Seriously Mukti as a feminist is just so much LEL. Hell Navya is more of a feminist than this whiny toddler. 🤔

Bolt🤗

Exactly. And if that weren't bad enough, they're gonna make Nandu wear short clothes to endorse that useless woman's "cause"🤔

It cannot get more ridiculous than that.

Yes because pulling a girl outta her comfort zone is about feminism... um no. Opposite actually. 🤔

As for the s**t walk in itself.. while that is a powerful way to send a message indeed, I feel their reason for it is hardly convincing enough. We can't root for the cause when we don't feel the struggle.

@bold - Exactly!
Even with the whole issue, if we consider it as one, isn't mukti at fault? not bcoz of her dressing, but for making this as an issue...
the only real issue is today's saree draping...even in that scene, mukti was standing like a statue...exactly opposite to character we saw so far
and random politician popping all of us a sudden is ridiculous

Quoted from your post: Wearing short clothes and going to clubs, that's all feminism and woman rights is about? She is someone who succumbs so easily to the men in her life. How is that a sign of a strong woman? Are you really sending the right message here?

👏👏 I liked what you mentioned here... Yes, few of us still have the misconception about feminism thus making a craziness out of the confusion between the real and fake ones...

But I would like to mention something from my perception... For me, it's not about Mukti at all here.. And I don't see this drama as using Mukti as the brand ambassador for feminism! And it's neither about what kind of character she is... nor about her way of dressing... And not at all whether she remorses for her past evil acts or not... It's all about what my mentality is, on seeing the ill-thing happening to her... THAT's IT!!!

Am I going to see her as a fellow human being harrassed by some random people in the name of moral policing or am I going to sit down here pin-pointing to her mistakes in the past and leaving her to karma to deal with her?
If I do the former, then well and good... I am paving way for safety of a fellow human being...
If I choose the latter , then I have problem with my mentality... Then what good I am doing to the society when I complain "What a sick mentality people" who is just sitting around and doing that!!! Giving excuses for not acting on the scene but analysing on why and what is happening around it... It's high time I correct it now or I will have to sit and watch many more such mental people around me letting things happen to people all around... including me... 'cos they are out there judging my character and my past instead of acting on the evil things happening right in front of them...

Kudos fire bolt!! you have made a fair point 👏 I feel Feminism has gone for a toss with Mukti as its brand ambassador!!😡 seriously!! 🤢
I believe that feminism is not about clothes or doing something just to prove that we are better than the other gender!! but it is in fact a resolve to stay grounded, brimming with self respect and trying to strive to be ourselves and commanding respect for what we are and not rather for what we are not!!
Mukti for me is all what you have described , and I feel she is herself ashamed of being a woman as if you people remember in the Diwali episode she is feeling disgusted wearing feminine clothes!!
I think first she should respect the fact that she is a woman!!😲
Well isn't Mukti the fire brand girl ( er.. tomboy!!) then why was she not responding when that dirty politician was draping that saree on her!! so much for her firepower!! 😡 I mean her actions were so much in contrast with her character!! 😕 It seemed she was shocked out of her wits!! If you feel you are right then you should stand for it , and not become weak when you have to face it and that is feminism!!

Coming to feminism, yes the movement is a good one on MTV as our county needs more of it to change mindsets which have always objectified women infact women themselves need to change their thinking as no one can mess with them unless they allow someone to. In the show too, Mukti invited a jerk like Rocky...so there you have it!!😕 As for Nandini and Navya to change the way they dress to drive home a point ( I am talking about the scheduled special Friday episode with Sunny leone!!) is ridiculous!!
I feel Nandini and Navya can give the message without changing themselves and that is Feminism , being strong and being yourself!! Hope I have not offended anyone 😊
I support the cause though as I am woman and wouldn't like any other woman to be disgraced by some self proclaimed moral police. It is our right to be ourselves and no body can take it from us.

It's an insult to any kind of feminism to use it as a hash-up to cover seriously problematic individuals..and honestly, this seems more..seems kya, this is more of blaming the other sex for everything and anything that goes wrong in one's life.
there are multiple feminisms but ALL of them are in many ways about negotiating with power relationships, hegemonic constructs of any society, self-dignity and agency.
But, now, it's become this one-dimensional word and is thrown around like one act=feminism and yay all problems solved. it's a politics and it changes and evolves.
But well, who am I kidding?
Thanks Bolty for this post. MTV needs to stop belittling things that matter and politics that are too fraught with complexities.
UGH. *still disgusted*

You know feminism is completely misunderstood.
Dare I say feminism is all about wearing short dresses, drinking, sleeping around! What are they even thinking to dare show us this!
Feminism is fighting for what a girl believes, for her respect, for her choice n views!
One can fight to wear sarees or shorts!
The issues here is not to judge a girl on what she wears or does!
The issue is to stop shoving their opinions on us girls!
This is being very badly dealt here! Mukti or someone else doesn't really matter here! The story matters, n sadly this has been very badly dealt with!
Another point, when manik saw that action, he didn't do anything. But once he saw it was Mutki he rushed to save her!
So what mentality change are they even talking about?
Help only your friends, n z rest just ignore!
