Armana,

what a wonderful update... do you know how much pleasure you give us wth your writting.. ??Thank you so much. 👏 👏 👏

And about the note. I am also Hindu.. my mom tought me not to go near GOD in those days.... but I always rebeled... I always asked my mom if GOD made womens.. then why would he don't want to see them in those 5 days.. ? And what about godesss ? aren't they women?

I always go to temple in those days. I partcipate in all pujas in those days from my age of 14... till now. I found few people who trust that womens should not be part of Puja in those days... I just simply doesn't tell them that I am on my period..

One of my MAMJI used to believe a lot in these things and didn;t waht me to touch any cloths or anything.. when I was young.. I used to purposly touch all thngs.. and then tease her... I used to have a good lough..

I am totaly with you in this respect...

I like your BANI completely.. in and OUT.. and all her actions.. Her love... her passion.. and main thing is she doesn't expect anything from her love... that is exactly love.. is.... Love is not about making a slave of the person you love.

Bani in your story is tooo goood...

Please Please please make her happy.. in the end...

I realy liked when Bani

Good Points made by all of you guys. As I am not a hindu I dont have much to say but even in my religion a menstruating woman is not allowed to pray. I have no complaints about this fact but I think most of the times these restrictions are more socially/culturally imposed than religiously. First the society claims to treat women equally but the littlest things like this shows how much they actually follow their own word.
Armana, Thank you very much this debate has been very informative for me!

Also enjoyed the update and I was wondering while reading the update too if someone was going to comment on this!

Hi Armana,
Your writing shows what kind of an individual you are - a very sensitive, cultured, intelligent, well-informed person with a deep sense of spirituality (which has nothing to do with religion). I am so honored to know you through your writings. I haven't read your latest update yet (I just read your note on pg.5) but am eagerly looking forward to reading it.
A big hug to you.

Hi Armana,
This is a wonderful story. I have enjoyed every bit of it so far. I now understand the context of not not going into the pooja room controversy. I just wanted to share this story with you. My neighbours in India were a large joint family that had thre daughters-in-law. None of them used to tell their mother-in-law that they had their periods. They used to go into the pooja room regularly and do the pooja. When they were asked as to why they did that they used to say that they did not want to go through all that torture. As they say ignorance is bliss and people should just do what they feel is right.
Do continue with this amazing story. I want to know what happens next... Eagerly waiting for an update.
Minnie.

armana..i am sure lots of people have already told u this but u seriously are a fantabulous writer! the way u potray jai and banis emotions i so realistic...and the way u have shown bani and jais relationship is very relaistic because nowadays thats how most couples live and here they get to see each others imperfections and work their way round it and if thats what two consesting adults want then thats fine. about ur note i perosnally think that its god hu gave women their menstruation cycle and well if he hasnt stated in any of his scrpitures (im not hindu so im not sure if it or isnt mentioned in the scriptures) that women are not allowed to pray if they have thier periods then hu is man to put these boundries...and at the end of teh days its gods decisionas to whether they accpet that prayer or not and we should allow people whi have good intentions and pure heart to pray to god no matter what. as for ur update that was amazing 👏 👏 👏 ...looks like jai is unconciously relasing that maybe there is more to this relationship than he thinks! pls cont soon!

hi armana

fantastic part as usual 👏 👏 👏
really liked the comfort level btw the two

the descriptive visualisation of "jannat" reminded me the "jannat of srk" vry vry complete and visual

so jai linked both his "bunny" and "bani" to his mother
bunny when he was consolin her
and bani when she emerged from PujaGhar

now he hav bunny->mommy and bani->mommy

so he can vry easily derived bani<->bunny

gotcha ! jai wanted bani to "mrry me or else "
i would say jai first sort out urs feelin than think abt bani 😳 😳 she is much mature than u

as for the Note , being a guy i cant say much in the given case but in general i would say how u feel is important
religion is all abt wht v believe ,
in Islam the intentions are most important
if our intentions r best nothing is wrong

dear readers,
much as i value your comments on the status of women within religion vis-a-vis periods, may i please request you all to no longer post on that issue on this thread since it's against the rules?
Please feel free to pm me, but for this thread, let's move back to TFS?
Hopefully i will have an update by tomorrow.
Take care.
And thank you. Your responses were so thought provoking and interesting to read.

regards,
Armana

Hmmmmmmm

Looks like Jai is head over heels in love with Bani -- he's behaving real husband like -- you know kissing her good bye and all that ........even though he is yet to realize that he wants to marry her....right?

Ok, looks like i missed the boat on the discussion, but will not resurrect it - I'm too scared of Sangs' belan!! 😉 😆

Armana, sorry I have been so lack-a-daisical with my comments!! What can I say, you know my majbooriya!! 😉

Great parts dear, just in case I haven't said it before I am head over heels in love with your JW!!! 😳 The mandir scene was a nice touch, well done, esp. the handing out of the prasad and what it means to "the boys"! 😉 👏

Ab Pia yaha bhi aagayi?!! 😡 Kya yaar?!! 😛 😆

Hopefully you will be updating soon - and in case I miss a link, can you PM me when you start a new one?! 😕

Thanks huni! xxxxxxx
