Guys, one thing though, while I know that Manik has been put at the centre of the narrative, let's not disregard Dhruv and his personality like Genie said.

The major point is that while Manik did indirectly gave Dhruv-Nandini a push, Nandini herself took the friendship forward. Dhruv is an extremely intriguing character and this revelation has put him on the spot too. His character just ended up with more layers than before. The conclusion on Dhruv's character from my side, is the notable indecisiveness. Dhruv didn't actually make any decision even before, rather was following Manik's instructions, hence when he actually rebelled against Manik for Nandini, Manik's shock is even more obvious.
Manik's tendency to coddle people like children has rendered Dhruv incapable of making a decision. The biggest plot point is how he will rebel against Fab-5 and Manik to be with Nandini. Dhruv's journey is from indecisiveness to revolution of sorts. This twist opened a major road for Dhruv as a character as well. Before it was two friends fighting, now it is a guy fighting his own personality.

THIS. +1. Couldnt have put it any better.

Dhruv is an intriguing character - come what may, he is going to be there throughout the show, not only because he shares this deep bond with Manik. He equally has a story of his own that needs to develop, like every other character in this show.

Nandu will not break her friendship with Dhruv, but she will perhaps see him different (and obviously lean more towards Manik, though I think she has already seen the goodness in Manik, but it can surely reinforce it further, so she can help Manik bring that side of him out for everyone). She will probably help Dhruv in discovering him, building himself. I think for both Manik and Nandu, Dhruv & Risabh are very vulnerable to them, someone who they want to protect...hence, their secret mission...Also, the white light/flash that is linked between Dhruv's & Risabh's attack is another subplot all together...

Picture abhi baake hain...lots more ahead 😆

Edit: Guys, we have taken this discussion so so so ahead...even ahead than the writers of the show 😆

I am not saying Manik is all "the wow" guy just coz he had it all covered. That doesn't take away from all the bullying he had done. But we got to see another layer of him. The true savior.
Dhruv has a lot of layers and he has a lot to figure out, not just about his feelings for Nandu or vice Versa, but also his own personality. He needs to figure out his real self.

It will be interesting to watch the new Dhruv w/o any inhibitions and w/o Manik telling him wht to do...it will be a surprise not only for nandu but for Manik as well...but i'm only hoping tht after coming out of manik's shadow he does not get stuck with alya...though she is helping him open up in terms of love...she is not preparing him for the worst case scenarios and tht might lead to repercussions later on...

For me Dhruv has become a lot more interesting. There is a reason for his passivity and now this whole heart-break will force him to retrospect himself and open up, by also not giving up on the core him.

His feelings might lack depth but they come from a very pure place. His friendship might have had a false start, he truly cared for Nandu after knowing her. He had his revolution and break from manik's protection because of her. Nandu has given him a purpose that takes him beyond fab5 and particularly Manik. Dhruv post the heart-break even during it , is sooo intriguing. This is why he has taken a back-seat, because his story begins post the interval.

Manik even now continues to be a mystery for me. I might have an idea about what he did but the whys and his unpredictability keeps him interesting. How did he held on to his goodness even though he has a very cynical approach to life . His surroundings, upbringing - what kept him going. The broken , crying Manik will be so perfect.

Dhruv sure becomes more interesting, his character seems to have a lot more shades than I expected it did. But i will look ta him in a different way all together now. But then maybe the CV's wanted us viewers to look at him in a different light and analyse him in a different manner.

Coming to Manik...yes it will be another amazing journey to know as to why he still is good. He is a broken child as Mukti called them and it will be a totally different side to see what kept him rooted at heart.

This episode threw light on the fact that Manik's life was NEVER dark...yes there were tears, lots of them I am sure...but it was never gloomy and black.

@bold I ma so waiting for it,

^^ Genie, tum toh bas matlab, perfect. <3
Everything I wanted to say but couldn't properly.
@Bushra, yeah, that was exactly my point. Dhruv has actually emerged as an even more intriguing character than before. Manik's disbelief at being punched by Dhruv, his subsequent feeling of betrayal make more sense now that this path has opened up.
It's because Manik is aware that Dhruv is somehow incapable of taking a decision without him or Fab-5, look at how Alya is pushing him as well. My point is then, does Manik knowingly control people or is it a subconscious process?
We know that he is a control-freak, but does HE himself know he is one and hence he cannot believe Dhruv rebelling against him or Nandini going against him? This is such a good point, only if they could use it well.
Anyway, yeah, great discussion. I like how this show gave us something to talk about at least. Not many do, so.
