I won't blame Bani.....maybe it was Jai's mistake ......he should divorce her,set her free, marry someone else and live happily ever after .....now please don't kill me for saying this 😆, I'm not angry with Bani but I feel bad for Jai 😭 😭 😭poor Jai 😭 ....nice update....please continue....

Whats wrong with bani? I thought she got married for her dad. Now isn't she thinking what will he feel about her getting divorce. Why doesn't she give Jay a chance? Why did she get married if she wants divorce right away. Jay is right in that he shouldn't have gotten closer to his family

Hi all there. Sorry it was long time ago I had updated but what to do I am so busy and when I am free I love reading other FFs. Thank u all so much for ur lovely comment. I hope I will update next Monday if my manager wont call me. So here u go.

CHAPTER 8

One fine evening when Jai was working in his study he suddenly called Bani.

"Bani! Bani! Jara upar ana"

Bani was with masi cutting vegetables when they heard calling. Bani was really surprised because it was first time calling her in front of whole family or should say talking to her after many days.

"Bani tujhe Jai bulara hain. Yaha khadi khadi kya ghur rahi hain jana na"

Bani went to his study and there she found Jai looking outside the window. Feeling her presence Jai said her to take seat but didn't turn back.

"Bani kya tum sach main hi Divorce chahati ho?" said Jai without turning.

She got confused listening him but before she could answer he turned and said

"Kya tum is saadi ko ek mauka nahin de sakti?" Now Bani understood what he was saying but didn't reply back. Watching her silent he spoke again.

"Bani main janta nahin ke tumhare saath kya huwa ki tumhe saadi aur pyaar par se biswaas uthgae. Main tumhe roj mere pariwaar walo se baat karte huwe dekhta hoon . mere samne wali bani aur us bani main bahut frak hain. Mere samne tum khulne se inkar karti ho. Main nahin janta kyu lekin mujhe lagta hain agar hum kosish kare to is ristey ko safal (success) kar sakte. Mere saath bhi ek hasda huwa lekin waqt ke saath main usse ubhar aaya aur jab tumhe dekha to laga sayad tum se main apni jindagi kushi ke saath gujar sakta hoon. Kya tum hamare ristey ek mauka dogi Bani?" aked Jai wth lots of hope but Bani, she didn't reply. She was just standing there with her head bent downwards fiddling with her pallu.

Jai saw this and knew her answer. He took long breath, turn back to window and said " Maine lawyer se baat ki hain lekin abhi hamare saadi ko sirf 15 din huwa hain isliye hame divorce ke liye kum se kum che ya nau (6 or 9) mahine intazaar karne padhenge"

"Lekin tumhe dar ne koi baat nahin main tumhe itne din apne saath nahin rakhunga. Tun janti ho masi ko dil ki bimari hain wo sadma bardas nahin karsati aur meri saadi tutne se sabse basa dhakka unhe lagega. Islie main tumse ye request karna chahtab huke masi ke chandigarh jane tak agar tum ruk jati ?"

"Masi kab jaengi?" asked bani in low voice.

"Pata nahin. Lekin wo do mahine se jyada nahin rukeengi. Pehle mere saath rehti lekin jab se main apne depression se bahar aaya masi sirf saal mein ek ya do baar ati hain. Abto saadi hone ke baad ana aur kam hojaye. Tumhe baad ki fikar karne ki jarurat nahin sirf abhi do mahine ke liye rukjao"

"thik hain" repied bani.

It was long time since anyone spoke jai was looking outside and Bani was waiting for his reply. As Jai didn't speak anything Bani went out of the study.

Dinner was very quite affair. Anu and Sahil had gone to pub, Aditya and Jigyasa had party to attend and Dadi and Masi had gone for some Pooja. It was just Bani, Jai and Ranveer. It was occasional talk between Bani and Ranveer or Jai and Ranveer but complete silence between Jai and Bani. After dinner Ranveer went to his room wishing both good night. Jai went to garden to smoke, his daily ritual before sleeping and Bani went to her room. After sometime when Jai entered to study to sleep there he found a paper lying under the glass. He picked up and read.

Masi ko hamare ristey ke bare main sak hone laga hain. Parso ke din sayad unho ne apko subah study main se nikalte dekha tha. Mujhse puch rahi thi ki hum dono main jhagda to nahin huwa. Maine us waqt kuch bahana banake tal diya. Magar phir na kar saku. aap masi ke khatir hi sahi yaha kamre main ake sojaega plz. Maine bed ke left side liya hain agar aapko bed main mere sath sone main problem hain to uthadijeyega main couch main jake sojaungi lekin aap mat sona. Aak ke liye chhota hai. Please.

Bani

Jai folded the letter back, picked his pillow and comforter and went to his room. There he saw his wife sleeping uncomfortably at the farthest end of bed. He slowly went near the bed, pulled Bani a bit at the middle, lied down under the comforter facing other side and switched off the light. As the room became dark Bani slowly opened her eyes, looked at Jai and went back to sleep.

With the beautiful chirping of birds and disturbing lights of sun Bani woke up. First thing she saw was her husbands sleeping face few centimetres far from her. She stared at him for some time and went to shower.45 minutes later she came outside wearing a beautiful henna colour sari, rubbing her water dripping hair. She had forgotten that Jai was there so came inside as other day but when entered she saw Jai wide awake looking at her. Both of them felt uncomfortable on each other presence and averted their gaze. Bani slowly went toward dressing table to brush her hair whereas Jai went toward Bathroom.

When Jai came out of bathroom Bani was nowhere to be seen but his clothes were neatly placed on the bed. His wallet, watch, pen and cufflinks were placed on the dressing table. He got dressed and came downstairs to have breakfast. When Bani saw him wearing the clothes laid by her she felt happy. He sat on the chair; Bani came and slowly served him and sat next to him.

"Mamaji aap ko pata hain aaj kya hain?" asked anu.

"Kya hain anu?" said jai.

"Mamaji aaj 14^th feb hain Valentines day. Apko nahin pata. Aaj apko pura din mami ke saath gujarna hain"

Both Jai and Bani looked at each other but soon turned away.

"Anu tum janti ho na office main kitna kaam hain. Main kaha pura din ghar main beth sakta hoon.

"Dekha masi main bol rahi thi na mamaji koi na koi bahna dhun lenge islie mamaji humne aap aur mami ke lie ek restaurant me table book karke rakha hain. Aap saam ko aeye aur mami ko lejae. Koi bahana nahin chalega. Kyun Masi?"

"Ha Anu thik kehrahi hain"

Jai knew he couldn't argue here so said "Mujhe koi problem nahin aap pehle Bani se to puch lijiye"

"Bani ko kya problem rahegi? To tya raha saam ko saat baje tu Bani ko lene aa raha hain"

Both Jai and Bani reluctantly agreed. After that Jai went to his office and Bani went to kitchen to put dishes back. Masi sighed looking both of them. She wasn't a blind that she can't see the growing distance between her munna and Bahu. Even though they pretend to be a normal husband and wife, their eyes tell her everything.
