Part Four:
Looking around
Seeing faces around her
Yet she recognizes none
Hearing voices surround her
Yet not knowing their source
Taken to a house she's never seen
Put into a room she doesn't recognize
She tries to comprehend what happening
Yet she can't fathom what's going on
She feels her eyelids getting heavier
Until she sees nothing but darkness
Bani woke up, breathing heavily, trying to figure out what happened. Her disheveled appearance was an indication towards her hardships. It seemed like it had all just been a bad dream she had just awoken from. But it was reality. Sometimes your worst nightmares become the factuality of your existence and that is exactly what had happened to her. Her worst nightmare had now become her harsh and true reality. What she tries to break free from every moment of her life, yet that one mistake would haunt her forever.
The last thing Bani remembers is a man she vividly remembers, taking her children away from her. She ran behind him, begged him, pleaded him to give her children back, yet his impassive expression told her everything. She knew it was of no use, yet she couldn't seem to contemplate that her children were away from her. Having not yet even tasted a drop of their mother's milk, two innocent children were snatched away from their source of existence. Bani screamed for her children, yearned to hold them in her hands, caress them as a mother would, but to no avail.
She then woke up from her dream and looked around her. It seemed as though this place would be her home forever. She knew she had to get used to the lifestyle, yet she still had a tiny ray of hope in her soul. She still believed that the man she loved would come and rescue her from her living nightmare.
Pia had come to visit Bani that same day. Bani had not expected this and had been shocked at seeing her sister.
Pia: (in a sugary sweet voice) Di, how are you? I'm so sorry that my mistake brought you into this hell house, but what can I do? (anger and resentment now heard in her voice) Mr. Walia and I just love each other too much. Did you hear the great news? Me and Mr. Walia are going to get married? Aren't you excited for me? I just can't wait. You're going to come aren't you? (sarcastically) But wait (tapping her chin, as in great thought
