Ch4.

The doctor came and checked on Prerna's vitals before giving a final nod to her discharge. He was happy seeing the improvement in her health and said that she can get discharged today. She thanked the doctor.

Everyone was happy to know that she was getting discharged today,especially Rishabh and Veena. Only they knew the importance of this chance as to how to gain her forgiveness and trust. Rishabh went to complete the discharge formalities.

Prerna was brought infront of the main gate where the car was parked. She slowly got up and sat inside the car with her daughter Kukki on her lap,who was excited and happy seeing her Momma back.

For a moment,she didnt want to enter that home where she was misunderstood by her husband,but for Kukki,her baby,she had to go because Kukki had become her life. She cuddled her angel and leaned back in the seat and closed her eyes.

Rishabh and Veena witnessed this and their eyes' welled up.

After a few minutes,they reached Bajaj Mansion. Rishabh opened the gate for Prerna which she appreciated silently,by blinking her eyes.

Kukki got down and held her Mumma's hand and asked her to come out slowly,with her sign gestures. Prerna felt happy to see her daughter's gestures and gave her a bear hug.

Nivedita and Anupam were already waiting for them on the door with a Pooja thaali to welcome Prerna. Nivi applied tika and asked her to enter. All the servants' lined up in the main hall to welcome their Matriarch. She conveyed her thanks to them with a sweet smile.

"Prerna." Rishabh called her from back..

She stopped on her track. It felt nice to hear her name from his mouth,but the encounter between them was enough to takeover her mind.

"Mrs. Bajaj for you!!! Kahiye!!" She replied with no emotions.

Rishabh could feel her pain which was only given by him. He deserved this ignorance from her.

"Aap abhi abhi hospital se aayi hai... Room mein chalke aaram kar lijiye,please." He replied with a small smile.

"Haan Prerna... Tum fresh hojao,main khana lagwati hu..." Nivi replied and was about to leave for the kitchen,when the unexpected reply came.

"Main sirf aur sirf Kukki ki Maa hu... Aapne toh meri ek patni hone ka adhikar hi cheen liya hai.. Mera saamaan aur main Kukki ke room mein rahenge. I hope main apni baat clear kar chuki hu.." Prerna said in a calm yet angry tone to Rishabh.

She shouted to call the head servant of the Mansion.

"Chandu... Chandu..." The head servant came at one call of the Matriarch of the mansion.

"Ji Ma'am...'' He asked for her command.

"Abhi ke abhi upar wale kamre se mera saraa saaman Kukki ke room mein shift karwado.. Go!!" Prerna ordered.

Chandu went upstairs and immediately started his work. He and the other servants could feel that their Madam was not in a good mood today.

Nivi finally guessed that something is wrong for sure in between Prerna and Rishabh's life. She asked Anupam to come and help her in the kitchen. Anupam understood and went to the kitchen with his wife.

Rishabh became sad and scared seeing this scary side of his wife.. He needs to be extra careful in making the plan to pacify the home minister of this house.

"Mujhe kuch aur sochna parega Prerna ko manane keliye.. I am feeling so clueless today!!! Hey Bhagwaan!!!" He scratched his head like a small kid in confusion and called all the Gods' he knew,in his mind to help him in his mission, "Patni Manao,Shaadi Bachao.."

Prerna was walking towards her daughter's room when her mother called her from behind.

"Priyu.. mujhe tujhse baat.." She couldnt complete as Prerna cut her words.

"Priyu marchuki hai... Agar aap bhul gayi hai toh main yaad dila du ki aap hi ne sabke saamne mera shraadh kiya thha... mere jeete jee!!! Main yeh bhuli nahi hu aur naahi bhulungi apne marte dum tak.." and saying this she walked away.

Nivedita and Anupam saw this and understood that it was Prerna's immense pain that was making her talk like this. Both of them went towards Rishabh and Prerna and promised them to patch up together before Durga Puja.
