Part 15
The three of them spent the whole afternoon shopping and then had lunch. Ganga was enjoying herself, getting the undivided attention of her father and Neeta Aunty when Jai got a call from Meera. After enquiring about the doctors visit she wanted to speak with Ganga, who chattered happily about how she has spent the day so far...Bani and Jai were tense hoping she won't talk about Pushkar or going to Mount Abu, but it seemed that Meera lost interest in Ganga's chatter as soon as she heard all the fun things involving Neeta Aunty. She wanted to speak to Jai. Jai let out a sigh and took the phone from Ganga, motioning Bani to keep an eye on Ganga as he walked away.
While Bani took Ganga to a baby shop to pick up a few things for Krishna and Atharva Jai was trying his best to be polite to Meera.
" What is she doing with you Jai, where are Rano and Krishna?"
" Meera, Krishna is with Rano who has gone to meet Pushkar. And I thought I would bring Ganga to the Mall for a few things, she has after all got a green chit today. I wanted to celebrate with her."
" But why did you have to take that ...that Nurse, I am her mother now. You could have called me I too wanted to be a part of her happiness, sometimes I feel you dont want me to get close to your children...I always get left behind" continued Meera trying to hide her jealousy in tears.
" I know you are Meera, but it was just a sudden thing...and having picked up Neeta from her place, I couldn't just dump her at the hospital. It would have been rude, after all that she has done for us" replied Jai.
" Anyways I was thinking, once this US deal is done , we will take a holiday, just us and the kids" he added quickly to stop her rantings and also to throw her off his trail for the moment, he didn't want her to move before he had the children and Rano safely out of Mumbai.
Pacified somewhat...Meera couldn't do anything beyond agreeing with him and hanging up.
She decided to see off Mohan at the Airport and quickly went in search of Ranveer to let him know that she would be going with him to the airport.
After lunch Jai took Bani and a now tired Ganga home. Once he had settled Ganga in Bani's room, he joined the rest to work on the next stage of their plan. Nattu was sitting with Pushkar and Adam in the monitoring room when he walked in. Adam and he were heading to the airport in sometime and Nattu with one of Adam's men was going to see off Pushkar and party.
