Thanks for a superb and most waited update! Indeed good progress from Jai's side, trying to keep up with his promise to himself to bring Bani back. Jigyasa, is assuming that B is a burden to J's happiness without checking with J what he thinks.

The rest of the family should let B be herself while letting her regain her confidence.

Don't know who should I feel pity for? Bani.. who has not gotten the love what she truly deserved from anyone (atleast she thinks so) or Jai who got almost a child for his wife.. who is not only a kid by age but by behaviour too.. I think Jai should stop treating her as a kid and made her realize that she is whole grown up woman..

I hope Jai will be succeeded to get Bani overcome her fear and insecurities.

Jigs is a cow 😡 assuming that Bani is a burden on her brother and not realizing that her brother's happiness lies in Bani. And Bani sinking into a regressive mode, all due to Jai's attitude 😡 I wish Jai had showered ample love and concern on her earlier. Then she would not have been in this state. It's some consolation that at least he is taking care of her now.

Why did she go stiff in the bedroom when Jai hugged her.. I was a bit confused about that..me too.. i still dont know y i wrote that part 😛 Im glad Jai realises how insecure and how low on self esteem Bani is..Im glad she voiced her biggest fear to him. Poor thing her biggest fear is that Jai doesnt like her.. I felt sooo bad for Bani. I hope Jai doesnt give up and works on getting his Bani back. he will... because it wont take a long time for her to become normal... if he takes the full respnsibility...

Aparajit came back home in the afternoon after lunch to see Bani's condition and bid 'bye' to everyone.

He personally met Jai and asked him to contact if anything urgent happens.

He went to Bani in her room. She was wide awake lying on the bed.

"Tum jaagi ho toh bahar aa sakti ho na?" Aparajit asked directly.

Bani's thoughts were startled by Aparajit's sudden voice.

"Toh… Ab kya?" He asked helping himself with the chair near the dressing table. "Kya socha hai?"

"Kiske baare mein?" Bani asked irritatedly.

"Kuch nahin. Toh kab tak ke liye yeh bed rest?" He asked changing the topic.

"Main bed rest nahin le rahi. Main toh sone ki koshish kar rahi hoon." She answered back.

"Bani… why do you get so offended, always? Main toh bas ek sawaal poocha? Usmein irritate honewali baat kya hai?" He asked.

Bani frowned.

"Tum ab bachchi nahin rahi Bani…" Aparajit tried to make her understand.

"Mujhe pata hai." She spoke back.

"Toh phir bachchon jaise behave kyun kar rahi ho?" Aparajit asked.

"Main kahaan…" Bani was cut in the middle by Aparajit.

"Toh phir Jai office kyun nahin gaya?" Aparajit asked.

Bani blinked.

"Poocha karo Bani… use kya chahiye… kya nahin…" Aparajit said. "Woh bhi ek insaan hai…"

It touched Bani somewhere. Tears started to flow from her eyes.

Aparajit was stunned. "Bani… kya hua? Maine kuch galat toh nahin kaha?"

Bani just turned her back to Aparajit and lied down facing the other side.

Aparajit sighed and left the room without saying 'bye' to her.

That evening and night, she listened to everything that Jai said. He called for dinner and she went to dinner with him. She kept very quiet answering only in monosyllables.

That night after dinner, Bani insisted on having medicines on her own. She did not want others to think that she could not do her work on her own. She does know, after all, she had been supporting herself all through her life. Jai let her do what she wanted, but kept a check on her.

He made her lie on the bed before her mind changed and forced her to sleep. But she slept sooner than he thought. Medicines were taking its own effects.

Throughout night, Jai made sure Bani was sleeping beside him.

Next day, morning, when Jai woke up, he did not find Bani beside him. He got up in a jerk. He did not know what to do. He got and looked in the rest room. It was opened. There were Bani's previous day clothes in the laundry bag. He calmed a little. He started to walk down when he frowned and turned back. He went to the balcony door. It was unlatched. He opened it and entered the balcony. There he saw her sitting on the floor along the wall. He sighed. Bani heard him. She looked at him and tried to give him a full smile, but it did not reach his eyes. Jai smiled back. He came and sat beside her.

"Good Morning!" he said putting his arms around her.

Bani stiffened a bit, then relaxed. She slowly said, "Aaj aap office jaayenge na?"

Jai looked at her and said, "Nahin, kyun?"

"Kyun nahin? Aapko mere liye chutti lene ki zaroorat nahin hai…" She said quickly. When Jai frowned, Bani quickly added, "Aap fikar mat kijiye. Main… main apna khayal rakh loongi. Khana waqt mein kha loongi… aur dawa bhi kha loongi… Aur… Aur kisi ko thang nahin karoongi."

"Bani… mujhe tumhare saath rehna hai…" Jai said.

Bani was too crowded with her thoughts that she did not hear what Jai said. "Nahin… nahin… aapko bahut kaam hoga. Main reh loongi yahaan pe. Aap fikar mat kijiye. Main bachchi nahin hoon. Main apna khayal khud rakh loongi…" she said fast as if she would forget if she was interrupted.

"Okay.. okay…" Jai relaxed her. "Theek hai… main office chalta hoon. Khush?"

Bani did not say anything, but looked at him. A little later, Jai got up to get ready for office.

Abhilasha... as usual a great update.. albeit a bit short but even in this short update u manage to get the story more and more interesting.. Bani cried when Aparajit told her to look after jai since he is also a person... Is it coz Bani realised that somewhere she is also at fault? Banis behavior is confusing... she is still a lil stiff when Jai hugs her but she tries to smile at him and she thinks by making him go to work she is helping him.. (atleast that was my reading of it). Jai seems to be trying really hard.. I hope Bani shows him a ray of light as well
All in all a brilliant update.. Please do try and update over the weekend.. I am loving the story
