Hi girls, I'm so behind on the episodes I don't even understand what you guys are talking about
I've been traveling this week and would be out next week as well, mostly in areas with limited net access, so won't be able to catch up with the episodes. Whenever I do, expect a long post!
Just wanted to drop by and let you guys know I miss y'all 🤗
I keep reading and enjoying your analysis and look forward to catching up with the episodes, whenever that happens!!

Hi😊
You can download the voot app from play store. All the episodes are available there. Also, you can watch the episodes on voot.com incase you want to watch it on your laptop/PC

Yes, the drunk scene was pretty cute. My friends would be better able to elaborate on the other episodes.

Hope this helps!

It has been a crazy week so I binge watched again this weekend to distress...
@Bookworm - Sapna Jahan is now my new favorite song. Can you imagine I hadn't even seen the movie 'Brothers' and didn't know this song existed until now :)

ok, so here's what I think. (Disclaimer: I have no idea of the offscreen drama but guess much was going on. It shows in how they closed Season 1)...
Think towards the end of Season 1, many cast members wanted to leave the show. Actors playing Manik, Cabir especially... so the track after the 'almost sex' episodes till their consummation seemed like the makers were closing all open loops. I kind of liked it... In the planning to end the show, they didn't leave any tracks open... even minor things were addressed - something most shows simply ignore as the show races towards its end...
Some of the earlier tracks were handled in a silly fashion but towards the end, they didn't have the luxury to drag and am glad for that...

@Malvika - Don't see the final episode. Its completely botched up. Just end with the final consummation ep and close it...

What's best about the show is the thoughtfully written characters and careful characterization. Their interactions with each other is what makes this show. The tracks are there just to move the story but handled in quite a simplistic fashion...

Because I watched the last episode, something felt incomplete and I wanted to see what happened next... so I tuned in to Season 2. Watched first few episodes and thy feel like an epilogue to Season 1. The way they keep remembering Manik at every step, the way they keep showing Manik's scenes from Season 1 - they are ensuring that the character stays with the audience... If an actor has left & the character needs to be edited out, this is not how you make a smooth transition. Makes me think they never wanted to make a transition. It all feels like they are making the audience desperate to get the lead back, paving the way for it and then the lead gets back...

I could be completely wrong and I have no idea of any offscreen politics but this is how it comes out to someone new to the show...

I take Season 2 as more of a closure to Season 1... The remaining characters are gearing themselves to move on in life & then they move on - Closure.

I am sure much happened behind the scenes and audience might be disappointed with the absence of proper stories for each character (something Season 1 has) but offscreen is not what the story is about...and probably building deeper stories for each character would just lengthen the process of closure. So this was really 'what happens 3 months later and a sneak peak into the lives of the loved characters'... that's it.

That's just my interpretation... :)

Am outside now and will respond in detail when I return home.

Meanwhile, I would like to know if you liked nandini's confession sequence in Mangalore?

What did you think of the sapba Hagan sequence, especially the conversation they had when they stopped?

Honestly! I wasn't so convinced with the whole Mangalore track. You are right about the kidnapping right after Manik's confession being really stupid but then it did happen. Nandini was traumatised. But the whole mangalore time was half-baked for me. She was traumatised, she wanted space, she didn't want Manik there but she did want Manik there. She didn't even try to stay away and the resolution of the trauma just seemed very simplistic...
I frankly liked manik's confession better than hers. It just had the right 'love' feel... Nandini's confession was beautiful but I would have liked bit more intensity...
It had a lighter feel to it...

I so wanted to see what happened right after they stopped the foreplay (sapna jahan sequence) but only ep 245 is blocked on YT. Go figure! But from the next episode I gathered that while she is embarrassed and asked him to stop then, he understood and was supportive. He will not do anything she doesn't want... She respects him more for that. I loved how he thought they are back to 'let's b friends first' and was so relieved when she says 'no, it's not like she doesn't want it. It will just take some time'... Totally loved the code they came up with 'the note is too high' 😃 or she came up with rather... And manik's response...'I wonder what I did to deserve you'...
It's the little things that are beautiful in this show...

:) I understand how you feel. I too watched the show a while ago. I felt like re watching after I recommended it to my friends.

I think Manik and Dev are very very different so I am just unable to compare them at all!
