" How can she sleep? There must be something up her sleeve" he thought as he took his night clothes and walked towards the bathroom.
" I wish I hadn't promised Mohan not to do anything till he comes back...I so wanted to confront Jai today. Let him know that he can't fool me. If I can get that Bani out of his life I can certainly take care of this nurse." Meera fumed at her helpness, cursing her stupidity in calling her brother. The fool had no back bone and won't let her do anything.
As she heard the bathroom open she again pretended to be asleep...waiting for Jai's next move.
Before getting into bed he called Bani " I am ok...just called to say goodnight. go to sleep now"
" Not so fast ...tell me what happened , what did that witch say?" He chuckled at her response.
" Meera is sleeping....now you be a good girl and get some rest.......I love you...I will see u tomorrow......hmmmm dream of me...I know I will" he disconnected and moved towards his side of the bed. casting one last glance at Meera he went to sleep.
Next morning when he woke up he found Meera was missing...she wasn't anywhere in the house. Panicing he quickly changed and rushed out of his room to make sure that Bani was ok.
" where are you off to so early?" he stopped in his tracks hearing Meera's sharp voice coming from the back door.
" Woh Office, I need to meet Adam in sometime ....but where were u?"
" Oh, I was in the garden....woke up early and wanted to take some fresh air. Come have your breakfast before you leave." she moved towards the kitchen leaving a very worried Jai behind.
" Take that Jai Walia...so what if I can't do anything... doesn't mean I will leave you in peace." Meera thought looking at Jai's expressions.
He got the next shock while having his tea..." Jai, can you give me Neeta's number , one of my friend's daughters needs specialised care at home, so I recommended her"
" Yeah sure." and he reluctantly gave Meera the number....getting more uneasy by the minute...she sure was confusing him.
As soon as he started the car he called Adam and updated him. " I expected as much .....especially seeing her meet with a private eye early in the morning. Oh and by the way you are being followed and the house is being watched. We need to speed up things at our end now." Adam updated him in turn.
" Ok, I'll see u soon." he disconnected and called Ranveer.
" Haan Ranveer how are things going there"
" Mama ji Mohan got a call yesterday and has been very restless since then... I was just about to call you...he wants to know how soon things will be wrapped up here so that he can head back."
" Ranveer, I need atleast 2/3 days here...you have to hold fort till then"
" Dont' worry mamaji Adam's men have been well breifed they are making him feel like a king and we will be able to keep him here for sometime."
" Theek hai I am leaving all that to you...just be very careful and don't take any chances....you can trust Adam's men they are on our side." he finished the call hoping this mess gets cleared soon.
As he entered the gates to Bani's house Adam's man discreetly pointed out the private eye outside. Jai nodded and walked in.....
But he wasn't prepared for the site that greeted him.....................
