Ok this is a crossover fanfic with Prem and Shruti form KGGK. Its an idea that has been in my (and others) head for a while.
A little background:
There was no second leap in Kahaani and cos its wish fulfilment Sameer ran away with Gayatri (Yayđ )
For the purpose of this story Mukti doesn't exist (I know, how could I? But it has to be done).
Chapter 1
Shruti had spent the best part of two months sitting in her room getting depressed after Sameer left. She even tried getting drunk to help her deal but the morning-after killer hangover was enough for her give up on that idea. Everyone was worried about her and she knew it but she couldn't face them yet.
She realised somewhere along the way that she stopped being upset about him leaving and it was more about her own stupidity. She always made bad choices when it came to men. Time to face that, she should have known he was bad news when he was messed up with all that fraud stuff but her blind faith in the wrong people was always getting her into trouble. No more she finally decided, she was going to be strong and independent. She didn't need a man, she had her mama, her Kamal chachu and Krishna and Gunn. She could deal. She finally left her room with purpose ready to handle whatever life threw at her.
Parvati smiled at seeing her daughter finally snap out of her depression. She had tried to be there for her but there was nothing she could really do other than wait for Shruti to find herself again. It was hard for a parent to accept but she knew her bachi was strong enough to do it,
Meanwhile, a week later in another part of town⌠UD was getting irritated at listening to Mother India talk at him again. So he came home with a girl, what was the big deal? It's not like he was making her stay for breakfast. They needed to chill he thought.
"Prem" Prerna started "It's UD. U.D. How hard is that?" He asked, annoyed. "Prem beta, you're better than this" Prerna continued. UD in no mood to listen to more bhasaan walked out and decided he needed to go on a drive.
He ended up at some shopping mall deciding that a new hat to go with the suit he bought might cheer him up. Take his mind of the hassle of living with that family while waiting for his property, he was seriously considering if it was worth it.
He just finished parking his car and was amused to see two people arguing over their crashed cars. It only appeared to be a slight accident but the girl, who couldn't have been more than 5 feet, was laying into some guy who looked twice her size. He looked at her, she was pretty but not beautifully gorgeous, not his usual type, but she had a face that made him look twice. He didn't know why. The guy seemed to be on the losing end until the girl's friend dragged her away apparently sick of the arguing. The incedent left a smile on his face as he walked into the storeâŚ..
