Notes ka season hai toh DT note kaise peeche rehjaata bhala😆

After reading all the posts from the previous thread and a few in this one, I've hardly anything to add. You'll have said almost everything I wanted to.

Actually😆 the start of her note itself looked like a joke to me, when she said that she generally does not reply. Also when she asked if anybody noticed or questioned her why she stopped using twitter, and if she has ever mentioned about her not getting holidays or not being there with her sister when she wanted to. And if she ever let anyone know how she felt. Coz every other day she's either putting up notes, or replying/fighting with fans individually or giving statements in ivs about her grievances. And ofcourse fans also keep begging her to come back when she goes missing from sns. Also, funny how just a day before, she told off a fan that the fan isn't her family and that she will do what she wants even if that means making fool out of herself, it's her life. And then this note quite contradicting.

She also mentioned about the internal things that go on that we don't know about yet expects fans to understand the unseen.

Now coming to "doing the uncomfortable scenes" - I always thought she went out of her comfort zone to achieve what she has in her professional life, her career, and is proud of it. I sure was, as a fan. Acting is an art where the actors' talent is tested. Where they express what is written in words by the writers. But sadly she reduced it all to a series of uncomfortable scenes that she knew her family wouldn't like yet went ahead for the love of fans. This is not the same Niti who said that it was the demand of the script, who acknowledged that they were showing something realistic to the audience through this show. Also that she enjoyed doing the scenes as an actor. I don't understand where did 'respect' and 'heartless' in this context come from. Why the special mention for these scenes now, and the discomfort, when ppl have applauded her for the same work and continue to do whenever revisited(Noor, Genie and me did till recently in the EDT too😆). Why the cribbing now? Fans don't gain from the actors' experience, actors do. Such a disservice to her own work and herself. Respect - such irony.

And a general view - Of course life is not simple or easy. It's our attitude that makes life simpler. Counting on the positives and working towards making ourselves better(pushing our limits is part of it).

Lastly, since she talked about promoting her shows - along with promoting the current shows, a little consideration
(rather than disrespecting and being ignorant) towards the past baby that gave you what you have today wouldn't hurt anyone.

Regarding the pity party and mahaanta saga, it's like a show without any re-watch value but keeps on playing for no good.

You know this problem is not just with them, it's with a lot of the current new tv actors, not all but a lot don't respect the work they do on TV, can't blame them because some of the stuff they make them do is mind-blowingly stupid (like having whole episode based on a pigeon getting inside the house) but not all shows are like that especially not in the beginning but the newer lot are disrespectful to the show right from the beginning. They think they are better than that, but they need to realise that just because it's BW doesn't make everything there respectful, even there they end up doing complete crap at times but because it has the BW tag it is more respectful. They need to understand sometimes things on tv can be better, ever watched Rishta.com, Adalat was good, Arjun was good in the beginning, Baa Bahu aur baby, khichdi, Sarabhai vs Sarabhai and so many more.

Also can I just say that the timing of all this is so strange...how come Niti's grievances only started in season 2? Why will the timing of that not make anyone speculate? Why pretend for so long that everything is hunky dory and suddenly freeze up in season 2? Even for the sake of show promotion, that is quite a ways to go.

All of this only points to the fact that Niti has some long held grudge/grievance that she finally let rip in season 2 for reasons best known to her...these constant justifications and guilt tripping on fans point to someone who constantly feels not appreciated enough...and I honestly don't get why.

Is this because of the trending? Would the situation be different if fans had trended solely for her? But to base literally EVERY thing on that one stupid trend and whoever milked it for whatever reason is surely short-sighted...anyone who takes a second to view the feedback for this show can see how MaNan get that praise as a UNIT...PaNi get that praise equally for their part in playing this...so I really don't get why on earth Niti feels she isn't valued...simply because of some idiotic trolls who spew shit for the heck of it?? Who in this cast doesn't get trolls spewing hate at them? Do they all sit and cry all day about it? Doesn't seem like it.

Only Niti can help herself in this case if she chooses to get some PERSPECTIVE beyond these skewed narratives thrown at her.

Anyone with eyes can see the immense amount of love her work in this show has garnered her...why throw it away over one random trend that happened at one point in time? Is any grudge bigger than all the goodwill she garnered otherwise? Something to think about for her.

This. time and again i see tweets from her "so called fans" saying 2.5 million hate tweets for her. (when there were lets say some 50 hate tweets directed towards her and rest tweets included praises for both PaNi. MaNan edits etc.) But, sadly the actors and their fandoms conveniently choose to ignore the love rather concentrating on the amount of hate they receive. People seem to hold it as a life long grudge. Lol.

The reply to that fan was on her bae posts😆 she puts up bae posts but will get mad on anyone speculating over it.guess she totally believes in living up to her title, "all shades of dramatic".😆 Also, the reply was something like "her life her choice". but when it comes to her work, it is for fan louuu.😳 Sorry, niti ab kaam hi aisa karti ho ki trolling Kare bageir raha nai jaata.😛

The off screen drama continues 😕 I always appreciated niti for her magical role as nandini but her note left a bad taste in my mouth... At the end of day I feel betrayed n hurt as manan fan, looks like I made a complete fool out of myself for loving PaNi aka manan... It looks like hmm hi pagal the Jo manan-manan,pani-pani, krte rhte the, dono apni apni life m mast h ... When at the end they can't handle criticism n bashing, they come with victim card n put all blame on fans... I hv now very well realized that only negative comments are noticed... If u put forth 100 comments of appreciation but 1 comment of criticism, u still become a HATER 😕 So it's better to become ignorant n move on...

Yougaiz. 😆
Looks like my thread served its purpose. Apparently some famous people also read/liked it and made it even more popular. Chalo my two minutes of SNS semi-stardom has also been achieved. 😛 Perhaps it won't make my day, but it will certainly tide me over the next hour. 😆

I am surprised that the thread lasted for even thirty pages, but thank you to the mods for that anyway. Much obliged that you have at least kept it readable this time. 😆

All said and done, thank you for the fab discussion, people. Reminded me of some good times I have had here.

@Anu: Someday I will definitely take you up on that offer of dumping Genie and running away together. I hope it stays open till then. 😛

On a slightly different note, since I was still looking through old threads...look what I found...
Their hands tell a story of their own. And that has been so consistent from Day One. We like to say pretty stuff like their story was written in stars and fireflies, but it's really their hands, and all these myriad ways that their fingers find each other in every situation. In joy, in sorrow. In anger, in peace. In quiet conversations or in the middle of a raging mudfight. In togetherness or in separation. When they were strangers and now when they are each other's world. Always.

To anyone who's been watching KY2 with some degree of attention, it must be pretty evident by now how important their 'hands' are to this story. Their first touch when he saved her fireflies. The way she observes his fingers nervously tapping the table even though he's commanding her to smile. The ice-breaker between them during the first break scene, when they are weighed down by worries and desperately need someone to talk to. The way their fingers intertwine when they have their first intimate moment on Diwali, under the stars she'd gifted him. Musicana night, when she can't bear to even look at him and her tears are killing him, they stand side by side in silence, unable to talk to each other, and yet their hands brush together and leave this awareness of what they truly have. Her mad desperation to save his hand from being amputated, so much so that she makes herself walk away from him but can't stay away. Him shoving her hand away in agony because he's so angry, hurt, and scared that she doesn't really trust him, that he really might be the Monster. And then there are ones like we saw yesterday. How his fingers jolt, and then automatically curl into hers when she puts her hand over his. Their hands really say it all, even when they can't make themselves look into each other's eyes, let alone talk.
Maybe ppl forget that this is the same Box who has wholeheartedly appreciated and defended this story and Nandini for a long time...so easily she is now being mislabeled as a basher.

Areyyy. Kya yaad dila diya. Once upon a time, main bhi gush karti thi. 😆

This gif made by ruby is still one of my favourites. So much prettiness and emotion in one frame. I dearly hope none of this was uncomfortable or done only for the sake of fans. THIS was the story of MaNan which had HEART in its writing and execution, and touched all of us in some way, and I will even tolerate being labelled as a "basher" if it means I can keep at least this memory intact.

Box, sorry but I had to chime in on the reader/writer connotation. A writer pens his take, his interpretation and a reader can/should interpret the written work/note in his/her way. Both are right , in their own way. Neither the written word makes the writer "right" nor the reader with his/'her interpretation. Opine and criticism. If you are putting an opinion or comment then you should let the other side chime in as well ( hence this dissection of an opinion stated by Niti).

So the surprise shouldn't be about the reactions and the interpretations.

Even the supreme court order and constitution is freely debated, interpreted and CRITICIZED. it is not giving someone a taste of their medicine but putting forward a disagreement over certain views expressed.

Niti addressed the general fandom . MaNan , Parthian, Nitian , PaNi and the likes. So her comment would be interpreted and opined by a large audience.

I don't understand how the interpretation about her speaking for Parth has been made regarding the "uncomfy scenes". That might be some reader's [perspective but definitely not mine. Because of the excessive usage of "My and I".

She also generalized how Parth's work with her current boss was not bashed/trolled/criticized. Gross generalization when the same commentators who chimed their opinion and trolled Parth for the same. Their choice of the dislike for VG is their own and for their own reasons. Her assumptions was very skewed.

Another one about her work grievances regarding leaves etc . it's a management issue and she should have taken it with PH , channel..yet I am under the impression she is okay to working with them . So , I don't need why must she repeatedly share this with the fans- who neither have the power nor the understanding of the workings of her job or the schedule. I don't see the reason why she would mention this to the bashers- who , if at all , she addressed the note. Your work hours, your paid job is your own issue . Deal with it. If you have a problem , voice to the right quarters.

Now the one she dropped on us- Mtv, KY2's own creative has repeatedly mentioned that with this show they have tried to push the envelope. Audience was in the dark about the scenes, the story and the interpretation. Niti , signed the the show knowing the demographic , the reach and the content . she pushed her own boundaries , her own sensibilities FOR HER OWN SAKE. Not for fan love - thats an easy cope out. You cannot reason there that the sole aim of her doing those scenes was "fan love". The "fan love" is a reaction to the work she did . it was a job that she signed for and was duly applauded. Rather we all appreciated her dedication and work ethics. And her , what I presumed , 'unapologetic choices".

I don't know how the analogy is drawn with parth's return. Because that was , demanded by fans, trended and they take full credit for it, rather shamelessly. Still, it was Parth's own choice to heed to their demand. He is not writing notes stating he went out of his way or was "uncomfortable" but did it for fan louu.😆. If he has , he would be criticized too.

No such demand was made to Niti , infact audience was surprised since the first kiss. That was the demand of her job ,not for her fans or audience. Even then , the choice and right to go with it is her own.

In both cases, however, varied the scenarios be the choices and the decisions they take are their own.

Niti compered her bashing with her other co-actors who are doing shows with her boss. Umm, disagree, both the co-actors were bashed during the course of her previous show, given much less love and more hate for their crass behaviour and bad acting.

Anyway, this is freedom of internet. As much as detest the internet hate , the sad reality is , there is nothing nobody can do on sns. Or ISIS would be banned from posting. You make your choice to pay attention to nameless/faceless people or ignore or fight against them. Just like I or anyone else cannot stop people on sns from name calling me for stating my opinion on a 3rd person. Their choice , their decision and their time.

Again , I repeat , Niti , would be the last person from this cast who I would like to troll. The only reason why I even bother is because it's her . Someone I invested myself in. Criticism is part of life, she and others need to deal with it.

If you can interpret ,, draw up conclusions after having observed my comments over the phase of this show and beyond then how can we stop others from doing the same about Niti. Where does the question of mis-interpretation comes? It's simply two different opinions.
Why must there be a middle path? This is neither bashing nor hate .But a critique.

FOE for me stands for those too who offend/annoy or hate me. I would criticize their comments/opinions but not their right.

👏 I don't know why...but when I read Niti's notes I felt such a lack of maturity..that I was unable to differentiate...what actually she wanted to say
Your views explains all ...

This.

@Bold - Thanks for bringing that up.

Also, once she mentioned about unfair treatment in her workplace. I'm not sure to what extent it is true, but I'm sure it's not coz of gender. Would she have had issues had she been the one being given special treatment or more pay compared to her co-actor who works the same hours as her?

Time and again I read how she's the one being bashed the most or the only one being bashed or only being bashed and that for no fault of hers as if the whole world is conspiring against her for reasons best known to them(Let's not even talk about the hypocrisy when it comes to standing against bashing). I even read how she has been tortured through KY2 journey. I wonder if these ppl even think before speaking! They victimize her all the time and entertain her sob stories. Now I know when I read some posts from these fans, what her next post content would be😆

On a serious note if fans truly love her like they claim to, they should point it out when something is not right rather than support her in the name of opinions. Coz this constant cribbing actually becomes a habit which is not good. She might be like any normal human beings with same emotions and instincts but she's a public figure, an actor too. Media and others from the industry follow her. Production houses might check her sns before casting her in shows. If they read her notes, it gives such a wrong impression about everything mentioned in it.
