Hey guys!!am back. Again am a bit late. And I couldn't inform you guys. A very big sorry.
Part 16:
"May I come in?" Asked cabir in the most dramatic way making manik sigh and Nandini embarresed. "Why are you asking permission after you have already entered?" Manik asked gritting his teeth. "Sorry bro. Habit" cabir smiled sheeply. "Nice" manik murmered under his breathe clearly annoyed for breaking the special moment. "So how are you, bhabi?" Cabir asked standing besides cabir. "Am good cabir. Thank you" Nandini replied politely. Though Nandini knew cabir was manik's best friend and he considered her a s his sister Nandini kept her distance, not that she didn't trust cabir. She did. But she was happy in her own bubble. "Thankyou? Seriously bhabhi? Aap mujhe parayan kar diya. Dekho manik" cabir faked complaining to manik. "No cabir ESA kuch nahi hein. Its just.." Before Nandini could answer manik replied "cabir,...pareshan mat kar". " wah mere sher biwi mili toh dost ko bhul gayi. Yahi baaki reh gaya tha" he faked tears. "Cabir ..tu ruk.." Manik was cut in between by his phone. "I'll be back, mom ka call hein" manik excused himself leaving a chilled out cabir and an awkward Nandini.
"So how are you?" Cabir asked to ease the awkward silence rising. "Am getting better. Card toh ho rahi hein but I'll be good. Am scared for manik. He is..." Nandini couldn't complete the sentence as tears choked her. "Nandini, he'll be fine. I know. He won't show it outside but he is very much broken. Your love and care can bring him back. And get well soon. That'll be like a big relief for him. Seeing you like this won't help him much. So get well as soon as possible. But ha dnt do anything stupid so that he'll think you are fine. He knows you much too well for that." Cabir said with brotherly affection. "Yea I will..I can't see him like this. Its too much. Cabir can I ask something. Don't tell maink" Nandini asked doubtfully. "Yea Nandini anything" cabir replied. "Woh I want to find out who did this" Nandini said looking straight into cabir's eyes. Cabir have seen and known nandini, but the determination in her eyes was something different. "I will. But why you wanna find out? I mean am sure manik will find out who it is at any cost." Cabir asked. "That's the exact reason I wanna know before he does.I know him, he won't leave whoever the person is and won't let me know. He will destroy everything. I dnt want him to destroy himself in the process. Please cabir I wanna know this for him. I want to. Please" her voice started breaking towards the end. "Don't worry I'll do my best to find out who this is. You don't worry. Just get well fast and give us our manik back" cabir ensured her.
"Mein thodi der keliye baahar gayi aur tum log itna baat karne lagi. Kya baat ho rahi hein mujhe bhi batao" manik came and sat near Nandini on her bed and held her hands under the blanket. Nandini could sense manik's restlessness. She gently squeezed his hands reassuring him. "So that's my cue to leave. Am going. Nandini take care and manik I'll see you later" cabir left leaving manik and Nandini alone. "So kya baat ho rahi thi?" Manik asked making nadini lie down. "Manik", she held his hand. " please lie down with me. Please" Nandini pleaded. "But nandu.." Manik was shushed by a small peck on his lips. "No buts..you want me to get well right then you have to be here with me" she pulled his shirt lightly. Manik didn't protest again. He knew he wanted to hug her, feel her, make sure she was alright, but right now her health was everything. He left his shoes and slipped inside the blanket and Nandini lie down besides him keeping her head on his shoulder and he gently scooped her and held her close to him. Manik heard Nandini leaving a sigh of relief and this left a small smile on his face. Within seconds he could sense her breathing getting stable. He turned his face to come close to her sleeping face and gently kissed her lips. "Get well soon nandu" he whispered and closed his eyes.
After what it seemed like ages manik slept peacefully knowing that she was there in his arms sleeping like a baby. After a few hours He was woke by whisperings. He opened his eyes and checked Nandini who was still sleeping clinging on to him while manik had secured her in himself like a cocoon. He looked around to check the sound when he saw dhruv and nyonika standing there."mom, dhruv aap log kab aayi" he tried standing up to be stopped by nyonika. "Don't. U stay there only. We'll come later. If u get up she'll also wake up. Let her sleep. She needs rest." Saying this nyonika left. "She'll be alright dhruv" manik reassured as he knew Nandini was not just his bhabhi but his best friend. "Yea bhai. Take care of her and yourself." Saying this dhruv also left. Manik turned to look at Nandini. Her face started to gain its color. She was not pale anymore. He gently traced her eyes, cheeks and lips. "What are you doing to me nandu? Come back. I want you to be there with me for me to fight. I can't do anything without you. You know that. Why you made me so addicted and dependent on you huh? " manik whispered to a sleeping Nandini. As I'd she could hear him and feel his touch she smiled softly putting a smile on manik's smile.

Since am in the last 3 months of my college I have got loads of projects, exams and all...but I'll try my best. Thankyou all for supporting me all this while.
