him flustered and before he can answer, Divya says angrily......"NEVER! Uss Kasturi ke baare mei toh baat bhi nahi karni chahiye! Usi ki wajah seh, bauji ki yeh haalat hui hai!!"
Shivani corrects her : Bauji kaa accident Kasturi neh nahi, Anand neh kiyaa tha!
Divya persists : Lekin woh Kasturi bhi toh car mei baithi thi..........
"Chutki!"........scolds Devika! Apne seh badhon kaa naam izzat seh le! Yeh kya baat karne kaa tareekaa hai??"
Divya sulks but shuts up. Devika turns to look at Robbie! So this was the reason he was looking even more depressed and sad today! It was her birthday and apparently they both were still not talking to each other!
The day draws closer to the evening when finally Devika leads Robbie to the "confession box" (balcony) and says
Devika : Robbie, mei tumseh kuch kehnaa chahti hun! Jo bhi Kasturi keh rahi hai..........woh sach hai!
Robbie looks at her surprised. Devika looks at him affectionately and taking his hands into her's, says........."Sorry, meine tumhaare aur Kasturi ke beech ka conversation sun liyaa tha!! 🙂
Robbie looks at her shocked and quickly tries to think what all she might have heard!!! Devika sees the wonder on his face and says calmly......"Poora sun liyaa tha!"
Robbie feels very embarrased and awkward! 🥰 He looks at her uncomfortably.
Devika says : Accident ke din, mei itni baukhlaa gayi thi......mujhe kuch dikh nahi rahaa tha tumhaare chachaji ke sivaa!! I was very shocked! Aur uss shock meh, mei yeh observe nahi kar paayi ki uss ladke Anand ko koi health problem hai! Ghussa aur tension seh meri aankhen band ho gayi thi!

She tells him all that happened that day. Robbie listens to her surprised. Her face was completely serene, there was no struggle on her face like she was finding it hard to tell him the truth! She never had any problem in telling the truth, even if it meant that she had to accept her part of the mistake too! 👏🏻 👏🏻 Devika concludes by saying......
Devika : In fact, jo Kasturi neh kiyaa, bilkul sahi kiyaa! I admire her friendship spirit! Uss neh apni dost ki har tarah seh madad kee! 🙂 That is what friendship is......A friend in need is a friend indeed! Uss neh dono pehlu ko sambhalne ki bahut koshish kee. Mujhe nahi lagtaa usse maafi maangne ki koi zaroorat hai! 🙂

Robbie stands there staring at Devika! He would never be able to express to her the relief he was feeling at that moment, but it was very obvious to Devika what he was feeling! 🥰
Devika looks at him meaningfully and says : Robbie, jo ladhki apne dosti ke liye yeh kar sakti hai, toh socho, woh apne pyaar ke liye kya nahi kar sakti hai??

Robbie is ovecome with emotion and suddenly, he gives her a quick hug and says urgently : Chachi..........mujhe thoda kaam hai! If its ok with you, mei ek-do ghanton mei aa jaungaa......🥰
Devika says : Sure!
As Robbie is about to leave the balcony, she calls out to him and says with a smile : Gift le jaana bhoolna mat! 🙂
Robbie smiles at her sheepishly and quickly leaves, blushing 🥰 🥰 !!

Robbie had just left, when the phone rings. Devika takes the call. It is Kasturi!!
Kasturi and Gia had talked it out for long. Talking to Gia gives Kasturi a different perspective on the situation! She weighs his virtues vs follies and realizes that his virtues weigh much higher and so contemplates on giving in a bit and calling to apologize to his mom!! 🥰 Moreover, she did not want to spend her birthday without him!! 🥰 So, Kasturi calls Robbie's home phone hoping that Devika is home and as luck would have it, Devika picks up the call!! There is an awkwardness between them which is broken by Devika when she asks her
Devika : Kaisi ho tum, Kasturi? 🙂
Kasturi replies quietly : Acchi hun aunty. Aap kaisi hai? Aur.........uncle ji??
Devika says : Hum dono acche hai. Unki tabiyat mei bhi bahut improvement ho rahaa hai. Teen-chaar hafton mei ghar aa jaane ki umeed hai.
Then she pauses for a moment and says : Robbie ghar mei nahi hai, tum neh uskaa cell try nahi kiyaa? 😜
Kasturi says : Ji.....meine aapseh baat karne ke liye hi phone kiyaa hai.
Kasturi pauses for a moment and Devika also keeps quiet.
Kasturi : Woh......woh uss din hospital mei, meine aap par chillaya, uskeh liye maafi maangna chah rahi thi..........I am sorry....
Devika interrupts her and says : Nahi Kasturi, sorry ki koi zaroorat nahi. Sach baat toh yeh hai, ke galti meri bhi thi! 🙂 Mei itni baukhala gayi thi ki mei kya kar rahi hun yeh ehsaas hi nahi rahaa! I was not in my senses and so I can understand your reaction. And your reaction was very valid too. 🙂
Kasturi is very surprised at Devika's answer! She had not expected this reaction, at all! She suddenly feels very happy and relieved!😀
Devika continues : Mei Robbie ko abhi yahi samjha rahi thi! You are fine, tumhe sorry bolne ki koi zaroorat nahi! 🙂
Kasturi thanks her and Devika inquires about Anand. Kasturi tells her that Anand is better now and that he too is very remorseful about the accident and once again apologizes on his behalf. They talk for a few more minutes and disconnect the call.

Kasturi slowly separates herself from Robbie, who releases her very unwillingly. They stare at each other in a new light and Robbie simply says......."Sorry!"
Kasturi says with a wink : Sirf sorry?? Where is the gift?? 😉 😀
Robbie shakes his head and says with a smile : I see, you are back to normal!!
He leans towards her with an intention to kiss her lips when Kasturi leans back away from him and asks........."Kya kar rahe ho?" ........."Did'nt you want the gift??"........he questions her naughtily!! 😉
Kasturi hits him and says : Tumhaare jitni besharam nahi hoon! 🙂 I am talking about an actual gift!
Robbie once again pulls her into his arms and kissing her forehead says softly........"Many many happy returns of the day! Aur mei yahi chahta hun ke tumhaara koi bhi birthday aise dukhi na beete, jaise aaj hua!"
Kasturi says : Aur agar beete bhi toh, woh din khatam hote hote mujhe itna hi aanand mile, jitnaa aaj milaa! 🥰

Robbie shakes his head in agreement and takes a box from behind him and gives it to Kasturi. Kasturi quickly opens the gift wrap. She was really keen to see what he got her! She opens the box and sees a pair of ghunghroo! (Ghunghroo are small bells that are worn by all dancers in their feet. They are like anklets but make a lot of beautiful noise. It is a very important part of their dancing attire! Here is a picture of them.................. Ghunghroo)
Kasturi looks at him surprised. She sees a very satisfied look in Robbie's eyes and so turns back to look at the gift when she notices a paper in the box. Kasturi takes out the paper that was placed under the anklets and opens to read it. As she reads that paper, her face registers the awe and shock at realizing what she held in her hands! She held in her hand, one of Pandit Birju Maharaj's(a very very famous Kathank exponent par excellence) pair of anklets!

That great Kathak dancer had used about 10 pairs of anklets throughout his lifetime dancing and this was one of those!!! Kasturi could not believe she held in her hand something so special, so precious! Robbie is absolutely enjoying the shock, the surprise and the wonder on her face! Finally Kasturi finds her voice and says......."Kaise.....kaise mile yeh tumhe?? These are not even for sale!!! How???"
Robbie smiles and says with a wink : I have my connections.......Can't reveal them! 😉 😀 Pehle yeh toh batao.......did you like the gift??
Kasturi says incredously : Like it??? OMG, I LOVE IT! I am going to treasure these!!! Mei apne most important dances peh inhe pehnungi! 😀 😀

She hugs Robbie tight and thanks him for such a wonderful gift!!! 🤗 A gift that she had never imagined she would ever get! And she cannot help but understand how much thought and effort Robbie must have put into this!!! 🥰 🥰 🥰 Getting her something was not easy.........because she had everything!! And anything she did not have, she was in a position to buy it...........after all, she was a millionairess!! Try how hard, Robbie could never match her financial strength! And so it must have been even more difficult to get her something that she would not simply like, but actually treasure!! 👏🏻 👏🏻 👏🏻
Kasturi says to him, still hugging him : Pataa hai, jab tum aur boyfriends ki tarah mujhe greeting cards, flowers, chocolates vagairah nahi dete the, toh mei sochti thi ke kis kanjoos seh paala padha! Mujhe kabhi koi gift degaa bhi yaa nahi!!!
Robbie laughs 😆 😆 😆
Kasturi continues : Aaj pataa chala, tum kitne thoughtful ho! Thank you very much Robbie and...............I love you! 🥰 🥰
Robbie suddenly becomes solemn and says : Kasturi mujhe tumseh kuch kehnaa hai.
Hearing his serious tone, Kasturi disengages herself from him and looks at him. Robbie holds her hands and says........"Kai dinon seh yeh bataana chah rahaa tha, aaj maukaa milaa! Tum shaayad soch rahi ho ke mei apni maa ko chachi kyun bulaa rahaa hun!! Kyunki...............

Robbie tells her everything about his parents and the turn of events in his life that led him to his uncle and aunt's lives! It is a very emotional narration, at the end of which Kasturi had tears in her eyes! 😭 😭 She hugs him, desperately wishing to reduce his pain somehow, anyhow!! 🤗 She could imagine what a nightmare Robbie must have gone through and understands his fears and anxiety!

Robbie says : Jab tum meri zindagi mei aayi toh mei ghabraa gayaa! I was very scared to let you come near me! But you simply crashed through all the barriers I had built around me and were standing right in front of me, demanding to be let in!!! 🙂 And once I have let you in, there is no way out!! Chahe hum dono mei kitnaa bhi badaa jhagdaa ho yaa phir yuddh(war) hi kyun na ho jaaye, promise me you will never leave me! 🥰
Kasturi whispers : I promise! 🥰
Robbie tightens his hold on her and they both stay so for a while, immersed in the emotional reunion. After a few minutes, Robbie says....
Robbie : Waise mujhe pataa hai tum Mathematics mei weak ho lekin itni simple calculation mei bhi galti?? Accha hua tum Chawla.E nahi join hui! Nahi toh company ka diwaala nikal jaata! 😆 😆
Kasturi separates herself from him and looks at him puzzled, completely clueless about what he was saying!
Robbie winks at her and says with a mischievous grin on his face : 3.5*24, 80 hours nahi.........84 hours hote hai!! 😉 😆 😆

As the meaning of his words registers in her mind, a furious Kasturi rushes to hit him while Robbie dodges her punches, laughing! 😆 😆 😆
