A true relationship is not where everything is pretty and rosy.. A true relationship is the one where two people fight for each other, with each other.. they walk away but always find their way back to each other...

it seemed the long dark night was finally making way for a beautiful sunshine for both manik and nandini who were sleeping away from all the worries of the world blissfully in each other's arms... it was 6.30 am when manik slowly opened his eyes and saw the prettiest sight he could ever see.. his angel sleeping peacefully in his arms... her serene face, pinkish glow and warmth brought a smile on his face and then suddenly he remembered the way she has been waking him up for 2 days.. he got up in a jerk in order to avoid a third consecutive fall.. he kissed her cheeks and started caressing them making her wake up... nandini slowly opened her eyes and said "good morning.." in a super sleepy voice.. hearing her voice manik couldn't stop laughing and said "good morning princess.. listen i will go home now and be back with your breakfast and we will start practice then..." having said this manik dashed off for malhotra mansion without giving nandini a chance to speak anything..

as he ran off nandini sat on thinking how her life took a 360 degree turn... how she thought she found love, how she lost it, how manik came around and how now everything looks different again.. "is it all happening for real? Is manik really changing? Or are you playing some games with me again Aiyappa?" Nandini questioned herself and her faith... but then she remembered mother's words "life is always about giving second chances nandini... you know people make mistakes but if we can look past their mistakes and give them a chance maybe they will surprise us.. true love always prevails beta and if it comes back to you after everything and everyone tried to destroy it never ever let it go.." her mother's words gave nandini much needed strength and she made a resolution to open her heart to manik's love and give them a chance... it won't be easy but love always finds its way and one day even nandini will be able to see past manik's mistakes...

meanwhile manik walked into malhotra mansion and found it quite as usual.. he thought everyone might be sleeping as he was walking upto his room a chorus of voices greeted him "good morning ladoo.." and he turned back to find DJ, badi maa and abhi all smiling at him mischievously.. manik smiled sheepishly and wished them.. badi maa forced him to have tea with them but manik wanted to have nandini's green tea and he was sure she wouldn't know that.. soon damini gave manik his cup saying "presenting nandini special green tea for manik.." manik looked at her with surprise to which she smiled and caressed his forehead saying "i know all about nandini and your love story.. really manik how can you do it? i am so angry that my super sensitive manik did it?" Manik looked down and said "badi maa nandini made this heartless manik a super sensitive manik but i promise i will fix it all.."

as they all sat enjoying their morning tea neyonika walked.. "well well well.." neyonika who was startled to see damini there said in her usual tone keeping her calm.. "this is one sight i never expected to see.. you woman i threw you out of my house 19 years back how dare.." "enough neyonika!" manik's loud shout made her silent scaring the **** out of her.. "i brought badi maa to this house.. and technically this is her house and you are unwelcome here.." manik said which enraged neyonika even more "manik i am your mother don't forget.." she said.. manik let out a sarcastic laugh hearing this and said "i so wish neyonika i could forget that but im not so lucky neither are these people.." manik said pointing it to dj, abhi and damini.. "manik.." neyonika shouted and manik said "shhh! dheere neyonika your voice hurts and early in the morning we would like to hear a cuckoo crooning not a crow's shouting.." saying this manik and dj burst into laughter and neyonika walked off warning them all off serious consequences..

"manik this is wrong beta.." damini tried to reason with manik.. "no badi maa.. neyonika deserves worse then this for everything wrong she has ever done and wrongs that she is going to do now.." manik said.. DJ knew this would go nowhere so she cut in between and said "arre kya damini chalo ready ho jao we have to go and meet nandini.." manik got excited as soon as he heard damini would come and meet nandini.. "badi ma.." he said and damini smiled and "yes manik milaoge na mujhe apni princess se?" manik happily nodded in a yes like a 5 year old..

Soon the entire malhotra clan found themselves in leelavati hospital.. Manik opened the door and found nandini sleeping..he held his badi maa's hand and took her near nandini said "this is.." she cut him in between and said "nandini..i know.." she caressed her cheeks with a motherly touch..nandini opened her eyes to find a woman with big kohl eyes, a beautiful bindi, bangles and a beautiful saree was looking at her and smiling...she was confused.. she looked at manik for answers trying to get up..

manik and damini helped her in sitting and damini said "let me introduce myself nandini.. i am damini malhitra,, abhi and manik malhotra's mother.." as soon as nandini heard this a bright smile appeared on her face "wow you are here.. abhi really missed you.." saying this she hugged her.. initially damini was taken aback but she responded with the same warmth.. everyone present there went aww looking at them cause they were behaving as if they have know each other whole life.. damini looked at manik and winked at him as her approval making manik blush.. she took out nandini's breakfast and started feeding her while abhi took leave to go to college..

soon after the breakfast and nandini's medical check up the doctor came up with a good news that nandini can be taken to her home and a dedicated nurse can be hired and she is on her way to a speedy recovery.. Manik's happiness knew no boundary, he took nandini in a bone crashing hug and said "every time i entered this room and saw you lying here i died a million deaths nandini.." "Manik i am fine relax.." nandini said trying to free herself and calm him down.. Dj ahd to fake cough to bring manik back from nandini land... "can we start the rehearsals its about time.." she smiled and said leaving both manik and nandini blushing like anything...

soon they started going over their lines when manik came across the term 'preppy'.. "preppy? yeh preppy kya hota hai? will jenny call oliver by this name through out" manik started ranting.. Nandini couldn't control her laugh and said "yes oliver is preppy.." then she looked at manik with a hint of mischief and continued "oliver rich, arrogant, spoilt brat who got everything spoon fed.." hearing this manik narrowed his eyes and said "what do you mean are you talking about oliver or me?" nandini smirked and said "oh so you accept it that you are a rich, arrogant spoilt brat who had been spoon fed.. preppy.." hearing this manik started pouting and faking anger making nandini laugh hysterically...

soon the nandini's last day at hospital passed smoothly with rehearsals and some fun moments.. as they were winding up for the day manik went near dj and whispered in her ear 'for how long we are going to rehearse these fight scenes?" though manik just whispered cabir being cabir gussed it and shouted loudly "why you wanna rehearse romantic scenes manikkk.." he started laughing and dj also joined him leaving nandini embarrassed and manik blushing.. seeing manik blush cabir threw one more jab at him "don't you think ajjkal tu kuch zyada hi blush karta hai?" manik rolled his eyes and as he was about to say something else damini walked in with supper for nandini..

DJ and cabir wished nandini good night and left.. soon manik also started to leave but nandini called him "manik.." he looked back at her and said "i'll be back before you sleep.. i have something important to take care off.." he smiled, winked and blew a kiss to her and left..

damini and nandini bonded greatly over the dinner.. sharing life's smiles and tears.. and before she left nandini said "thanks aunty for accepting manik i know it must be difficult for you but you still did it.." damini smiled and said "now i know why my son is madly head over heels in love with you.. nandini he is my husband's son and that is enough for me.. and accepting him is not tough even you know.. yes he makes mistakes too many of them but his purest heart and innocent soul makes it easy for us to love him with all his imperfections cause those imperfections make him perfect.." she kissed nandini goodbye and left...

It was around 10 pm in the night when manik tip toed in nandini's room and found her sitting and watching 'father of the bride' movie... she looked at manik and smiled.. 'you had dinner?" she asked him which took manik by surprise but he was happy with her concern and replied in a yes.. "nandini chalo so jao.. its too late.." manik said adjusting himself next to her while trying to tuck her in bed.. "no manik please please.. I love this movie and wanna watch it please.." she said pleading him with her innocent eyes which manik couldn't say no.. "ok princess.." he smiled and a spurt of moment she hugged him..

manik was surprised as he wasn't expecting a hug from her.. he didn't knew how to react.. sensing his confusion nandini said "one step at a time manik..." and these words were enough for manik and he enclosed in her arms.. they broke the hug and settled to watch the movie... tough manik was not a fan of chick flicks in fact he hated them but today he decided to give it a try because nandini was excited about it.. while nandini was watching the movie, manik was watching her.. he looked at her excitement when she saw the wedding preps being shown in the movie.. the way her eyes glowed made him wonder and finally he asked her 'what's so exciting?" nandini looked at him and said "manik a girl's wedding is the best day of her life.. its the day when she gives herself to the guy who loves her with all his heart... its the day for which every girl dreams.. its the day when she takes oaths, follows every ritual with all her heart and chastity to enter a new relationship with the love of her life... when he is waiting at the end of the isle for her and when she comes in front of her standing at the other end of aisle the look in her man's face, the love in her man's eyes brightens her entire existence.." nandini kept on saying in a trance which moved manik..

wedding for manik was a give and take business courtesy neyonik.. he thought it to be a big joke a kind of business deal where people live together and mate together for their own ulterior purposes untill he heard nandini today.. she made him realize what marriage is about two souls becoming one in the presence of god and their loved ones...

"what kind of wedding you want nandini?" he asked her.. nandini who was lost in the magic of a dream wedding spoke "a white and pink wedding... everything should be white and pink hued.. the mandap should be an open air one under the stars and fireflies with white and pink roses adorning it... the whole place should vibrate with holy chants being ushered to bind two souls as one for eternity... there should be huge earthen diyas giving the whole place a mystical touch.." manik was amazed and he said "promise our wedding will be the one like you want princess.." the moment she heard 'our wedding' she rolled her eyes and blushed.. manik smirked and said coming close to her "you are future mrs manik malhotra.. there is no doubt about that.." and they both drifted in sleep in each other's arms..

one step at a time yes that's what they were taking but these baby steps will go a long way when it would matter.. they would come out stronger from this storm..
