Hi everyone, Since Jignu updated, here's my update...Jignu, you were the culprit..once I read your update, ideas started coming to my mind as if floodgates have opened...



Part Three

"Like the rain I have fallen for you and I know just why you liked the rain. Always calling for you I'm falling for you now, just like the rain."


Pri hurried through the corridor. She saw her team already ready for daily rounds. She smiled at them. "Let's go?" she asked as she fixed the stethoscope and took the report sheet where patients' details were kept. She was final year resident student. And that meant she's to make the round around the medical twice a week with one full doctor and other 4 junior students.




"Dr. Mehta, we have to wait for the IN..." said one 1st year student.



"What is the IN?" asked Pri confused.



"Not what but who..." giggled one girl of 2nd year."Apparently, the CMO has got one nephew who tried everything but failed everywhere. So CMO sir is trying to put him on this medical. Everyday, he's attending the rounds. They call him the Idiot Nephew. Today is our turn to take him to rounds."




"How old is he?" asked Pri dreading the encounter with the IN.



"26 and he's handsome." Said the giggle 2nd year.




"He's late," groaned Pri. "Look, you guys go on. I'll wait for him and take him with me."




"Ok, doctor." They all grinned and moved Pri sighed. Just then she noticed him. Her jaws dropped. It couldn't be him.




Priyanka was stupefied to see her former tutor Puskar. Puskar only tutored her for 3/4 months. And later on, she's never seen him and knew nothing about him as Pri's whole family was forced to leave the area for Pratik's crimes around the area. But there's no way he's failing in everything..She thought..He was not brilliant like Jai but he's alright. Well, what's my problem? she smirked. He gave me hell…Pri you're wrong..That that doesn't happen to be like this..I'll teach him a lesson today..




Puskar was equally shocked to see her, "Oh it's you..Can you tell me.."



"Shut up!" snapped Pri, "Where is your white coat? Haven't anyone told you that you have to wear white coats in round?"




Puskar scratched his head," White coats? Rounds? I don't know what.."




"Stop, I'm already late. Go back downstairs and ask the register to give you a white coat."



Puskar looked her suspiciously, "Are you sure?"



"Do you think I joke around with Idiots?"



Pri was annoyed as a slow grin appeared in his face and he went. In five minutes, he was back wearing a doctor's white coat.

The round was a hell event. Puskar knew nothing. He only seemed to be awed by the way Pri managed to deal with the patient. Occasionally, she'd ask one question or two to the juniors. After checking one patient, she said.."This one has got a high temperature, rapid pulse, sore stomach. How do you treat him? " She asked directly to Puskar.



Hell, he had no idea. He scratched his head and said, "Um, nicely?"




"Damn, you are not his mother! You are his doctor."




The rest of the round was worse.

After the round was over Pri pulled Puskar aside, "If you don't mind, I've to say you something. You don't have a future in medicine. Try something else."



To her annoyance Puskar seemed amused, "I also know that I don't have a future in this…"




"Then why you are here?" asked Pri irritated now.




"Well, to tell you the truth, I was forced into it."




Before Pri could reply anything, the CMO approached them. "Hi Dr. Mehta. Hi Puskar. I see you two have met already."



"I'm honoured." Muttered Pri under her breath.



"Hmm?" asked the CMO.



"It's nothing." Said Pri quickly.



The CMO shrugged. "Puskar, you are much late. It's expecting you whole morning. We have to plan that new communication system of the hospital…"



"New communication system!" Pri cried.



"Yeah, " the CMO seemed confused. "Haven't he told you what he does? He's the telecommunication engineer working for our new communication system."




Pri felt that her world was cowering. Her expression turned from shock to embarrassment. "Well to tell you the truth I was forced in it." By Me!


All she wanted to do was run from the place which she did. The CMO looked at her confused. Puskar was however much amused, "Some girl she is huh?"



The CMO shrugged, "Now if you should get going, we need to discuss that."



"Hmm, let's go." Said Puskar but his thought was left on Pri.

Bani hummed to her as she worked on Visual C++ for a class project. Final semester
Was like hell. And she also had a thesis to write. She shook her head to remove the fringe from her forehead. It didn't help. She tucked it in with her left hand and back on typing the code. It fell over again. "Damn! Everything is betraying me today." She groaned. Just then her GTalk showed a familiar menu and a wide grin appeared in her face.."Noh, everything is not betraying me."



In two second, there was knock from JW. she smiled.



JW: Hey beautiful, what's up?



Mermaid: I'm not good..work



JW: oh jaan, don't work that much…



Mermaid: look who's speaking, what is u doing?



JW: in office.



Mermaid: Oh, I thought office was for work, not for chatting.



JW: ok, I'm going..😔



Mermaid: NOOOOOOOOO, only kidding 🤗



JW: I know..



Mermaid: how are you, are you taking your meals regularly?



JW: Yes, MOM…😉



Mermaid: "don't call me mom"



JW: 😃



JW: you should sleep now, it's late



Mermaid: I've loads to do….😔 😔 😔



JW: Do it tomorrow, now go to sleep….



Mermaid: I don't want to sleep, don't tell me what I should do or what I should not…



JW: may I come to put you in sleep…😉 ?



Mermaid: Ajao..😳



JW: Damn you girl, I'm half a world away from you…*sigh*



Mermaid: why don't you come back…



JW: are you sure you want me back…? Once I am there, I'm going to make you mine forever…



Mermaid: 😳 😳 😳 (that's why I'm calling you man..)



JW: My luck *mock sigh* what a gf to have, sharmate bhi nehi..



Mermaid: what did I do? *mock curiosity*



JW: you were supposed to get shy jaan….

Jai looked at Cissy as she was having her dinner. She was reading a book while eating. Suddenly she looked up and asked, "What's the third member of Fibonacci series?"



Jai was caught off guard, "Sorry..?"



Cissy threw the book and pushed the plate aside and went off. Jai sighed. Bringing up a child was hard, bringing up an autistic child was impossible. But at the same moment he knew, he's the only one she's got now.




Jai only met Cissy two years ago when she was five. Cissy is Uday's Sister's only daughter. Uday's Sister, Urmita fled from house to marry a rich man and came here to Canada. They were happy expect one thing that they didn't have any child. Then after so long when Cissy was born, Urmita died. Her husband Jeffery Connors was at a loss without his wife and the child.




Things worsen when the girl grew up and he found out that she was an autistic child. He became alcoholic and his once booming business started to fall like an untrained climber from Alps. That's when he seeked help from Uday. Uday was not forgiving and the matter that his sister married a Christian was still bothering him. But he couldn't help adore the small girl. But still he was hesitant to help Jeffery.




Then without any notice, Uday was in the hospital, fighting with death. And when Jai rushed to BD to meet him, Uday asked him to help out Jeff. Jai was then just fresh from college, doing some job. He has no way but to agree as Uday said this was his last wish from Jai.




So, Jai went back to Canada and helped Jeff out of the business problems. It was coming back to shape. But one fine morning, Jeff Connors passed away as well, leaving his broken empire, autistic daughter…..in his will, to Jai's surprise, he stated his only heir as Jai Walia as long as he takes care of Cissy.





So what do you think of it? It was hard to update this time....I had nothing in my mind to write for long..😊Tanu, I hope this post is long without the gaps..😳 Let me know what do you think of it..

thanks Brishty for clearing up the confusion of who Cissy is. She's Jai's aunt's daughter and now his sole responsibility. Must say, Jai is doing a damn good job taking care of her and the GFN Jeff's business.

Yaar, I am glad u brought back Pushkar. Pleaseeeee...get Pri go out with him or make them a couple. Anything to make Pri get out of having a serious thing for Jai. Jai and Bani belong togethr and no one else.
