Bani, Pia and Rano are sitting on the beach all of them quiet

Bani: Do you both think that my present to Mr. Walia really looked cheap like Roshshni said? I really put thought into it you know. After i spilt tea on it i felt so bad.

Rano: Didi its ok

Sid who is standing behind them hears this interrupts and says

Sid: Bani you know Mr. Walia and that Roshni are just like that. I thought your present was really cool. Anyways are girls planning to just sit here and be boring.

Sid who is hiding a bucket of water behind his back takes it and splashes the three girls. Bani pia and rano start running after Sid.

Jai who is still in his room looks outside the window which overlooks the beach and sees bani, pia, rano and sid having fun and laughing really loudly. Jai is furious. He turns around to go and get Bani when he opens the door Roshni is standing there.

Jai (not at all pleased to roshni): Not now Roshni please

Roshni: Jai darling, but I need to talk to you.

Roshni comes in and sits on the bed. She starts talking. five minutes later bani comes in. She feels akward seeing Roshni in her room.

Roshni: Well I have to get ready for the party so I got to go. See you Jai.

(Jai is still wearing the Jacket) Bani (noticing this): Mr. Walia that Jacket looks really nice on you.

Jai (still annoyed at Bani, takes the Jacket off): Well are you regretting giving it to me, and not your new best friend! (Throws jacket on floor and leaves)

Bani picks up the Jacket and starts to cry. Pia comes in.

Pia: Look Didi Mausi gave me the lehnga you have to wear tonight. O didi it is beautiful, you will look amazing in it. Ok go get ready and i will go too.

Bani is almost ready, she is standing in front of the mirror just tying the extra strings on the side to her blouse. Jai walks in. Bani turns and looks at him. Jai is taken aback by how beautiful Bani looks, he can't stop looking at her.

Bani: Mr. Walia your suit is ready please get ready.

At the party
Every one has arrived at the party. Bani is sitting alone on a sofa when Jai goes to her and asks her for a dance. Bani is not expecting this but says yes and goes with him to the dance floor which is empty.

Jai and Bani start dancing and the song "lo shuru ab chahaton ka silsala ho raha" starts playing in the background. After the dance ends all the reporters taht are invited to the party gather around the dance floor to take a pic of Jai and Bani. Bani just can't stop smiling, she is on high from the dance suddenly she feels Jai softly kiss her on her cheek. Bani feels like she will just faint.

The next morning after the Jai's Birthday party. Bani wakes up with a huge smile on her face. She is still in on cloud 9 due to the dance and kiss from last night and because of that she hardly got 1 to 2 hours of sleep last night. She kept thinking how romantic the dance was. She sits up on the bed...streches her arms and turns to look for Jai. He is not in bed. She gets up to go and see where he is. He is standing he their room's balcony. She goes and stands next to him. She can't stop smiling.

Bani: O Mr. Walia last night's party was great, everything was just great. I loved it. What did you think? (asks hoping to hear Jai say something romantic)

Jai: Bani don't get too excited. Tum middle class ladkiyon ki yehi baat hoti hai. zara sa dance kiya nahi aur pata nahi kya kya sochne lagti ho. Did you not see all the people from the press there I was only trying to show that we are a happy couple. People at my status have to keep a positive image in front of the public. That's all.

Bani who is shocked to hear this, gets tears in her eyes but before Mr. Walia can see this she leaves and goes to the room to start packing as they soon have to leave the resort.

Everyone gets into their cars and are on their way back. Jai and Bani are in the same car. Jai and Bani are sitting in the back and driver is driving. Bani who did not get any sleep last night is very tired and falls asleep. Jai looking out the window of car turns around to say something to Bani but Bani is asleep. Jai looks at bani and notices how pretty she looks. She looks really peaceful sleeping. Jai can't stop looking her. He takes his hand and removes hair from bani's face. he then takes his jacket and puts in on Bani so she is not cold.

Jai (thinking to himself): Why? Why am I so harsh to her? I danced with her because i wanted to not because of the press, I kissed her because I wanted to not because of the press. Why can't i tell her this?

Suddenly Jai starts to smile he is thinking of Bani's embarassed at lunch yesterday and how cute she looked.

Jai (thinking): When we get home today I will tell Bani I am sorry for the way I have been treating her.
