Bani glared at her and received the call, "Hello?"


" Where are you, I'm calling you since forever." Said the deep voice.




"Umm..I'm in my friend's wedding," replied Bani, she was trying to catch the breathe as she came here running. Sarika tried to listen and Bani slapped her lightly. Sarika whispered, "Hey, you don't slap the bride." Bani scowled at her and she giggled.




"Wedding? I thought you are in a market.." teased Jai as he heard the loud noise within the phone.




"Market or not, you have not called me from 3 days, no call, no sms, what's up, hu?"




"you haven't called me either.." said Jai.




"I was busy , it's my friend's wedding today. I have to do lots of work" Replied Bani moodily.




"I's traveling darling." he said huskily.



"Oh.."




"Where are you, now?" asked Bani.




"Definitely in Canada," replied Jai, "was away from home for some office work."



"Where?"



"Somewhere.."



"Bolo na.."




"Uu hu.."




"Kyon.."


"Aise hi..."


"Oh..."


"kya Bani, what's wrong..kabse ye "OH" "Yea" "No" "Ha"..kya hai ye sab?"


"nothing...you are doing the same thing..."


"I always do this thing, it's usually you who talks.."



"What are you implying? I talk too much?"



"Off course not, who can say that?"

"Wha jaan, what a thing to do.." he teased. Bani blushed.

Jai chuckled as he balanced the phone between his ear and shoulder. Gosh, she is blushing he thought. He neatly piled the shirts in the cupboard. He has just returned from Texas, where he went for some business deal. Before that he's in Florida. Work was so overpowering now a days, it has happened as he decided to spread it out of Canada.




When everything was settled he went to meet Cissy. She was in the library, reading a book like her life depended on it. He smiled.




"Hey, are you ok?" he asked. She looked up.




"Oh, I see you are back."




"I certainly am, dear. Tell me if you had any troubles when I was away?" he sat down beside her and she put the book away.




"No, I was fine." She replied softly.




"Tell me the truth, do you had any problems? Have you eaten properly? Did someone told you something.."




"Stop, stop. Don't be so jumpy. I just felt alone, this house is too big…can't we live in a smaller house Jai?" she looked towards Jai.




"See Cis, you know it's quite impossible to move into a small house, you know why…"




"you speak like Dad, you act like Dad, you remind me of Dad…" she complained and left the place all angrily. Jai just looked at her.

"Ahem, Kya dikhti hai, Jijs?" asked Bani as she winked at Asif. The girls giggled. The bride and groom was seated together for the first time around. And the mirror ritual was going on. A mirror was placed in front of Asif in perfect angle so that he can see Sarika's face. He hesitated making the girls Ooooh..




"Jaldi bolo, jitna jald kam khatam, utna jald apki biwi apki." Said Rano as all the girls once again broke in giggles.




"Kya batau, I think someone changed my bride…"




They all burst into laughter. Anu giggled, "Abh ham kya
kahe, jitna din jayegi utni hi unjane lagegi…duniya badal jata hai, aur yeh to dulhan hai.."




"Ok, ok, enough." Said Asif's cousin Natasha. "Now Bhabi tell, what do you see?" she moved the mirror towards Sarika who blushed.




"Aye haye…" was heard from all over. Pri moved closer so that Sarika's voice could be heard as she was capturing the scene on her cell phone.




"Acchi hain…" whispered Sarika only to be surround the hall with cat whistles and Ooohs and Aahs..

"Paisa.." the boys got stiffed as they realized that they've been tricked in a common trap. The girls high fived each other. While Bani was busy talking to Jai and Anu was busy flirting with the guys, Rano and Pri skillfully stole the shoes. Now it was the time for Vidai and the both side were fighting over it.




Arif said bitterly, "See, kya zamana aa gaya, chor bhi paisa mangta hain.."




"You stop bickering, this is just between us and Jiju."



"Oh, you will come in troops to grill my brother and he's
to face it alone?"




"When you will get married then your salis will also grill you."




"Oh, then I want my Salis to be you guys, anyone among you interested?" he winked.




This went on and on until the guardians intervened. The happy atmosphere soon changed into a grave one as the Vidai time arrived. Taking blessing from the elders, hugging her friends, Sarika left for her new home, leaving her past home and life behind.
