Rishabh and Prerna are dancing to the music, right now its just music there are no words, just the Kya pyar karogi music playing in the back ground…their signature music guys. Rishabh and Prerna feel this bond with each other but shrug it off thinking of it as the close friendship that they share nothing more. Slowly the music changes to a fast paced song (u choose) and then Rishabh and Prerna are dancing like they are the best, I mean they dance so well. They just dance the night away, and now it's the countdown to New Year! Rishabh takes Prerna away from all the noise and hungama and takes her outside. The stars are shining bright, fire crackers are in the air and its only a minute to New Year 2007. Rishabh ties a band around Prerna's eyes and takes her outside.
P: Rishabh yeh kya kar rahe ho!
R: Kuch nahin u will see
P: how can I see with this band on yaar
R: wait 30 seconds
Rishabh and Prerna are counting 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, and the moment they yell 1.
Rishabh takes off her band and asks her to look up in the sky
It said
HAPPY NEW YEAR PRERNA, with the gleaming golden color out of the firecrackers, the sheer beauty of the sight bought tears in Prerna's eyes. She looked at Rishabh and said
P: Thank you RIshabh, Happy New Year!
They hug.
P: iss eye band ki kya zaroorat thi?
R: Aise hee
P: Kya? Aise hee?
R: haan I just thought that I should fool you into thinking that there is something big waiting for u, and u did.
P: well it was big; it was the sweetest thing RIshabh!
R: Well I try…So what is your new year's resolution?
P: Hmmm…I am perfect I don't think I need to make one.
RIshabh bursts into laughing
P: What's so funny?
R: Nothing! Come on let's go in.
Suddenly Prerna faints, Rishabh is walking ahead and looks behind and sees Prerna lieing on the floor in pain. He rushes to her and with her head on his lap tries to wake her up.
He is completely shocked, he doesn't waste time and rushes to the car and drives to the hospital. He surely doesn't yell baba, dekho prerna ko kya hua (Ahem, someone else did that when prerna faints during her pregnancy and delivery, remember!!, LOLz).
Rishabh finally reaches the emergency services at the hospital with Prerna in his arms and the hospital nurses immediately take her in. Rishabh is so worried, for the first time he is so serious. The doctor examines her, and comes out.
Rishabh immediately goes to the doctor and puts his hand forth for a handshake and introduces himself
R: Doctor, Rishabh Bajaj- Prerna's …
D: Husband right? Well congratulations Mr. Bajaj u r gonna be a father.
The doctor smiles and seeing the blank look on Rishabh's face thinks that he is just too happy and says…
D: the test results are still to come out but I am pretty sure that ur wife is pregnant. Well we will find out for sure in about half an hour.
R: Can I meet her?
D: Ofcourse, go right in.
R: thank u doctor.
The doctor and Rishabh shake hands again and the doc leaves, while Rishabh is still in disbelief. He is not happy, he is disappointed in his friend. He goes to see her, he is hurt for the obvious reasons. He has tears in his eyes that he tries to hide, for the first time Rishabh feels so emotional about something. (just like he reacted when Kasak was pregnant, but that was his daughter, this is his friend, totally different situations, but the way he cares just melts ur heart).
Rishabh goes in, Prerna sees him and smiles. Prerna sees a totally different Rishabh in front of her. One that has the pain in his eyes, Prerna knows that she is pregnant, but doesn't have a clue that he is sad for this.
P: Tum itne dukhi kyun ho? I am alright yaar.
R: Hmmm… (doesn't want to say anything, he just wanted to see if she is okay)
P: Kya hua Rishabh? I haven't seen u like this before.
R: U know that u r …
P: pregnant right?
Rishabh nods.
P: yes, is that why u r so dukhi? (she asks him with a smile).
R: I am not dukhi, but I am disappointed
P: disappointed?
R: U won't understand Prerna, how I feel.
P: Why not, I am happy and I am sure Anurag will be too, we love each other and we are going to get married. Rishabh don't worry everything will be fine!
R: yup everything will be fine (he smiles and holds her hand, and sees her smile, he is convinced that she is going to be alright, especially when he is by her side).
P: Rishu…
R: Hmm?
P: please tum iss baaremien kissi ko bhi mat batana…mumma papa ko bhi nahin
R: thik hai.
Rishabh is still very disappointed. He will be very serious with her from now on…until let's see…hehehehhehehe
P: Thanks
R: I am not doing u a favor Prerna. The only reason I am not gonna tell em is because I don't want to hurt them, I don't want them to go through what I am feeling right now, just imagine, I am an outsider…who just knows u for a 6 years or so…but ur parents who know u all ur life, they would be devastated. Prerna no matter how hard I am trying to convince myself that its cool what has happened…I can't…u should have waited till the wedding.
Prerna is hurt by his words, she thinks that her Rishabh who always made her laugh and cry for a totally different reason has managed now to actually make her cry for a whole different reason, his words hit her hard. Tears start falling…even though he hasn't really said anything rude! Lolzzz…
R: Well what has happened has happened, Anurag I guess is a nice guy and he genuinely loves u, but if he does something wrong ...toh Rishabh Bajaj se boora koi nahin hoga.
P: I trust Anurag more than myself Rishabh, (she wipes her tears off). Aur tum toh aise baat kare rahe ho jaise tumne kabhi aisa nahin kiya.
R: Kya aisa?
P: u should have waited till your wedding too (she is so funny).
R: I am Prerna and I thought u would too, but boy was I wrong…(he is about to leave when)
P: ek minute Rishabh!
Rishabh turns around and see this Prerna full of anger…
P: jab mujhe tumhari zaroorat hai toh tum mujhe sirf hurt kar raho instead of making me feel its okay, u r just making me feel like I have committed a big mistake. tumhe kya lagta hai ke mein apne aap se disappointed nahin hoon but I am making myself feel ke it's the baby of the man who I love so nothing is going to wrong, Rishabh why aren't u supporting me, if this is the way it's gonna go then I don't need u.
Rishabh just looks at her with a look of hurt that says a thousand words, he just smirks and leaves the room. Prerna realizes that what she said was wrong, he is the one who actually cares for her, but his way of showing it is so unconventional. He is being rude but he doesn't mean it in terms of hurting her. Prerna feels guilty.
