PART 22:

Bani slowly walked out of the room.....she was still dazed....her skin still tingling....her breath still laboured....she needed to calm down....but if she had satyed in her room for much longer....she wouldn't have been able to control her desire for much longer....

she quietly...and very slowly....walked back to where all the ladies were still gathered...

"Are Bahu....kya chaya tha munna ko?" she asked....winking at bani...

Immediately bani began to blush as everyone turned to look at her....she couldn't get the images and the feelings out of her head....she closed her eyes for a second and quietly said....

"Woh..rano aur sahil ki shaadi teh ho chuki hai...aur Ranveer Raashi se shaadi karna chaata hai"

No-one said anything....all too shocked with the latest developments....then all of a sudden they all began to whoop with joy.....they began to tease Rano....

Bani smiled at their reactions....and looked longingly back towards her bedroom....

she saw Jai walk out of the room....he turned to look at her....their gazes locked.....neither flinched....too engrossed in each other.....

it took a moment for Bani to realise that Rano was trying to gain her attention.....she abruptly turned towards her sister...and joined in with the conversations.....realising that there would be little time to arrange everything before the nuptials would be taking place....

The day flew past....so many things had to be organised...especially now that there were 3 weddings taking place as opposed to 2.......

Shopping to do....menus to be finalised...decorations etc....

it wasn't until late that night that Jai saw his wife again.....

He was pacing back and forward in their room when she walked in....exhaustion clear in her face......

he watched her enter slowly........saw the sheen of tears in her eyes....

"Bani....kya hua?...tumari aankhon mein aansoo?...kisi ne kuch kaha tha kya?..."

"Nahin Mr Walia....woh bas...kal Rano ki shaadi...mujhe bas ooski chinta hai...aur aaj mujhe apne maa aur papa ki bohoth yaad ari thi..."

The mere mention of Bani's parents had Jai tensing.....but he had to shake it off...otherwise Bani would become suspicious....no now was still not the right time to tell her....

he walked towards bani and gently took her by the hand and led her to the bed....he pulled her down to sit....then crouched in front of her....placing his hands on either side of Bani's face...he wiped her tears away with his thumbs.....then he began to talk to her....reassure her....Rano would be okay...afterall she would be in this house with them....reassured her that the wedding would go off without any problems....he would always be with her.....she was his wife...he her husband...he belonged to her...like she to him......

he kissed her then....softly...offerring comfort...reassurance....but the kiss suddenly changed pace....the pent-up desire of their earlier encounter....along with their tiredness....overcame any urge they would have had to fight temptation....they were too deep in passion's web....spiralling further into the abyss....

Jai arose higher.....taking Bani with him....his hands making their journey down her body.....her hands likewise were moving up his chest......she felt the palla of her saree fall....felt Jai's hands on her bare waist....on her back...rising higher....and higher...until they reached her dori...

All thought left them....they only thought of one another....their desire.....their needs....

Jai gently laid bani onto the bed and then followed.....

The next day Jai awoke to find himself alone....immediately he felt the usual fear penetrate inside him...had she left him again?.....he knew the answer would be no...but until he had confessed...his conscience cleared....the fear would never leave him....

He heard the bathroom door open and saw the object of his desires....the woman prominently in his thoughts....enter....

he just stared at her....it was never enough...he would never tire of looking at her....how had he ever thought Pia more beautiful?...what was wrong with him?....why had he never seen Bani's beauty before?....her inner beauty only enhanced her outer beauty.....her skin glowing fresh from her shower.....the shy smile she gave him after he made love to her...and again now....just made him feel blessed....

Bani smiled softly...shyly...at Jai before turning back towards the dressing table...

"Bani?....yaha aao naa?" Jai said huskily...

"Mujhe nahin lagta ke mujhe aap ke pas aahna chaye...aaj ghar mein shaadi...bohoth kaam bakhi...aur aap..aap..." She began blushing immediatley...

Jai understood what she was trying to say and just laughed....she was right of course....if she came near him....there was no telling what might happen...

"Shayat tum teek kehri hoon...koi baath nahin...phir kabhi...chalo phir main bhi nahah kar aata hoon..."

Bani nodded at him as he walked towards the bathroom...

Jai turned to face bani once more before he entered the bathroom..."Kya tumhe ek aur shower lehna hai?....mere saath?.." he said winking at her...

Bani gasped and turned to face him....she saw him wink and just picked up the cushion on the bed and threw it at him....barely missing him....

Jai immediately closed the door...but bani could hear him giggling on the other side...

She smiled to herself....for once she felt content?...at peace?.....happy?

she had a husband who loved....who she loved...and her sisters were married...or getting married to the men they loved....
