Part 9 😉
Rishabh and Prerna drive off to Mumbai, Rishabh drops Prerna off at her place and goes to talk to his father, Mr. Bhanupratap Bajaj.
Bajaj senior is in the living room reading a newspaper and drinking his coffee, his wife, Suhasini (lolzz) is sitting and doing some knitting, lolzz.
Rishabh enters. They are surprised to see him back so soon from his vacation, New year's eve was last night, so they were definitely not expecting him this early.
R: Hi Ma, Hi Dad.
He goes and hugs em.
B: Hi beta, what's this? You are back so early, well anyway Happy New Year, son!!
R: Thanks Dad, Happy New Year Ma
S: Happy New Year Beta. Is everything alright? After so many years I am seeing you home on New Year's day!
R: Everything's fine Ma. Happy new year to you too
(He gives a kiss to his ma)
Rishabh just sits on the sofa, he smiles, it is an awkward moment, as his parents know he is upto something.
R: ok fine!
B: What?
R: You know that something is going on in my mind right?
S: Yes, I know that there is something going on, what is it, Rishabh?
B: Wah Ma bete mein kya connection hai!
S: Rishabh beta, what is it?
R: I wanna get married…
Suhasini is sooo happy, she can't believe that her son has finally decided to get married, not that he is old or anything but she has been wanting to get him married for the longest time. LOL!!
Bajaj senior is also happy.
S: Kya kaha beta, phir se kaho (ekta kapoor style)
R: I want to get married.
S: Aaj mein bahut khush hoon, meine tumhare liye ek ladki pasand kar lee hai, she is from a rich family, very down to earth and beautiful too. I will call the Agarwals right now..
R: Ma…
S: haan beta.
R: Meine ladki choon li hai!
Suhasini is a bit upset. BB is happy that Rishabh has fallen in love, that's what he thinks.
S: ladki choonli hai? Kaun hai woh!
R: you know her…
S: Prerna?
R: Hmm
S: Tum mazaak kar rahe ho beta, how can she get married into this house😡, she is a nice girl beta, but…
B: Suhasini, woh Prerna se pyar karta hai, I think that should be reason enough to get them married. Our son is in love! 😳😆
Rishabh ponders upon what his father just said, he thinks "Am I in love, with Prerna? " He snaps out of it and ignores it thinking to himself that he loves her but only as a friend, his best friend. 👍🏼
S: Lekin meine Savita se vaada kiya tha, ke uski beti mere ghar ki bahu banker aayegi. 😭
R: Ma, aur meine bhi Prerna se vaada kiya hai ke woh meri biwi banker iss ghar mein aayegi. 😳
S: toh tum nahin maanoge 😡
R: Maa, shaadi ke baad ek biwi uske pati ke naam se jaani jaati hai, Shaadi ke baad woh Prerna Rishabh Bajaj ban jayegi…meri biwi. Ma try and understand. 👏
Suhasini loves Prerna too, but didn't imagine her to be her daughter in law, but she too begins to think that Rishabh really loves Prerna and if his happiness lies with her, then that's all she could ask for. She gives in too easily.
S: thik hai beta, Agar tum aur Prerna apni zindagi ek saath guzaar na chahte ho, aur agar ek doosre ke saath mein hee tumhari khushi hai beta, toh mein bhi iss rishtey se khush hoon. Kyun aap kya kehte hai? 😆
BB: I loved that girl since the beginning, toh Prerna ke parents se kab baat karni hai Suhasini? 👍🏼
Rishabh is happy that his parents have agreed. Suhasini is about to say something when,,,
R: Thanks Ma, Dad!
He hugs em,🤗 and then says…
R: I want to get married soon as possible.
S: Itni jaldi kyun hai tumhe beta.
BB: Haan beta, I mean u come home early and then u tell us that u want to get married and now u are saying that you want to get married soon as possible?
R: So what's wrong in that.
BB: There is nothing wrong, but such a drastic change, I mean you were a man who used to tell me that u didn't believe in marriage and now…
R: Well dad, I have changed my opinion about marriage…and as far as getting married ASAP is concerned, I got accepted to Cornell for the Spring Semester which is in 3 months, Prerna and I want to get married before that and plus our company in America is gonna be inaugurated soon… so before all this I wanna get married, so Prerna and I can move to America till my MBA is done and the company develops. That's it, nothing more to it.
BB and Suhasini are convinced with his son's explanation.
BB: Thik hai, fair enough…son, we will meet Prerna's parents soon.
S: Aaj hee chalte hai.
BB: Aaj? Is it ok with the Sharmas? I mean we didn't even tell them that we will be going to their place.
R: it's fine dad, they are wonderful people. They don't think about such formalities, I will call Prerna and let her know.
BB: Well, sounds good, you know what, if everything works out…we will all go out to dinner. The Sharmas and the Bajajs, an alliance in the making…
They laugh.
R: Ma u like Prerna na, I mean, I want both her and you to be happy!
S: I love Prerna beta, she is a very sweet girl. Woh mera bahut khayal rakhegi. Waise bhi for the past years, I have been watching her taking care of you, but I didn't know that you both love each other… I failed to recognize. But yes, I am happy as long as you are happy. Don't worry beta, I couldn't have been happier.
Rishabh and his Ma hug.
R: Thanks Ma!
Rishabh goes and hugs his dad too.
R: Thanks dad, you both are the best parents ever!!
BB: Congrats son, Cornell is tough to get in, but u did it!!
R: Aakhir beta kiska hoon.
S: this New Year is proving to be so auspicious.
BB: Indeed.
R: Well I will go freshen up, I am real hungry!
S: Lunch is ready, after so many days we will have lunch together, otherwise you are always busy!
R: hmmm..well I will be right back.
Rishabh goes to his room.
He goes to take a shower, after he is out, he wears his kurta pajama, and calls Prerna.
Prerna is lost in her thoughts, she is not thinking about Anurag 🤢at all, but is thinking about Rishabh.😳 Despite the fact, that she had been going out with Anurag for 6 months she had known Rishabh inside and out for the past 6 years. She realizes that the person she is in love with is not Anurag 🤢but Rishabh😳. She hates herself right now for taking the step of losing her virginity to a guy who betrayed her, she thinks that all this time, what she thought was love was not love. Her love❤️ was right in front of her eyes, and she didn't recognize it. A guy who is ready to marry her so that she is not humiliated is love, a guy who cares for her more than anything else in the world is love, a guy who makes her laugh 😆😆😆make fun of her, 😳😳😳but at the same time doesn't mean to hurt her feelings is love, a guy who cries 😭😭when she cries is love, all the good moments she spent with Rishabh just come to her mind, and she cries. She realizes that Rishabh was upset because may be somewhere along the line he loves her too, and she doesn't care whether he loves her or not, because she has fallen in love with Rishabh Bajaj. ❤️🤗
Rishabh is calling her for the 10th time now and is frustrated, he leaves her a voicemail.
" Prerna, pick up the damn phone, this is like my 10th call to u, and I don't like calling people all the time, my parents have agreed to our marriage, aur hum sab aaj shaam 6 bajje tumhare ghar par aa rahe, if everything works out, which I am sure it will… coz ur parents love me, hahahaha, but yea if everything works out hum sab dinner ke liye chalenge , ok so whenever you get the message…just call me back, mom is very happy…my parents love u!!"
She is very happy to hear the voicemail, it makes her smile, and the fact that Rishabh has gone back to his cute loving self, has relieved her a bit. Even though she was glad to hear the "my parents love you" part she was hoping to hear, I love you from Rishabh. She knows it will happen soon but the thought that she is carrying Anurag's baby, is making her feel bad about herself. She just wants to erase that moment of her life, but can't.
She calls Rishabh!
R: Hi Prerna ji, aap ne voice mail suna? 😆
P: Haan Suna, Mr. Bajaj. 😳
R: Toh aapka khayal hai. 😉
P: Bahut khub, (she starts crying, out of nowhere, I know) 😭😭😭
R: Kya hua Prerna, what happened now? Meine kya kiya? 😕
P: I am sorry Rishabh!
R: Sorry for what? oh no, Prerna not again.
P: Rishabh I feel like I am cheating you, tum apni zindagi mere wajaise ….
R: Prerna Rishabh Bajaj…how does it sound.? I think it s very classy. I am lovin it, tumhe kaise lag raha? 😆
P: I think it was meant to be.
R: see you got your answer, Prerna whatever mistake you have done, think of it as it was meant to be. Whatever is happening right now between the two of us is meant to be. Don't think too much. Prerna u know me, if I don't like something, I am open about it, especially to you, I am fine with this marriage…trust me.
P: I will be waiting, and yea my parents love you too. (hehehehe) 😳😳
R: I know!! Ok Preru I am hungry. Talk to u later 😆
P: Preru eewwwwwwwwww, don't call me that ever again. 😆
R: Preru it is, bye Preru see you in the evening, tata 😉
Rishabh laughs, and so does Prerna
R: Nice to hear you laugh, bye!! 😃
P: Bye Rishu!! 😛😳
R: yea bye! 😆
Prerna is now relieved, she is happy and goes to talk to her parents. Obviously they are happy, and they didn't really like Anurag. So the truth about her pregnancy is not yet revealed to anybody yet but the two of them.
