Feminism.

It's one of the most misunderstood words IMO. People associate feminism with crazy women running around naked preaching and cutting off men's balls.

Hardly.

There's so much more to feminism. First of all, any step towards feminism is a step I appreciate. So on that regard MTv kudos. Trying is better than not trying at all.

However.

I have a bone to pick with you.

Seriously you picked Mukti to be your brand ambassador for feminism? Wearing short clothes and going to clubs, that's all feminism and woman rights is about? She is someone who succumbs so easily to the men in her life. How is that a sign of a strong woman? Are you really sending the right message here?

Be a door-mat but it's alright as long as you look hep?

So while this is indeed a great idea, it falls flat on its face 'cause Mukti is an annoying, whiny, spoiled brat of a girl who wallows in self pity due to her first world problems.

Re-consider your priorities MTv.

actually feminism is associated with eccentric ladies who do nothing but fight for whatever reason they get, it's true, just ask any male friends of yours this will be their answer...😛
while for us girls feminism is about our own individuality, our freedom...

about Mukti, i seriously feel sad as a girl, but strangely i also cannot connect because the story was too abrupt and lacked execution

13th 🤗

Seriously Mukti as a feminist is just so much LEL. Hell Navya is more of a feminist than this whiny toddler. 🤔

Exactly. That's why it annoys me. It's so much more. I wish MTv approached it that way.

well given that they are promoting a movie, perhaps they didnt get much time to incorporate Sunny's entry and also used CCs bashing as reference and created a story within a few hours with lots of loopholes😕

Dealing with feminism in such a flippant manner annoys me.

Well said!
Mukti is the worst example one could give for feminism...every single time she faces a problem, she runs towards some random man... instead of dealing with it

and the s**twalk they are gng to show...isn't that supposed to show...she wear whatever we want and we live the way we like it?
whatz the point of showing every gal in a short dress then? shouldn't they be gals wearing the clothes, they are comfortable in and say that...whatever dress they wear, it's their choice and shouldn't be judged based on that?

They chose the wrong person and they are showing it the wrong way

The reason it falls flat is 'cause Mukti lives the high life among the elite where everyone wears short clothes and no one looks at it differently... i mean where's her great "struggle" so far?

As for the s**t walk in itself.. while that is a powerful way to send a message indeed, I feel their reason for it is hardly convincing enough. We can't root for the cause when we don't feel the struggle.
