Just read it again. Still love it 😳 Now I wanna write sexy, smouldering PM heat stuff too 😭 😳 and I can't do that w/o advocating cheating maybe I'll do a Dallas-dream plot - Mukti's not really married to Shaurya; its a DREAM! Of course! 😆

I miss Purva from Kahaani (old Gunn) so thought I'd write a slightly different bit.

Chapter 6

"Aargghh" Shruti screamed to herself as she continued striding around her room. "Men"
"You going to go into details or should I just guess?" Shruti turned to see Gunn walking into her room. She had an amused smile on her face as she looked to Shruti for an explanation.
"It's a long story"
"I have time," said Gunn settling down on the bed.
"Ok, fine" Shruti sat on the bed and started telling Gunn about what happened.
"……and then he kissed me" Shruti finished.
"Uh huh… Did you kiss him back?"
"No" Shruti answered too quickly. Gunn knew Shruti wasn't being honest but it seemed to be more of a lie to herself than to her so she let that go.
"What now?" Gunn asked
"I'm avoiding him," said Shruti "He's just messing with my head."

Actually she had no clue what she was doing at all. Hiding was not a plan, she was better than that, but the problem was she didn't know how she felt. Four days later and still no clue. That was the part that scared her, that she might actually like him. How else could she explain kissing him back? It was attraction, but that was understandable, he was hot. But there was something else as well, something she didn't feel ready to admit to.

Gunn watched Shruti thinking, and smiled to herself, it had been a while since she'd been like this. Traces of the old Shruti were coming back. She seemed to have changed so much since Sameer left, but recently she'd been becoming more her usual self. Gunn thought it had been the project but perhaps that was only part of it.

"Maybe he likes you" Gunn ventured
"No, he's a player. New girl every week. I'm just his latest toy" Shruti said sullenly
"I thought you said he didn't get a chance to play," said Gunn innocently. Shruti looked over and saw the devilish grin on her face.
"Stop that" Shruti cried, "You're the mature one remember. This isn't helping me. Tell me what to do"
"Because you take to advice so well," Gunn said, really enjoying herself now. It had been a while since she'd been able to really talk and joke around with Shruti, she realised just how much she'd missed her friend.
Shruti just gave her a withering look.
"Ok, fine," said Gunn raising her hands in defeat "Well for a start you have to see him. It's been- what-four days now? He's going to think you're afraid of him. You don't want him to think he scared you off do you?"
"You know you're not fooling anyone with your reverse psychology don't you?" Shruti asked
"Is it working?" Gunn returned with a grin.
"Yesss" Shruti agreed, almost reluctantly.

Gunn was right, she realised, she couldn't avoid UD forever, for one thing they had work to finish and she was also sort of missing just hanging out with him-not a lot she told herself, just a little. She would just act normal, she could do that. Pretend nothing had happened. Like that's going to work, her inner voice said, she decided to ignore that too.
"You're right" Shruti announced to Gunn" I can't avoid him anymore. We have to work together. I'm going to go there and act normal. Besides I have to see him, I owe him a bottle of water"
Gunn was amused "Are you sure that's the best plan? It's not exactly mature.
Or business-like" she added
Shruti raised her brow at Gunn
"Right" she sighed, "I almost forgot who I was talking to"
"Hey" said Shruti, offended. She grabbed the cushion nearest to her and threw it at Gunn.
"That's not a nice thing to do," squealed Gunn as she retaliated with her own cushion.

UD hung up the phone, she still wasn't answering. It had been a few days since the kiss and Shruti was still ignoring him. She came to the office when he wasn't there and didn't answer any of his calls. He was getting irritated now. He would never have thought she'd be one to hide from anyone, but that's what she was doing. The biggest problem, he thought, was just how much it bothered him. He didn't like caring that she wasn't speaking to him. It wasn't the UD way, but somehow, it didn't seem right that she was avoiding him. That's it UD decided, no more Mr Nice Guy, he was mad she was avoiding him and even madder about the fact that he cared about it, but he wasn't going to let her get away with it. She would have to deal with he decided and he would make it difficult…………..

Loved it - Shruti needs a friend like Purva-Gunn, and if Kahaani aint gonna give it to us, its a good thing you are 😉 😆 More UD-Shruti next pls....wanna see the awkwardness after "The Kiss" 😉

😆 Oh yeah, the awkawrdness is coming, but we know how badly Shruti (and UD) deal with that, so who knows 😉 😆 😆
