One good thing, Pia did that she had given all papers relating to Riya's birth in the bag she had left alongwith Riya. Though most of the clothes and contents were impractical, Bani had to get almost everything new for her with the help of Patil uncle's daughter-in-law Bani was thankful to Pia because of this, atleast she knew when was her vaccines due. Bani got down from the auto holding Riya, the baby was whimpering, not her cheerful self, Bani patted her back and paid the fare, when she turned to open her gate she saw a long expensive car parked a bit beyond, well expensive cars were often seen at these parts but Bani thought it was one of those unusual models, somehow Bani felt the visitor was meant for this house, must be visiting her tenant as Mr Patil holding an important position in one of the top Bank's did have rich clients visiting him from time to time but then wasn't it too early as Mr Patil is not yet back from office….

A Bani inserted the key into the lock, she heard a voice saying Ms Dixit….

Ji ? Bani turned to come face to face with a handsome and haughty looking man. Tall, broad with dark thick hair, he was studying her from head to toe….

Ji? Bani at last spoke…..

So at last we meet Ms Dixit, I am told that you are aware that I have been looking for you….

Do I now….Bani asked, trying to place him with one of her clients….but his was a face you do not forget easily no matter how hard he is frowning at you…..

Yes of course otherwise then why would you have fled from your residence……

Fled? I did not flee anywhere….

Didn't you, many a times I had told you to come and meet me in my office with the baby and your claim but you seem to ignore my summons instead you have vacated the flat you were staying….

That was a rented apartment and I did not get any summons, I…..

Cut it out Ms Pia Dixit, I know too many women like you, you get yourself pregnant, make a huge story, get all sympathies and then settle nothing less than huge monetary claims…..

Anger flushed through Bani's body, her face became red…..at the same moment the baby gave a loud cry….

Well Sir, whoever you might me, I too have somethings to say about the men like your type, incase we women are making claims, you men should also think twice before lying around….anyway as you see the baby is not too well, had her vaccine today, if you will excuse me now, I will like to attend to Riya and her needs, Bani opened the door to enter, shutting the door behind her…..

Oh no madam not so fast….he put his foot in between, I will not give you another chance to escape….after all I got you after a long chase…..

Where will I escape? Anyway incase you want to wait you can, but it will be sometime before I can hear you out, I will take long to settle Riya, as you see she is not in the best of moods today….

Bani moved away from the door, she did not invite him in nor offered him a seat….instead she went towards kitchen area, putting Riya in her cot, warming her milk at the same time changing her nappy and clothes, she hummed her lullabies as she worked….being a studio apartment she knew a pair of eyes followed her….who is he wondered Bani, looked somewhat familiar, one of Ranveer's friends or family? Pia did mention that Ranveer belonged from a rich family but she did not mention about any siblings of Ranveer, then she did mention about his mamaji….Bani checked the temperature of the bottle and paused, the man looked too young to be a mama of a grown up man of her age….by the way how old was Ranveer….must be of their age group or was he older, maybe this man was Ranveer's friend, rich people have rich friends normally…

Bani sat with Riya to give her a feed…Riya took a bit more time to settle down before sucking from the bottle….no doubt he is assuming she is Pia and.as Pia Dixit is she expected to know who is who thought Bani, Pia said the family is looking out for the baby or the man has just come to verify if the baby is really Ranveer's. In that case, she needs to find out his intentions and then protect Riya till her mother comes……

I think the baby is about 3 months old…..

Hmmmm…..Bani muttered

Not yet old enough or should I say young enough still for your milk, why aren't you breastfeeding her…

Bani's cheeks grew red, not with anger but with blush….good god the man must be a father and god knows how many children he has…..but he is a shameless blunt man without doubt….

Well this time she has cerelac, it is her cerelac time, she said as casually as possible…..

Hmmmm, you know just ensuring that my family member is well looked after…..

His family member, who is he….Ranveer's older brother, did Ranveer have a brother….her mobile rang, it was Patil uncle, Bani could make out from the ring tone, Bani got busy taking the mobile out from her bag….

Bani a little while ago I saw Jai Walia entering your flat, what is he doing here or have you taken a new project for his company……

Jai Walia, the Jai Walia thought Bani, no wonder he was looking familiar…..

Though at times she got a bit irritated at Patil Uncle's curiosity but she knew the man looks her upon as his daughter from the time he learnt she is an orphan, infact his son, with his recent promotion was due for a bigger house, instead Patil uncle convinced him to stay back in this house atleast till Bani is here or is not married…..

Uncleji I will get back to you….I am giving Riya her feed and …..

Bani got herself busy in settling down Riya, so this is Jai Walia, known in the business circle as a no nonsense man, a ruthless man and who is making the right moves at the right time to expand his business. Her boss himself went to give a presentation to him sometime back and came back flustered. Thank God Bani you did not go, he would have eaten you alive, me with my thick skin and so many years of experience saved myself somehow……

In his black suit, Bani found Jai Walia sprawled on her white sofa, the colour of the sofa enhanced his dark looks, his sharp nose and black hooded eyes was making him unreadable….Bani sat on the seat opposite, she has to fight for Riya's right, her sister Pia's right and of course get their due recognition…..for that Bani has to face this man, so she will and do what need be….

He raised an eyebrow hearing his name on her lips…then sat back leaning at the back lest, his feet crossed…..

Well Miss Dixit I do not believe in anything without a proof…..In my position it is very difficult to accept otherwise….

Yes of course Sir, you should be very careful but I wish you are before sowing your seeds around, Bani bit her tongue a bit but she did not feel sorry, why should the women be blamed always….

Bani looked away and what it might be, removing me with the child from the face of the earth?

First thing first, the child's has to undergo an identification test….

Bani caught her breath, she was not Riya's mother and that means the claim will crumble before she can establish it…..

I thought you observed Riya quite well when I was giving her a feed, now don't tell me you missed the similarities or are your eyes not sharp enough…..

Miss Dixit I was under the impression that you want to settle the issue but playing a bit to raise your price, very well, I don't mind but then I have companies to run and do not sit idle, if you cannot spare time for me, then you might find me very busy…..

Bani looked at the closed door….she felt numb for sometime, proof? Well it is natural but Ranveer dead, she is not the real mother and then what will Pia tell her once she comes back to collect her daughter?

So Jai confused bani as Pia. bani not disclosing her true identity to avoid loosing Riya. Why does she keep thinking about Pia & tries to help her even though Pia is a selfish jerk. Now she has to face wrath of Jai which Pia deserves.
