"A room please" she smiled at the clerk of the small hill side hotel.

"We have only the honeymoon room available… as there's a large festival taken place for Navaratri …"

"Yes I know we heading that way too…" she turned and looked as Shiv standing next to her…staring at her.

"We will take the honeymoon room!" Gauri turned to look at Shiv slightly stunned as he placed his arm around her waist so causally…smiling sly..

"Yes Sir…. Name Mr and Mrs Abhishek Bachchan!" the clerk looked at him surprised.

"What? Can't there be more then one Abhishek Bachchan? As my wife is MY Miss world! " he turned to look at Gauri as she giggled with her hand over her mouth blushing.

"Yes sir….."

Placing the key in the door Shiv open the door Gauri stepped forward and stopped as she felt his hand pull her back.

"Mrs Bachchan … according to custom I have to…" moving forward he swooped her into his arms and held her looking as she looked at him.

"Lift the beautiful bride in my arms… and carry her to the bed ….and then …" feeling his lips on her she opened her eyes to see him gentle place her on the bed.

"Gauri I have to tell you something important!" he moved closer to her as he sat next to her on the large oval shaped bed.

"I'm staving!" he looked at her face as she relaxed with a sigh of relief.

"Me too"


As we laid in bed we did nothing but stare at each other as we lay on our sides… I could sense her nervous but I did not want her to feel pressured or that I was not feeling anything but total aroused in her presence.

"I will not do anything you don't want Gauri!"

"I know Shiv… that's why I love you so much…I can't tell you are battling within yourself!"

"Really…aren't you also doing the same?"

"Yes!" he looked at her with her eyes closed.

"I want to kiss you….but I know if I do I will completely surrender myself to my desires…so I have decided to sleep on the floor" my body ached it just would not stop all over the feeling of desire ran through my vains…every part of me was screaming to take hold of her and just let it all out completely… I was unable to control the beast and was losing the battle… the only way I could over come it was to move away from her.

As I lay on the floor I saw her smiling I thought about asking about the man she was going to marry.

"Gauri…. I have know you for 4 weeks and 3 days now. You now more or less everything about me …. Who is Shanshank?" I could sense her uneasiness about the question and sat up to look at her as she was so silent…

"He is my fathers son?" shocked I looked at her confused.

"See my parents died when I was very young and I was placed in Shanshank's fathers custody and …"

"You marrying him as an obligation?" she looked down at her hands and her eyes swelled up.

"Actually… I have been told I was not the daughter of the house but the bahoo when I was 9 years old and have been treated like that by the household….When I was 16 years old …" Seeing her choke on her words I climbed onto the bed and sat next to her looking at the tears running down her face…I placed my arm around her but her eyes never looked up just down.

"Shanshank walked into my room ….and he….tired to rape me…. I thanked his little sister as she walked into the room hearing the commotion…. I have been afraid of him since… when they sent him to America … I prayed to devima to send me away forever…."

She clinging onto me all night and when she final dosed of I looked at her asleep on the bed as I stood near the window… I was so helpless and I can not give her anything or was in a position to do anything …. I was living of my parents and Samar was not married yet he was two years older then me… 'I'm sorry Gauri but I can't do anything for you…or be that knight in shining amour to protect you' how I cursed myself all night as I climbed into the sheets with her just to hold her for comfort……..

When she walked out of the bathroom in a yellow sari as the towel in her hand gentle through her hair…she was totally unaware of the way I was looking at her in such awe of her simple breath taking beauty.

"Shiv you ready!" looking at her struggling to put her bangles on with a frown on her face he gentle took hold of her hand… and looked at her…. Gentle guiding the bangles up her hand as he looking into the depth of her beautiful brown eyes…. Her simplicity was just breath taking the way her hair kissed her shoulders gentle as she walked and her bangles gentle clashed like bells.

"Shiv what's the matter?"

"I can't believe how beautiful you are …I have never seen such…." Seeing her blushed he gentle went closure to her.

"I'm dieing to kiss you right now!" as she blushed more deeply she turned around to catch her breath….taking hold of her hand we climbed the deep stairs towards the mandir.

Watching her holding her hand together with her eyes closed I noticed her loose hair and gentle placed my hand forward and feeling a tingling sensation all over my body I pushed it back feeling her body gentle shiver I knew she felt it too.

"what did you ask for?" I asked looking at her with the tray of offering in her hand.

"I'm not telling!" her eyes told me everything as she looked at me…

"I asked for you're happiness…."

"Shiv we have to tire this thread on the tree for …our blessing to be accepted!" looking at the scared red thread we approached the old tree in the court yard….It was cover with thread and not a part of the branch or tree was spared….All the couples where tying there thread and she placed it gentle in my palm.

"The priest said it was vital for couples to tire a thread on the old Mata rani's tree… as then our bond would with stand anything life through at us…." I never really believed in such thing but for some reason this all seemed very important to her … and I just went along with.

"Shiv look at that branch!" her eyes found a small part of a branch and I tired the thread as I knotted it I silently prayed she got what she wanted as I have a hard road to follow but it was nothing like what she had been through…. How now I wished now I had prayed she could have been mine! Even now if the devil wanted my soul I would give it to him without a moments hesitation just for him to freeze our time together…

"Gauri?" we turned to see an established elderly gentleman looking at us surprised.

"Daddy ji?" I stared at her face as she froze and looked slightly taken away by his presence.

"Look who is with us!" As we watched we saw a talk blue eyed individual looking at her and then me….

"Daddy ji…this is Shiv!" Feeling her awkwardness I stepped in.

"Hi Shiv Kapoor… I'm a counselor at the camp to… as Gauri was on her way to Kolkatta …I joined her to see my grandparents!" the elder gentleman looked at me alittle taken back as Shanshank just looked at Gauri which was killing me inside.

"Gauri beta take this tray and go with Shanshank to the priest …. I want final get you to tire the thread on the divine tree and get you're and Shanshanks jodi blessed…." I could tell she did not want to move, just seeing her look of helpless look back at me… made my heart cry…. As I saw them tire the thread she looked at me in tears……

"Kapoor?… any relation to Mahen?"

"Yes sir my father!"

The rest of the journey on the train was so hard and I think we both died a thousand deaths… as her father spoken no stop about Shanshanks degree and how as soon as Gauri exams were completed by July…. Shanshank never spoke to me but sat next to her on the train.. and leaned forward and whispered in her ear… I could feel my blood boil…his father had talked to me informing me of ….his business in Kolkatta… how they were number one in the rag trade…. I just could not take my eyes of her as she sat in front of me with her eyes lowered and looking like a frighten bird sitting next to a cat … who was dieing to eat her.

"Excuse me sir I have too…" I just could not take it anymore I had to leave the cabin… I felt as if I was being choked…. As I turned back to look at her she closed her eyes….

Feeling the air from the open window I took a deep breath…….

"Shiv!" I looked to see her …. I quickly took hold of her hand and pushed her into a VIP cabin with black tinted windows left the light off… as I did not want us to be seen…

"I…. Love you… I can't bear to see him near you…" I took hold of her in my arms and held her ….i realized then what she meant to me!! Feeling her trembling body around my arms I held onto her … I kissed her again and again…

As I watched her sit back down next to him… the plan formed inside my head as to what I needed to do…………..
