This fan fiction has three main leads Rishabh Bajaj, Prerna Sharma, and Anurag Basu. Now the three of them are in their 20s and go to the same college.

Rishabh Bajaj: Suave, handsome, every womans dream, sharp, loving, adorable, intelligent, insightful, funny, and his outright attitude is misinterpreted to be rude, but these are just a few adjectives that describe him. He is someone who gets along with everybody, surely not an introvert. He is the life of the college. He is great in sports, studies and above all business. His father, Bhanupratap Bajaj is proud to have a son like him, who insisted that he would join his father in his business despite all the studies and sports that keeps him occupied. He is friends with everybody but his best friend is Prerna Sharma. He has never looked at her from any other way but as his closest friend. He cares too much for her. As far as his love life is concerned, he doesnt believe in love. He does date but his girl changes every other day. Yea he is cool!!
Prerna Sharma: Very beautiful, funny, loving, adorable, intelligent and is very down to earth. She considers Rishabh her best friend, and Anurag Basu is her boyfriend.

Anurag Basu: he is an introvert, more like the Anurag Basu of Kasauti, he is sweet, and he cares way too much about his family. He is good looking too. Anurag and Prerna love each other. Anurag doesnt like Rishabh, and neither does Rishabh like Anurag but they tolerate each other for Prernas sake.
1st Part
Rishabh is having breakfast when his cell phone rings and its Prerna.
R: Haan bol
P: Good morning Rishabh!
R: Yea Good morning (he is gorges his breakfast, since he is really hungry)
P: What are you doing?
R: trying to eat!
P: Okay, umm Rishu, could u do me a favor.
R: What now?
P: Pick me up na please!
R: Kyun tere uss Anurag Basu ko kya hua, ask him to pick u up na, (he is too busy eating)
P: Well he was gonna come butI wasnt ready and he had class.
R: Shit man u always do this Prerna.
P: What did I do to you? Bhaav kyun kha raha hai. If you dont want to then dont come.
R: Ok fine, thanks see you at college. Tata bye bye. (he is pretending to hang up)
P: Ruk Rukbut why cant u pick me up yaar. Mere liye itna bhi nahin kar sakte tum?
R: No I cant. I have to pick Rhea up
P: Whose this Rhea?
R: A new chic, she is damn hott.
P: You think she is hott, oh puh lease.she is more like nott
R: Jealousy man!! I am done eating breakfast so I will leave now. See ya.

In this whole conversation, Rishabh reaches Prernas house and she doesnt even realize it.
P: Dont talk to me, anymore. You can ask that Rhea for the homework and help and all, u only use me, Rishabh Bajaj!!
R: Chal chal, come down fast. I am outside.
Prerna runs to the window and sees him there, looking handsome as always. He smiles with his cute dimples. Awwwwwwww. He has his glares on and is dressed in white shirt blue jeans. Prerna is wearing her regular salwar kameez thingi. She is looking nice. Prerna runs down and sits in the car with a big smile on her face.
P: thanks Rishu, u r so sweet.
R: Dont sweet talk me, sit in the back.
PRerna is mad! She is like how rude can he get.
P: Why should I sit in the back.
R: Ummm I told you na, Rhea ko pick up karna hai.
P: bhaad mein jaye Rhea. I am sitting in the front
(Prerna knows that there is no Rhea, he is just fooling around with her)
Rishabh just ignores her and starts the car.
P: Rishabh what are u doing tonight?
R: Work, why?
P: Nothing (its prernas birthday, Anurag wished her and is going to take her out for dinner, Prerna wants to invite Rishabh but the fact that her best friend, forgot about her birthday hurts her).
R: Actually I have to work from 3 to 8 tonight, and then have to study too. Ek kaam karogi?
P: What? (she is mad, coz he forgot her birthday)
R: Aare ghussa kyun hoti ho, favor sunne se pehle?
P: Bol na, if it has anything to do with those stupid girls na, I am not.
R: Prerna, I want your suggestion on this project that I am doing at work.
P: Haan toh u want me to suggest?
R: Yea, so meet me in my office at 8 ok?
P: Nah not today Rishi!
R: Why?
P: Because Anurag and I are going out
R: Oh ok, so u wanted me to come with you tonight on your date with him.
P: When did I say that ?
R: Then why the heck did u ask me, what am I doing tonight?
P: Bas aise hee.
R: So where are you guys planning to go.
P: dont know Anu says its a surprise.
R: Man, you guys are going out for 6 months now and still surprises. Great! (He thinks Anurag is too emotional)

P: (she was gonna remind him but chooses not to).
R: now why was that question for? Anyway so we cant meet tonight right? I had to present to dad the project tomorrowso I wanted your opinion, since you are very honest with me. But I guess that cant happen. THik hai chalega. You enjoy your date, okay!!
College arrives and they are about to go there classes when Prerna really wanted to spend her birthday with Rishabh too, but
P: Ok fine!
R: What?
P: I will come at your place tonight, okay?
R: But what about ur date.
P: I am sure it will be over by 9pm, Anu has to go out of town tomorrow anyways
R: Toh bhaav kyun kha rahi thi. Alright then see you at 9:30 ok! I will drop u back home then. Take care.
Anurag comesand hugs Prerna. Rishabh waves at Anurag and leaves.
A: Hi Sweetheart, Happy Birthday!
P: Thanks! So whats the special surprise.
A: Well, you will seeanyway what favor did Rishabh ask you again. I am telling, he is using you.
Prerna just ignores his comment and they walk to the class, holding hands!!
2nd PartANurag and Prerna are in class sitting next to each other, enjoying each others company. Rishabh is also in the same class but is still not in class. Prerna is annoyed, she really cares about Rishabh, she hates this carelessness on Rishabhs part. The professor has arrived, everybody is in class, besides Rishabh Bajaj.
A: Prerna I am gonna miss you over the weekend.
P: I will miss you too, but I am happy atleast you are here for my birthday
A: I know, I am too, your first birthday together.
Prerna looks at him with all her love and he smiles.
Prerna thinks ek Anurag hai, he has known me for only a year now and remembered my birthday and ek mera dost, mera sabse acha dost, who forgot. I never forget his birthday ever in these 6 years and he didnt forget either, but today he really did. May be something is bothering him, or he is just too busy.
Rishabh on the other hand is not in class because on their drive to college, realizes that its Prernas birthday. He saw that disappointed on her face, and the moment she asked him what is he doing tonight he got it! He goes to find a nice gift for his Prerna. He goes to Prernas house
Prerna sends an SMS to Rishabh
Where the hell are you, todays lecture is so important, we are reviewing for the exam, idiot!
Rishabh gets the SMS and responds back:
I am busy with Rhea
Prerna gets annoyed when she reads the SMS and bangs the phone on her desk.
A: Kya hua?
P: Kuch nahin, Rishabh is telling me that he is busy with Rhea, which is why he is not in class, Rhea already has a bf, I know herbut RIshabh, I dont know, I am tired of him now!!
A: Toh tum kyun itna excite ho rahi ho. Usse pata hai ki tum jaisi uski dost ho, jo usse help karegi pass hone mein. You will happily help him out, give him your work, help him with flirting with girlsNow lets concentrate warna tum Rishabh ko help nahin kar paogi. (he gets mad and looks at the professor and listens intently)
P: Ok baba, sorry, I wont get excited.
She holds his hand and he smiles.
Rishabh is at Prernas house talking to her parents
R: Uncle ji namaskar!
PP (Prernas Papa): Aare Rishabh beta, tum yahan college nahin gaye.
R: college jaakar aaya, Prerna ko choddkar.
PP: (he laughs) lekin tum kyun nahi lecture attend kar rahe ho?
R: Uncle aaj Prerna ka birthday hai and I forgot.
PP: Kaise dost ho tum?
R: Haan I know, but aunty kahan hai?
PM (prernas mother): Mein yahan hoon RIshabh!
R: Aunty, good aap ghar par milgaye, now jaldi se mujhe bataiye, Prerna ko kya chahiye birthday ke liye. Mein toh bhool hee gaya, and u also didnt remind me.
PM: Wah, now its my fault.
R: Aur nahin toh kya, but now forget it, u tell me what does she want.
PM: usse sirf tumhare saath uska birthday spend karna hai bas!
R: she told u this?
PM: Yea, and she was mad ke u didnt call and wish her, isliye she called u to pick her up, hopin u would remember then.
R: I did na!!
PM: thik hai, so where are u takin her tonight?
R: Every birthday I used to take her out to dinner and her fav restaurants, this time, I called her home, so that she can help me with my project. Kyun kaisa hai idea?
PP: Bahut khoob bete.
R: I know uncle, waise she wont come till 9:30
PM: itne late, kyun?
R: Woh uss Anurag ke saath date aur birthday celebrate karne jaa rahi hai, so I cant take her out to dinner na, she was asking me what I was doing tonight, but I didnt want to break her heart by saying I dont wanna come. I mean Anurag ke saath I cant even talk. Well forget it, mein apne dost ka birthday akele celebrate karna chahta hoon, u guys can join too.
PM: Nahin beta tum dono jao, I am going to Panchemeshwar with your Uncle
R: What? u guys didn't tell me!
PP: well now u know, take care of my daughter, okay?
R: She takes care of me, what will i take care of her, but i will try.
PM and PP laugh.
R: Chalo then i am going, don't tell Prerna i was here. Okay?
PP and PM: we won't!! Promise.
R: good and enjoy ur panchemeshwar trip, (he winks at them, u know what i mean)
Rishabh puts his glares back on and waves them goodbye.
Rishabh rushes to the college. Man he is so hott.
3rd Part
Rishabh comes back to the college and he enters the classroom, he is 45 minutes late and the class is about to end in 15 minutes. Prerna cant believe him. Rishabh looks at her gives him the cute smile. ANurag is annoyed too, he thinks how can a guy be so carefree and enter class 45 minutes late. The professor is kinda mad, in front of the whole class he questions him
Prof: Mr. Bajaj!
R: Yes sir!
Pr: do u realize, the class is almost over?
R: yes sir.
Pr: Why did you even bother coming to class?
R: Sir, we are reviewing, so I had to.
Pr: 45 minutes late? I dont understand, u barely attend my lectures, and u still manage to pass my class with first class. How? Share with us your secret Mr. Bajaj.
R: I am just smart, no big deal Sir.
Prerna is thinking: Why Rishu, why do u always get in trouble? Now this Rhea also wont be able to help u here. Good!!
Anurag to Prerna:
See, finally the professor noticed, otherwise this Rishabh thinks that he can just come and leave as he may please.
P: Relax Anu, ab tum kyun excited ho rahe ho?
Anurag smiles: yea u r right! Lets watch this, I bet this is gonna be the last 15 minutes of class.
P: hahahha, yea!!
Back to Rishu and Prof.
Pro: It is a big deal, everybody else manages to come to class and still not do so well, come on share with us, how u manage to get good grades, Rishabh help your fellow mates out. How do u study? Come on give them some tips.
R: Sure, Sir. I just read the book. And of course my best friend, Prerna Sharma helps me out, she makes sure I do good, without her I am lost!
Pro: Aah!! Nice. Ok sit down, Mr. Bajaj, u are lucky to have a friend like her.
R: Sure am sir! (he winks at Prerna)

Saying this he dismisses the class.
Anurag, Prerna, and Rishabh stand outside of class
A: Rishabh tum aaj bhi late, I mean tum toh college mein hee thay na, phir? You cant rely on Prerna all the time, she also has a life. Dont use her like that.
P: Anurag, what are u saying? I am helping him doesnt mean he is using me. Relax Anu.
R: Well Anurag, you r right, I cant rely on her all the time, but its a habit, aadat hogayi hai.
A: toh isss aadat ko todd do.
R: Listen Anurag I am not interested in changing my good habits. If prerna doesnt wanna help me, that's cool. but why are you getting all hyper, chillax dude.
Just then a girl calls Rishabh, its a girl called Meneka
M: Hey Rishabh!!
R: Hiiiiii Meneka! Whats up, lookin nice !!
M: Aww thanks Rishabh, you are looking good too, as usual.
Prerna and Anurag are like not again, Prerna laughs at Anurag getting frustrated.
R: Listen guys, I gotta go, got a soccer practice, I will catch yall later, lets go meneka
He puts his arm around Meneka and waves goodbye to prerna and anurag!
P: Rishu kabhi nahi sudhrega, he is really nice, Anurag pleasehe is like that, and I like him like that, u know he is always there when I need him, all the time, he is my only true friend.
A: Well yea, I am tolerating him only coz of youwell anyway lets go your special surprise is waiting for you.
P: alright cant wait.
A: hahahaah, ummm hope u like it though
P: Sweetheart its the thought that counts.
She holds Anurags hand and they go to his car. Anurag and Prerna sit in the car and Anurag takes her to a nice restaurant, but before that he just stops in the middle of the road and asks Prerna to get out, he then goes to the trunk of his car and it has 23 wraped gifts, for every birthday he had missed of hers.
A: are you ready?
P: Haan Anu, come on, bahut intezaar karvaya.
He opens it
Prerna is shocked
A: Prerna, yeh saare gifts who peechle 23 saalon ke liye, jab meine tumhara bday miss kiya.
Prerna just hugs him tight, and cries. Anurag hugs her back and her duppatta blows in the wind and covers their face. Anurag takes it off and they look into each others eyes
A: So did you like it?
P: Yea, I love it. Idea use kiya hai pehle lekin its just sooo beautiful. Thank you Anu!!
A: your welcome Prerna. Ab ghar jakar khol lena, I mean you may not like them.
P: if I dont then I will return them
A: Kya?
P: Mazaak kar rahi hoon Anu!!
A: okay Well, now its 8pm now, I have a 10 clock flight to Kolkotta. So tell me dinner hogaya, cake bhi kaata, gifts bhi diye, now whats next?
P: Well did you do ur packing?
A: nope! I was planning to do that when I get home.
P: Well why dont u do that now, waise bhi agar tum late hogaye, toh u will blame me.
A: No I wont, waiseyou are right, I need to head home, Mom and Dad are waiting. Tum apna khayal rakhna Prerna. So where do I drop you, home na?
P: yea drop me home.
A: ok so any plans with your mom n dad?
P: no they are going to panchemeshwar

Anurag drops Prerna home
A: Good night and take care, I will call you when I get back!

4th Part
Prerna gets home, and finds that her parents are about to leave. They apologize for not being here for her birthday, but they promise to celebrate it when they are back. Prerna is home alone, she is so bored. She knows she is going to meet Rishabh Bajaj, the man who manages to make her laugh and make her feel very comfortable, so she gets ready! Its almost 9 pm.
Prerna gives Rishabh a buzz
P: Hi Rishabh
R: Haan bolo Prerna, whats up!
Prerna is still mad at him for not remembering her birthday.
P: Kuch nahin
R: Come on down I am waiting
P: What? I thought I was supposed to come to your place.
R: Well not anymore, chal na niche aa

R: Hurry up!!
Rishabh is wearing his regular cool outfitsimple yet stylish!
Prerna comes in and sits in the car.
R: Wow lookin good Prerna! I am not Anurag, u dont have to dress up for me.

R: Ok well listen today is Friday night and I dont feel like working! Lets go have some fun

He laughs
P: He is very sweet, and considerate. He cares about me, and loves me, unfortunately he is gone for the weekend and so now I am stuck with you
R: oh madam ke tevar toh dekho, ek toh ho ek dum borin uppar se naatak. Wah!! Agar mere saath weekend nahin guzzar na hai toh mat guzaro, zabardasti kisne ki hai, infact you are doin me a favor by not wanting to spend the weekend with me. At least I can actually enjoy myself. P: Stop this nautanki, so u enjoying ur weekend means spending it with them stupid girls. You are using me Rishabh, I am your friend when you need something, and other times
R: other times you are with Anurag, when was the last time u and I spent time together, I have to find excuses to meet you up or call you. You are so involved with Anurag, look I dont blame you, coz u love him, he loves you but u cant blame me ok!!
Prerna is shocked to hear this from Rishabh, she realizes that he is right, they never really got the time together. She never did give him time for the last 6 months.
P: I am sorry Rishu, I didnt know u felt this way, I mean I didnt know us not hanging out together made a difference to you.
R: Well it did, I missed you so much! Now enough of this senti talk, I am hungry, u had dinner?
P: Yea well but we can stop by for you.
R: No its ok.
They reach nariman point and Rishabh stops the car, he sees the sandwich waala

R: toh pehele kyun nahin kahan acche restaurant gaye hotte
P: no I like this its so calm, serene, the sound of waves sooo soothing
R: ok thik hai thik haiek minute mein abhi aaya.

Rishabh goes to the car gets out the cake, candle and the bottle of champagne and a gift. The gift is none other than a video I-Pod and he sets it all up at the beach at 10 pm at night. He then comes back to bring Prerna

Rishabh just walks off, Prerna comes running and she holds his hand.

P: I am sorry yaar, but I should be mad at you.

Prerna looks there and she sees candles lit..Rishabh takes her there
Prerna looks at the bottle of champagne, cake, n the wrapped gift, her eyes well up with tearsshe looks at Rishu.
R: Happy Birthday Prerna, thanks for being there!!
P: thank you Rishu, this is sooooooo sweet
R: well yea I tried.
P: Who reminded you?
R: No one did! Actually you did, I did forget, but today when u asked me what was my plan for tonight, I guessed it was your birthday, I am not stupid. Waise tumhara chehra bhi bahut utra utra sa tha. I am sorry prernaI forgot.
P: its okay Rishu, I am glad u remembered, better late than never.
R: yea now lets cut the cake, come on fast
P: Ok baba, wow sab preparation ke saath aaye ho, wow!! I am impressed.

She thanks him for the best birthday evershe is happy that she could enjoy it both with her love and her friend. What a perfect end of a perfect bday with the perfect friend!!
