it was around 5.30 am when a constant buzz of phone broke manik's sleep.. he looked at his phone with sleepy eyes but it wasn't his phone that was ringing it was nandini's phone.. "who might be calling at this hour.." he thought and looked to find a private number calling.. since it was a private number and manik couldn't see it he became conscious considering the stalker threat.. after pondering for few minutes he answered the call.. before manik could speak a word there came a voice from the other side "good morning babyness.." manik was startled while the person continued "i know you don't know me as we haven't interacted much because of that manik malhotra.. i know that he took that bouquet and didn't let it reach it too you.." manik's bool was boiling hearing these words but he kept quite and listened while slowly moving away from nandini so that she doesn't get disturbed..
oblivious to the fact that he was speaking to the wrong person the stalker kept on talking "since manik won't let my gifts reach to you here i am talking to you.. tell manik that he can stop a bouquet but he can't stop my love to reach from you.." by now manik's anger was at its peek and before the guy could say another word manik cut him off by saying "wrong move dude.. rule number one check with whom you are talking and rule number two and the most important rule don't ever even think of messing with manik malhotra.. nandini was, is and will always be mine and just know how to protect her.. and now rule number three run before i catch hold off you cause once i get to know who you are you won't be alive to see the next morning.." and manik disconnected the call..
just as he was about to turn he felt a tiny supple body crashing into his hard worked out back and two tiny hands clutching his vest tightly.. it didn't take him a moment to realize it was nandini and also that she has heard every ting.. he tried to move but nandini won't just let him move.. he held her hands and said "princess! lemme see your pretty face first thing in the morning.." is honey dipped tone made her heart a little stronger and she let him turn.. the first thing manik noticed was the freight on her face and the tears ready to make their way out.. he knew she was scared.. he knew she needed him more than ever.. he too was scared what if that stalker tries to harm nandini but he couldn't let that come on his face.. so he cupped her face and entangled his hands in her ear placing his forehead on her's and said "nandini trust me nothing and no one can come between us.. promise me you'll be brave.. i can fight the world nandini if you are there with me.." nandini pushed herself in his chest and buried her head saying "i am always there with you manik.." "we will see this off together.. and i promise you nandini we will be together always" nandini replies "and forever.."
after spending some more time in each other's embrace and making sure that nandini is all ok manik and nandini walked out as manik was leaving for home with a promise to be back by 8 am... as soon as they came down they were shocked to see ams all set to leave for mangalore.. "ams what is this are you leaving?" a shocked nandini came running to her.. "haan nandu.. i just came here to see you safe..when i heard about your accident i was very worried about your health but now i return with a peaceful heart and mind.." amms cupped nandini's face wiping her tears and looked at manik and continued "i am happy that my baby is in the safest place she could ever be and with the best person who loves her to moon and back.. manik promise me you will always love her and protect her.."
moved by her words and her faith in him manik took nandini's hand from her and took nandini in a side hug wrapping his arms protectively around her shoulders and said "ams i love nandini with every beat of my heart.. she is my heart... and i promise you that will protect her with every breathe i have and beyond that too" assured by manik's words and knowing that there is no one in this world who can love nandini more than him ams sat in the taxi and bid goodbye to everyone and nandini being emotional girl and her ams's baby hid herself in manik's embrace trying not to cry.. manik smiled at her naiveness and took her in his warmth.. soon after looking the time manik hit the panic button "OMG nandini its 7 am?" to which nandini gave him a confused look..
manik sighed and said "nandini we have a flight to catch in 12 hours.. its london calling baby.." and in excitement he picked nandini and twirled her around laughing ut loud.. he put her down amd placed her feet on his feet, joined their foreheads and said "its going to be very special trip for us nandini but it won't be the last.. it's just the beginning..".. Nandini was happy to see his excitement and even her heart was fluttering of joy and love for manik.. "i trust you manik.." that's all she could say.. manik kissed her forehead and took a leave saying "i'll be back soon.. don't pack till then.." he hurriedly sat in the car ...
as soon as manik walked in malhotra mansion abhi and dj were ready to do some leg pulling.. "ahem ahem.." abhi cleared his throat drawing manik's attention who gave him what happened look.. "are dj look whose here?" abhi exclaimed and manik knew where this convo was going.. "hayee ladoo! i toh forgot only that you live here.." dj said making an innocent face.. "really dj.. early in the morning.." manik said pasting a sarcastic smile.. "haan haan tum kya jaano apni dj ka dukh.. nandini kya mile you forgot me.." dj said getting melodramatic inviting laughs from abhi and rolling eyes from manik.. just as manik was about to say something damini came to manik's rescue saying "dj..abhi very bad.. don't bother my baccha.. he's such a cutie pie.. see kitna innocent romeo hai yeh.." all three of them started laughing leaving manik baffled that his family could be so melodramatic..
"tu kya has raha hai.. chal mere saath.." manik dragged abhi into his bedroom.. once in the bedroom manik told him everything about nandini's stalker.. after listening everything abhi with creases on forehead said "manik it means that he's keeping an eye on nandini 24*7.. we have to be very careful and who knows he might be from space itself if he knows so much about you two.." abhi's words had manik even more worried "i know abhi that's why i am scared to leave nandini alone even for a moment she's scared even with the thoughts of that stalker.." Manik put his hands on manik's shoulder with all his brotherly love "don't worry manik we all will guard nandini with all our life.. trust me all will be fine.."
assured by abhi's words manik got down to packing business.. soon he was done with his packing when he remembered something and walked excitedly into his closet.. he took out the crystal box and opened and took out the anklet and scarf.. he was looking at the anklet and smiled "just few more days stranger.." he put them back in the box and gift wrapped it and packed it safely into his bags.. after completing his packing manik instructed his driver to pick up everyone at 3 pm and drop at airport and left for nandini's house to help her with her packing.. the rest of the day passed in a jiffy for both manik and nandini as they helped each other or should we say manik packed and nandini sat drooling him doing it..
it was 5 pm when everyone found themselves at the airport.. they all were excited to go to london.. mukti abhi it seemed were on a honeymoon all kuchi cooing.. dhruv and alya were lost in their own new found friendship.. cabir was trying to keep an eye on navya who was trying very hard to behave normally and the most most happy couple of the bunch were manik and nandini.. as soon as manik got down from the car he put his hand forward for nandini who took it happily.. they were perfectly color coordinated him a pink tee and white shorts and she in a pink chicken top and white plazzo pants looking breath taking as ever.. "so nandini murthy! are you ready for the new beginning of your life?" manik asked her while bending down and she replied with a smle "our life manik malhotra and yes i am ready.." he kissed her forehead and they both walked in and joined the group...
soon they all found themselves at the check in gate and nandini held manik's hand tightly as she was having fun chat with alya and mukti.. manik couldn't hepl but feel proud as how she made a special place in his loved one's life.. she made them her family.. his smile was her smile.. his tears were her failure.. same was the case for manik too.. nandini's smile was his biggest achievement and her tears were his death... after checking in they all settled in their respective seats in business class being the students of space they were given the best of everything...
"you can old my hand.." manik said to nandini who asked him a why.. "are girls are scared of landing na.." he chuckled.. "hahahah oh manik you are so funny." nandini said with a childish sarcastic tone.. "i am not scared of it ok.." manik smiled and said "ok meri jhansi ki rani.." making her smile.. and soon the plane rolled its wheels and took off with all of them shouting in unison "london here we come!"
wat do we need in life to be happy? is it money? is it power? no all we need is love.. love of a beloved for whom you are the world.. love of family who will be your strength.. love of friends who are your family you choose.. lucky is the man who all three loves in his life.. manik was one such lucky guy who considered him as the most unlucky guy but today he considered himself the luckiest guy in this whole wide world..
