" Please, Mr. Walia I want to go with Nattu to see the childern off at the airport." tried Bani one more time as Jai and Adam were leaving for the airport.

" No Bani, you know you can't. We can't take any chances with you being there."

" But they aren't taking a commercial flight , they are taking the charter flight to Delhi and will then take a regular flight , its not like I will be at the airport." she continued, knowing that he wouldn't change his mind.

" Mr. Walia, if I may interrupt...let her go, I will be more comfortable if she is not alone at home, what if Meera decides to come here while we are out." finally Adam stepped in, as he realised they were leaving Bani open to danger, if Meera decided to do something.

" Yeah you are right, why didn't I think of this before. Thanks. But Bani will you be ok, letting the children go, I hope you won't break down." Said Jai.

" I promise I will control myself, infact I won't even get off the car, I wont be able to see them go." She finished on a distressed note.

Jai and Adam reached the airport and were releived to see Meera there with Mohan and Ranveer waiting for them. Adam's assistant was already there.

" Sorry, we got held up in traffic." said Jai quickly moving into the airport.

" Jai, where are the childern" asked Meera.

" With Rano Meera, where else." and as if on cue his phone rang. " Yes Rano?...what? ....ok, ok clam down, can you wait till we can come and get the kids.....stop crying I can barely hear a word....what...ok , yeah you can...but what about their stuff....hmmm...hmmmm... ok take care, call me as soon as you get there. Take care. and now let me speak to Pushkar." he motioned to Meera to stay back as the others started moving inside..." Pushkar, don't worry everything will be ok, but are you sure you want to take the kids with you, I mean they will be a handful, would you like Meera to join you ok....no I can't leave here , I wish I could, but this deal is a bit tricky. ...tell you what as soon as we wrap up things here, Meera and I will join you. take care and let me know in case you need anything. ok. oh and once you get there, get Ganga to speak to us.Bye."

" Kya hua? what were they saying..why are you so upset, where are the children?" started Meera as soon as he disconnected.

" Pia's condition has worsened, she had a fall today. The doctors think she may not make it and she wants to see Rano and the kids one last time. Pushkar is taking them with him, we will probably join them tomorrow or day after , I hope its not too late then. Do you want to go ahead now?" He finished, hoping she would decline or else he would be in a soup.

" No, its ok I don't want you to be alone, we'll go together, I will talk to Ganga when they reach." replied Meera, happy that Pia would be out of the way soon, making her safe.

Hey welcome back...was eagerly waiting for the update..

So Rano n Kids are going to Mt.Abu and Meera doesnt have any suspicion till now..Great..Just hope no one happens to see the kids along with Pushy n Rano..mainly Meera n Mohan..

Part 17

Jai and Meera walked in to find Mohan and Adam in an animated discussion with some immigrations and airline officals while Ranveer and Adam's deputy stood back watching the whole thing.

On seeing Jai, Ranveer rushed over and said urgently " Mamaji, there seems to be some problem with Adam's travel papers and they won't let him travel today. Mohan, Jones and I are already checked in...what do you want us to do?"

" let me have a word with Adam and maybe we will have to postpone your trip." replied Jai and walked over to the group.

By the time he reached them , the discussion seemed to be over and the immigration and airlines officials walked away with a wave in Adam's direction.

" I don't beleive this, they didn't stamp the visa on my passport properly. Its there but I can't travel. This is so frustrating" started Adam as soon he saw Jai.

" Ok, lets go and resolve this , you guys can go after two/three days."

" No Mr.Walia, its not possible , I have a meeting with my investment board in 2 days and if we want to go ahead with this deal, the details have to be presented to them at the time. I would have had the discussions here, but my team has already flown in to Tokyo, because of the other ongoing projects." replied Adam, looking visibly upset.

" Can Jones, Mohan and Ranveer start the process there, we will get your travel papers sorted out tomorrow and you can join them maybe tomorrow night or the day after." replied Jai, repeating their agreed speech, but making it appear like he was thinking on his feet.

" I guess , that is what we will have to do. I wanted to close this deal myself...but I guess Jones' skills will be tested long before he bargained for? what say Jones" said Adam looking towards Jones.

" What can I say, you are the boss. But keep your phone near you I may need back up." replied Jones....trying to make light of the matter.

" Jai, they still have about an hour before take off, lets sit and go over the details...and in the meantime can you getsomeone to set an appointment for me at the Japanese counslate for tomorrow morning?" said Adam.

" Sure, why don't you guys walk to the coffee shop, I will just join you." said Jai.

He walked over to Meera and Mohan " Mohan, you take them to the coffee shop, I'll just see Meera off and then join you."

" Ok, bye Meera, take care. I'll see you soon." said Mohan as he hugged Meera, before walking towards Adam and the others.

" I can wait Jai"

" Nahi Meera, I dont know how long this will take, you go on home. I'll settle Adam in his hotel and then see you at home." he said as he held the car door open for he, motioning for the driver to go ahead.

When he walked into the coffee shop he saw Adam and Jones talking in one corner, while Ranveer was sitting alone. " Mohan's gone to the rest room and Adam is giving instructions to Jones I guess" said Raveer expecting Jai's query.


" Good, I needed to talk to you alone. Ranveer listen - you need to be very careful. The reason I am not coming on this trip is we are very close to catching Bani's killers, but we can't let anyone know yet. The police is not sure, but they suspect Mohan is in someway involved, so I need you to keep Mohan distracted and busy in Tokyo...and don't leave him alone for a minute and if you find anything fishy...you call me, don't take any chances. be very careful, you and nattu are the only ones that know and I want it to stay like that." said Jai, looking at Ranveer while keeping an eye on the door for Mohan to return.

" What! Mamaji, why didn't you say anything before? Mohan...Why would he want to harm Bani Mami...it doesn't make sense." said a shocked Ranveer. " what about atharva? any news there?" he asked as an after thought.

" I don't know Ranveer...i just don't know. But if it is as the police suspect I don't know what I will do. You have to be careful, I can't loose another child of mine." he finished , getting emotional, he didn't want to lie to Ranveer, but he had no choice.

" Mamaji, you have to be strong for all of us. We will get to whoever has done this. I will do as you say, but promise me you will take care of yourself and will let me know how things are going." replied Ranveer holding Jai's hand and pleading him like he used to as a child.

" I promise, now pull yourself together, Mohan's coming. So Ranveer as I was saying you can let Mohan focus on the details of our rights, while you work on the financials. Don't get cornered. Ah, Mohan, good you are here. I was telling Ranveer to let you lead the discussions for us, and also personally take charge of the legal aspects as you have done projects in the US in the past." said Jai.

" Sure, I justed wanted to check with you, what is the maximum we are willing to give out to them." asked Mohan.

" Honestly Mohan I want this project to work with Adam's company, but I will not compromise on the Majority stake. I want to be able to call the shots without having them impose restrictions on me. We will give them a place on the board with voting rights but the majority voting rights remain ours. The project will be headed by one of us and this is the part you will have to carefully incorporate in the contract." finsihed Jai.

" Yeah, I get your points" said Mohan as Adam and Jones joined them. " Time we made a move" said Jones.

After quick goodbyes, Jai and Adam stepped out and breathed a sigh of releif. Act one over, now to the next.

Nice update...like how Adam's departure is delayed. Love how Jai is making Mohan feel important, that should keep him busy in Japan and with Ranveer keeping tabs at least he is taken care of for a while.
