Ali does a crash course
Ali Asgar, aka Kamal Agarwal of Kahani Ghar Ghar Ki fame is determined to make it big in the B-Town as well. The actor recently finished shooting for Ashim Samanta's Mithun Chakraborty starrer Don Muthuswami and is all praise for Mithunda. "It's like a dream come true for me to work with Mithunda. I have grown up watching his movies so working with him was like doing a crash course in acting. I have learnt tremendously from him," admits Ali.
However, it's not only Mithun who he looks up to as his 'teacher' of acting skills. Nana Patekar is another name in his list of icons. Ali is currently shooting for the Nana starrer Horn Ok Pleassss directed by Rakesh Sarang. "I am speechless after having worked with Nanaji. He is fantastic in whatever he does," says Ali. Apart from Horn…, Ali is also busy shooting for Short Cut directed by Neeraj Vora and has recently produced a Marathi film Mann Pakhroo Pakhroo starring Sachin Pilgaonkar and Prashant Damle.

Vijay Agrawal comes from England; he is related to Aditi who claims that she is Parvati's daughter. So he knows Aditi's background and will soon reveal the mystery about her. You cannot say it is a negative role but one with grey shades," says Mukul.
Talking about his shooting experience, he says:" So far it has been good. They are lovely people to work with. I have interacted with only the creative team so far. In fact I have not met Ekta after joining the show. I have met her in the past and I would love to meet her again. But it is very chilled out over here."
This is Mukul's second consecutive negative role on TV. "For me the entire transition is very important. I always wanted to play a negative role. When I used to say this people used to laugh and say that he has a very sweet looking face and he cannot do this kind of a role. So I wanted all of them to take me seriously and change their opinion about it."
Mukul will soon be seen in Sagar Arts' new show Arsaln. "This is the story of a boy whose life changes after he comes in contact with a man. I cannot reveal too many details about it as I have not started shooting for it."
Meanwhile, Mukul's comedy film De Taali with Riteish Deshmukh, Aftab Shivdasani and Ayesha Takia is ready for release. "We have shot for the film in India, New Zealand and Bangkok. It was lovely to work with all of them. Riteish is the biggest prankster though he did not play any prank on me. But we used to pull each other's leg."
Mukul's character in Kahaani is a cameo which will last at least for three months. He is also filming for a Punjabi flick Mitti with Mika.

Parvati bhabhi hospitalised
Saakshi Tanwar, the perennial Parvati Bhabhi of Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii, has not been keeping well for quite some time and has been advised complete bed rest.
Subsequently, she has been unable to shoot for her show Yeh Hai Jalwa. But for her patent show Kahaani, 'cheat shoot' has salvaged the situation.
It all started with Saakshi collapsing on the sets of Ekta Kapoor's Mahabharata while shooting in
Ladakh. She lost consciousness because of altitude sickness and was rushed to the hospital.
A source says, "The shooting was completed somehow. Saakshi was later shifted to a hospital in
Delhi. After recuperating, she came back to Mumbai. But here again her body temperature
continued remaining unsteady. She was hospitalised again but was discharged four days later."
The source continues, "Saakshi could not shoot for her dance show Jalwa for two weeks. The production house is just doing the needful with Smriti Irani, the co-anchor. But, Kahaani is a different ballgame altogether. She is the face of the show. That's why she came to the sets and did her bit with cheat shoots."
Bonnie Jain, the producer of Jalwa says, "Yes, Saakshi is not shooting with us for the past two episodes. The last time she shot with us was on April 29. We want the well-being of our actors rather than forcing them to shoot."
Has she shot for Kahaani? "I don't think so. I can't comment on that. She is very popular. That's why we have roped her to host the show. We hope she can shoot the next episode," he adds.
Nivedia Basu, creative director of Balaji says, "Yes, Sakshi was unwell for a few days. But, she came for the Kahaani shoot. We finished shooting with cheat shoots."
Saakshi was not available for comment.
Saakshi Tanwar aka Parvati, Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii has denied that she was admitted to Bombay Hospital after shooting for Mahabharata in Ladakh. The actress says she is very much busy shooting for all her shows.
Saakshi clarifies, "I was never admitted to Bombay hospital and I am working on all my shows. I am tired of answering people's calls regarding my well-being. I have so many scenes in each of my shows so how can I not be shooting."
Adds Saakshi, "I have constantly been shooting for the last four days. The shooting for Mahabharata in Ladakh is over now I am busy shooting for Kahaani. Such reports can even harm my career."
Suraj Rao, Creative Head from Mahabharata, reiterates, "Saakshi was not admitted to the hospital. Altitude problem is quite common but it was not so serious. She was quite normal."
Saakshi plays an important character in Mahabharata. She is also anchoring Yeh Hai Jalwa with Smriti Irani and shooting for Kahaani.

It was love at first site for Ali, "Sarah used to come to my mother's beauty parlour in my building. I would always take leave of my mother at her parlour before going on my shift. I had seen her six times in the parlour and then I inquired about her. My mother informed me that she is an actress and appears in Bidaai. Until then, I hadn't known of her as an actress or the show!"
The first word Sarah said to Ali was "excuse me". " I was a nominee in the Sansui Awards and I was sitting along with Jay Bhanushali and Jatin Shah. Sarah wanted to cross over and that is when I was in her way. So she excused herself smiling at me. Then again when I went to Sahara Star with my friends, I saw Sarah there with some of her friends. This was our second meeting. I went up to her and asked if she wouldn't mind her friends going ahead and me dropping her at her doorstep. Luckily for me, she agreed to stay back. I owe this to Jay (Bhanushali) as he insisted on going to Sahara Star," said Ali
Ali told us that the understanding between the two of them was so great that they didn't have to utter a word to each other. "The relationship is a mutual understanding. After that hotel meeting we started catching up with each other. Both of us work in night shifts so we hardly meet," Ali tells us.
Ali begins to narrate an incident that he remembers fondly. "I was shooting for my show and we were filming a rainy sequence. I was sneezing on the phone when I was talking to her. She suddenly decided to land on our set without informing me and surprised me. However, I had to shoot a romantic scene and I felt it awkward to act it out in front of her. Somehow, I managed," he says laughing.
Ali is in love with Sarah's innocence, her values and her ethics. The two families are aware of their relationship. "They are supportive of our relationship. Sarah is still studying and I want her to finish her studies. Marriage can wait for at least four years especially since both of us would like to concentrate on our careers," he explains.
Ali was last seen in Ambar Dhara and he is working for Ek Thi Rajkumari. Sarah is working on Bidaai.
