Finally I am updating the story!! 🤣

I am not very satisfied with the update because the current track of the show has distracted me

But I hope that you guys would enjoy it, I have not proof read it yet, so please ignore the errors and if you guys have any ideas or demands regarding the story please let me know!! I’ll try to incorporate them in it! 😳

Part 6

The sound of Alarm distrubed Prerna’s sleep, she scrunched her eyes in annoyance and groaned

‘Mr. Bajaj aapke phone ka alarm off kijiye…’

She muttered in her sleep, Rishabh opened his eyes listening to her voice and tried to get up but then he realised that Kukki and Prerna were still sleeping with half of their weights on his body. The alarm started ringing more loudly when it rang for the second time and Prerna groaned.

‘Mr. Bajaj, alarm bandh kijiye na… Kukki ki bhi neend disturb ho jayegi….’

‘Prerna… I would have switched it off but you and your daughter have got me pinned to the bed, I can’t even move..’

Prerna opened her eyes at his words and realised that he was right, She had been sleeping on half of his body on the left side while Kukki’s entire weight was on the right side of his body. She sprang apart and immediately got out of the bed. Rishabh gently shifted Kukki on the bed and grabbed his phone from the side table to turn off the alarm. He walked to Prerna who was rambling through the closet. She couldn’t meet eyes with Rishabh, she was so embarrassed at how she had ended up sleeping half on him. He came and stood behind her silently, as soon as she turned she almost walked into him.

‘Vo I am sorry… neend main pata hi nahi chala when I … app theek hain na? Hum dono ke weight se kahin aapko problem toh nahi hui??’

Prerna asked and looked at him worriedly, Rishabh laughed at her expressions but was touched by her concern for him

‘Do baatein Prerna.. first, aap aur kukki dono bohut lightweight hain, toh aapke so-called weight se Mujhe koi problem nahi hui .. and second, kal raat kai saalon baad sukoon ki neend aai…’

He paused and turned to look at kukki

‘Last time aisi neend tab aai thi jab kukki bohut chuti thi aur usse main apne godh main sulata tha… aur agar sach kahun toh main har raat aap dono ko apne arms main leke so sakta hun…’

His words and the sincerity in them made Prerna smile, even she had slept peacefully after ages last night. Her life had changed dramatically in the last few months and maybe that had also affected her sleep which she didn’t acknowledge until last night. She didn’t even realise when she voiced her thoughts out loud

‘Mujhe bhi bohut chain ki neend aai, even I won’t mind sleeping in arms every night’

Rishabh turned to her with surprise clearly visible on his face. When realisation hit her Prerna was in shocked herself, she shut her eyes in utter embarrassment and Rishabh smiled at her, he took a step closer to her and Prerna was about to leave when he blocked her way with his arms. She looked anywhere but at him, Rishabh enjoyed having this effect on her. He didn’t know why, but seeing her blush because of him made him feel happy in a weird way. He gently cupped her cheek with one hand and made her look at him.

They both got lost in each other’s eyes, no words were required to communicate what they felt for each other because their eyes were speaking volumes and both had shy smiles on their faces. With his free hand Rishabh gently tugged the few strands of hair that were disturbing their eye lock

Their moment broke when Tanvi barged in their room. She stood rooted to her place and spoke loudly to bring them out of their trance, they both got startled at her voice, Rishabh turned in her direction and glared at her.

‘Oh god!! I am sorry.. I should have knocked’

She spoke with a forced smile and tried to act like she was embarrassed because of what she had just witnessed.

‘What do you want Tanvi?’

Rishabh asked her sternly and her face fell a bit, however she composed herself and spoke

‘Vo mom aap logon ko breakfast ke liye bula rahi thi ..’

‘We will come in 15 mins’

Rishabh spoke curtly and Tanvi left their room after giving them a small smile. She was frustrated, since Rishabh’s back was facing her and he was so close to Prerna, the position in which they were, she thought that Rishabh was kissing Prerna when she had walked in their room. And then the way he spoke to her, he was annoyed at her for spoiling their moment. She fumed in anger and just went back to her room. Masi saw her enter room and asked her the reason behind her sour mood. Once Tanvi explained her everything Masi made her sit on the bed and got her a glass of water

‘Tanvi hume lagta hai ki tumhe Rishabh ke bare main apne khayal badal lene chahiye.. Rishabh ko Prerna se pyaar hogaya hai aur abh Prerna usske baache ki Maa bane wali hai, Rishabh jis tarah se usska khayal rakh raha hai, jo baatein tum hume bata rahi ho, vo kisi ko bhi Unn dono ke beech nahi aane dega … toh better hai ki tum apni soch badal lo aur unhe alag karne ki koshish na karo, kyunki vo dono abh alag ho hi nahi sakte…’

Masi left the room but Tanvi sat there in shock, trying to analyse her mother’s words, how could she forget Rishabh ? He was her first love. But she knew that her mom was also right. They both knew Rishabh well, if he loved something or someone he would never let anyone come between them or take that away from him. She knew that if she tried to create differences between the two of them the plan could backfire on her and Rishabh would never be hers after that at all. She groaned in frustration, what should she do now??

Prerna walked to the table for breakfast holing Kukki’s hand. She looked at Rishabh and bit her lip, trying to hide her blush, she was having a hard time to forget their morning conversation. Rishabh smirked seeing her, as she and Kukki reached the table he got up to pull a chair for Prerna and once she was comfortably seated he took Kukki on his lap and asked Chandu to get their breakfast. As soon as he placed a bowl of fruits and sprouts in front of her Prerna glared at Rishabh

‘Phir se Sprouts aur fruits?! Mr. Bajaj aap kya chahte ho, humara baby Hulk ke tarah dikhe??’

She spoke angrily, not just Rishabh but everyone who was seated on the table looked at her in confusion

‘Prerna, what are you trying to say?’

‘What I am trying to say is that for the past two weeks I have been eating only green vegetables and fruits or sprouts. Mujhe toh lag raha hai ki itna green khane ke baad Baby Hulk ke jaisa hi dikhega !!’

She spoke and pouted, her expressions were serious, Rishabh facedpalm and spoke

‘That’s illogical Prerna.. how’s that possible… aap..’

‘Really, meri baatein illogical lag rahi hain aapko?? Oh right, logical baatein toh sirf aap hi karte ho na… but you know what, main yeh abh aur nahi khane wali…’

She stormed back to her room ignoring Rishabh’s call, He covered his face with his hands and breathed deeply. What was wrong with his wife? He thought, Kukki removed his hands from his face and looked at him sternly. She gestured him to go after Prerna and pacify her.

‘Rishabh, humne tumhe pehle hi kaha tha ki Prerna ke mood swings bohut drastic honge… abh jao aur mano usse..’

Masi spoke sternly and Rishabh looked at her helplessly

‘Lekin masi, her talks made no sense… how’s it possible that the baby will be born like Hulk because she is eating only greens ?!’

He tried to reason out with her but Masi made him understand that Prerna didn’t mean it, she was upset because he was making her eat only a certain type of food everyday, that was why she was mad at him! Rishabh realised his mistake and looked at Kukki

‘Aap apna breakfast finish karo.. Main apki Mamma ko mana kar lata hun…’

He walked to their room and sighed before he opened the door. Prerna sat on the bed with her arms folded around her knees, he went and sat opposite to her. She turned her face to the other side as an indication that she was mad at him

‘Prerna..’

He called her softly but she kept ignoring him

‘I am sorry… obviously I don’t want our baby to become Hulk… which by the way is not possible at all..’

Prerna glared at him, is this how someone is supposed to apologise??

‘ I should have realised that aap do week se same cheez khake bore ho gai hain…’

He moved closer to her and caught her hand in his

‘But the thing is that I want you and our Baby to be healthy.. issliye toh aapko sirf sprouts aur fruits aur green vegetables khila raha tha!! But I guess we'll have to figure out a different way so that you eat healthy and also enjoy your food!!’

Prerna looked at him and pouted, it was not like she didn’t know that he was concerned about her and their baby but she couldn’t eat only health food anymore!

‘I know but sometimes you have to allow me to eat something which is not so healthy!! Warna baby ke food choices apke tarah boring hongi!!!’

She cribbed, Rishabh frowned at her

‘Meri food choice boring hai??’

‘Aur nahi toh kya, har din itna healthy khana sirf boring log hi khate hain…’

Rishabh rolled his eyes and replied

‘It’s better to eat healthy than to have something unhealthy and spoil your health!! So if that makes me Boring, then I am boring!!’

‘But I don’t want out baby to be boring!!’

‘He won’t be!! Come on, he's going to be OUR baby!! He’ll also be crazy like you!!

Rishabh tried to assure her but she scorned

‘Now you think I am crazy?? Pehle aapko meri baatein illogical lag rahi thi aur abh aap mujhe crazy bula rahe ho!!’

Rishabh shut his eyes in annoyance, trying not to lose his patience, it was her mood swings that were making her say all of this, he reminded himself, he took a breath to calm himself and spoke

‘Jaan… I didn’t mean that you are crazy in that way, I mean, you are fun and you know how to enjoy life !! The baby has your genes, obviously he is going to be like you!! And just like us, even our Baby will have his own choices, so don’t worry about that now!’

He caressed her cheek and continued

‘See, I can’t promise that I’d allow you to eat unhealthy food regularly, but I can try to not feed you only healthy food all the time as well!’

Prerna smiled at him, but Rishabh felt that she was up to something because her eyes had some mischief in them

‘Theek hai I’ll have healthy food .. par Agar main aapse kuch kahun toh aap vo karoge??’

‘Anything you ask Prerna’

‘Okay! Toh aap apne hair colour kar lijiye..’

She said excitedly and Rishabh looked at her amused at her request

‘Why??’

‘Mr. Bajaj aap Abhi bhi young ho, but your hair makes you look 10 years older than your age, kal bhi aapse maine kaha tha na .. I want you to change your hair colour so that you at least look like your age!!’

Rishabh gave it a thought, she wasn’t wrong, but he liked his salt and pepper hair pattern because sometimes people took him seriously because of that!

‘You really want me to change my hair colour?’

Prerna nodded her head vigorously, suddenly an idea struck him

‘Okay fine!! I’ll change my hair colour, but on one condition… You’ll then call me by my Name! And not Mr. Bajaj, if you agree to that, I’ll change my hair colour.’

Prerna looked at him with wide eyes, he was older to her, she respected him, how could she call him by his name?

‘You said yesterday that our age gap doesn’t bother you right! So why can’t you address me with my first name? I know you respect me but aap agar mujhe mere naam se bulaogi toh vo respect kam nahi ho jayegi Prerna.. but I don’t want to force you. So only if your comfortable to call me by my name, I’ll change my hair colour! Now. You think about that and I’ll go to drop Kukki to school’

Prerna was lost in her thoughts when Rishabh started walking out of the room

‘Rishabh…’

She called him out making him stop in his tracks and smile, he turned to her

‘Please Jane se pehle kuch kha lijiye ga, aur chandu se kahiye ki mera liye fruits yahan room main de jaye!!’

Rishabh gave her a nod and left the room, he went to the table and grabbed an apple from there, instructing Chandu to serve Prerna her breakfast in the room he caught Kukki’s hand and left the house without catching the shocked expressions of Masi and Tanvi along with the Basus. After his wife had called him by his name Rishabh’s happiness was so palpable that everyone noticed it.

Prerna was getting bored sitting in her room, Rishabh had to go to the office after dropping Kukki to school for some urgent work. He assured her that he would be back in 2 -3 hrs but Prerna was missing him. She was surprised that she had gotten so used to his presence, since Rishabh was working from home for the past two weeks, Prerna and he would spend most of the day together. He’d also discuss about his projects with her and she really enjoyed listening to him, she shared her ideas about his project and he actually valued her suggestions and tried to make changes according to them.

She was tempted to call him and ask how long would he take to come back but she stopped herself, she thought that she would disturb his work. She continued flipping through the magazine pages when she heard someone knock on the door. She looked up and her mouth fell agape!!

Rishabh stood there on the door with a box of chocolate in his hands and just like he had promised her, he had coloured his hair to their original Chocolate brown colour, she jumped out of the bed and walked to him. She got so happy about the fact that he listened to her and fulfilled her wish that she hugged him excitedly taking him by surprise!!

‘If I would have known that you’d get so happy after I changed my hair colour, I would have done it long ago!’

Prerna tilted her head and looked at him without breaking the hug, she gave him a big smile! He kissed the top of her head, he showed her the box of chocolate and saw her eyes lit up ! She broke the hug and tried to get the box from his hand but Rishabh kept shuffling the box between his hands. After a few minutes Prerna gave up and pouted. She folded her arms around her chest and turned her back towards him. He called her out but she ignored him. Rishabh snaked his arms around her waist and rested his head on her shoulder

‘Naraz ho gai??’

He asked softly but Prerna didn’t reply to him

‘Okay!! Aap mujhse baat mat karo… lekin I am sure ki mera Baby mujhe se zaroor baat karega…’

He broke the hug and went in front of her, he sat on his knees in front of her and spoke in a baby like voice

‘Dekha Baby, subah se do baar apki Mamma mujh se nazar ho chuki hain.. maine toh unke kehne pe mere hair bhi colour karva liye..phir bhi gussa hain’

He looked up at Prerna and saw her lips curving into a smile.

‘But I am sure ki aap Mamma ke tarah mujhse naraz nahi ho…’

‘Baby bhi aapse nazar hai!!’

Prerna cut him and complained, Rishabh looked at her confusingly

‘Accha.. aur baby mujhse naraz kyun hai??’

‘Kyunki App Baby aur uski Mamma ko chocolates nahi de rahe..’

Rishabh stood up and spoke innocently

‘Meri itni majal ki mere Baby ko kuch chahiye aur main usse vo na dun?? Bilkul nahi!!’

He opened the box and unwrapped one chocolate, he bought it to her lips and Prerna took a bite of the chocolate bar, she gave him a big smile and then taking the chocolate from his hand she made him have a bite too. They finished the chocolate bar in a matter of minutes, Rishabh whipped off some chocolate from the corner of her lips. She hugged him once again and thanked him.

They stood in each other's embrace peacefully while Anurag who had witnessed the whole scene was upset seeing them so close, he was passing through the passage when he overhead the last part of their conversation, he assumed that Rishabh was addressing Prerna as ‘Baby’, he couldn’t bare the closeness and comfort that the two of them had started sharing in the past few days. He couldn’t believe that His Prerna had moved on in her life and she was happy. But what about him? Could he be happy in his life again? Without Prerna?

The rest of the day Rishabh tried his best to not do or say anything that would make Prerna angry or upset her once again. He was sitting on the couch doing some work on his laptop when Prerna came back to the room after putting Kukki to sleep, he saved his work and immediately shut his laptop, placing it on the table he walked over to her. Wrapping his arm around her waist he took her to bed and made her lie properly, after he tugged her in the bed he slipped in the covers next to her. Prerna looked at him and bit her lip, she wanted to ask him something but she was nervous about his reaction. Rishabh raised an eyebrow, asking her silently what was she worrying about?

‘Vo actually… ummm…can we sleep like yesterday??’

She asked him hesitantly. Her request had pleasantly surprised Rishabh, he just nodded his head and stretched his arm, she came closer to him and placed her head on his chest, Rishabh wrapped his arms around her and pulled her closer to him.

They had a sweet smile playing on their lips as sleep came to them, day by day they were coming closer to each other and their little Baby was not just the reason for their happiness but also their little Cupid!!

BEAUTIFUL! ❤️ This chapter was so adorable

This is such a feel-good heartwarming update Niyati🤗

The starting❤️, both Prerna and Kukki sleeping hugging him. Prerna is so embarrassed after realizing it😆. I LOVE how he conveyed that he has got that peaceful sleep after ages, just like her. They are ok and willing to sleep in each other arms all their life. Hayee, their eyelock and their moment here❤️. Tanvi has to spoil. Maasi is logical here, she understood Bajaj loves Prerna and he would never let her go from his life. Let's see if Tanvi accepts this fact soon or she will do something helping Anurag.

Breakfast and her mood swings😆. I love these moments between them, typical husband-wife banter. Their talks arguing about everything and anything is so adorable. She is calling him Rishabh❤️. He changed his hair color and that hug❤️. I absolutely love their talks to baby, so adorable❤️. I hope Basu doesn't do anything now for taking his revenge. The ending, how cutely she asks whether they can sleep in each other arms and he agrees instantly❤️.

I loved this chapter so much, I had this stupid smile on my face after reading this Niyati❤️. Please continue soon.
