Hey Shara, Don't be guilty 😊 Being a parent is a big responsibility & I have been told there is no user manual or return policy with kids. 😉
As annoying she is at times, I wont exchange my mom for anyone 😉 - I am sure daughter would say the same thing 😛 .
BTW, do the bhashan's work?

Anju, hehe very true it is really nice to be a pampered daughter and a mom to pamper your daughty :)

but i had to become a mom to understand my moms extras concern for me and me being mom now i feel it is natural for you to be possesive, concern for your kid! and it become very difficult balance! as i know what she will be thinking when i say something similar to what my mom said to me and althought while writing i feel it funny, going through is not easy!

as for as working of bhashans yup sometime they work and sometime they simply wont work. now adays kids are very smart and intelligent enough so you simply cant say them something get it over you see . cause the same words will come back to as a sharp arrow! but yes on top of everything they do sure know where to play and when they are crossing limits and how to cross the limits also!

as it is a journey for you and kid so it will very nice and no need of manual you see.

Hai robina, yes I agree as parents we will be confused most of the time whether we are treading the correct path.....but only time will be able to tell that..and we always try to give our best ! I agree that in India it is quite common for parents to take it as responsibilty to choose partners for their children! It has its advantages and disadvantages..though I would not probe into all that! I have seen parents interfering in childrens choice of partners whether it is high class society middle class any where! Many many cases are there where children have given up their love for parents...but it is all done with mutual understanding! I prefer that.!..I would have preferred devika to convince Robbie to give up kasturi ...though we all know Robs would have never done that! It would be correct also as Devikas reason for rejecting kas as bahu is money and status only! Even for practical reasons going to such extents to break your child relation with is GF is unacceptable! I have seen parents breaking up with children when they dont heed to their advice...which Devika was not ready to do...she wanted full control on Robbie! That aspect also has made me feel bitter for her...I believe in giving our children some space and let them take decisions. As a mother I would have definitely given my piece of advice to my child if I felt it required and thats it...definitely no for all that duplicity acts!

Devika had herself acknowledged that kasturi was a intelligent girl with self respect ...and sanskaari! It is very clear that she never felt kasturi not fit for Robbie on any other account except money and status. If kasturi was rich Devika would never have had any problems with Roka marriage.

I think you girls are confused on whether kasturi is a fitting partner for Robbie watching all her present day actions!😆 But I would say she is the perfect for Robbie and would have been an ideal partner and an ideal bahu also!😳 I would say he would have been lucky to marry her as she would have complimented him well and considering their love for each other they would have definitely been an ideal couple!😳 Regarding her bhashans ..it might not have been necessary if they had married...I really think Robbie would have many ways to handle her right!😉 And regarding their problems after marriage...who doesnt have...I believe all newly weds take lot of effort and hardships to adjust to each other and remain married!😛

Okay all this said...if I had been in Devikas place I would have def. given a green signal for my son to marry a girl like kasturi!😉

Oops I forgot to mention my sons views a complete opposite of mine...he is a idolizer of Devika ...her schemes ! He is going gaga over her ability to split people...which he thinks is very difficult considering the fact that he believes trust is very difficult to break!😃

@RK the piece you just wrote was so beautiful, and i hope i do right by my kids cause you only get one chance. honestly as a single person i never thought that anyone can break you, but once you have kids, it like you take your heart and put it into the palm of your hand and say yes now the world can hurt me.... does this apply to devika sorta not truly but yeah i think she's been hurt through her kids and their choices.....

@lwfw, truly i wish there was a back up plan when it comes to kids, but truly life is a highway, and there are way too many bumps and turns in this to keep track, i guess if my kids learn the fundementals of being a good individual i think as parents we'll succeed. and thats why i cant really say devika was a bad mom, Robbie seems like a nice guy fundamentally, he wont choose the wrong path, as of yet, he doesnt lie, cheat, he feels remorse good attributes in a human being...

In this way, I too agree with this tat may be SS kids have done mistakes but they are all gud by heart. They never did any mistake knowingly and most importantly, they dont scheme or make evil plan like their mom😆
