Cellphones not allowed: Ekta Kapoor

Ekta Kapoor (TOI Photo)
Swtich off your cellphones!
As per a new rule in Ekta Kapoor's production house, if anyone's cell phone rings during work hours the person has to pay a fine of Rs 500.
Most actors however are not complaining about this. "It makes sense because a loud ring can mess up a shot totally," says an actor.
Of course, there are a few others who continue to complain aainst this 'dictatorship'. Actually it'snot so much the cellphone issue that has peeved them, it's the overall habit of dictating terms that they seem to be up in arms against.
"We are not allowed to attend other awrad functions... why impose such diktats on us?" says an actor. Well, the answer to that is simple: they are the largest production house today churning out a number of serials and they know they can dictate!

BIG SWITCH-ON BY SOAP STAR
Be the first reader to comment on this story

09:00 - 02 November 2007

An Indian soap star will help switch on festive lights in Hyson Green next week.

Sakshi Tanwar, who plays Parvati Bhbabi in Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki will be at the event on Monday, November 5.

The lights will help mark Eid, Diwali, Guru Nanak's Birthday and Christmas - and the switch-on is being held on bonfire night, so there will be fireworks, too.

The event will start at 5.30pm at Hyson Green Market Place, in Radford Road, with a special lantern procession where Sakshi will be meeting the public and signing autographs.

At 7pm, another lantern procession will lead the party to The Forest recreation ground, where there will be two fireworks displays at 7.30pm and 9pm, and curries and Indian snacks for sale.

The event has been organised by the city council, Hyson Green traders and the Interfaith Council.

Lord Mayor Mo Munir, a member of the Nottingham Asian Arts Council, said: "I hope that people from all communities will join us in celebrating their festivities in a unique way, that brings all communities together.

"In Nottingham, we are really very fortunate in having a single common celebratory event."

Ask me no questions & I will tell no lies!

Women often ask their men tricky questions, they have no answers to. Here's how some TV celebs braved tricky questions
Back to Section Stories Posted On Sunday, January 06, 2008

Bakhtiyaar Irani

We were in Goa for the New Year. We were a gang of six couples, playing Truth-and-Dare when Tanaaz asked me a very tricky question. She asked me which actress from the television industry I would want to have a one night stand with. I told her that I hadn't thought about it ever and wouldn't want to stray. My friends thought I was very boring but at the end of the day I had to say this or else I would have had it. I was in a complete fix that night.
Rajev Paul

Recently my wife Delnaaz asked me the most clich?d question that girls usually ask, "Have I lost weight?" I was dumbfounded and really did not know how I to answer that question. After a quick thought, I told her that I did not like the dress she was wearing; specially the yellow colour which was not going well with her looks. She was convinced, I was saved, thankfully!
Aamir Ali

It was Sanjeeda's birthday on December 20 and I had forgotten to buy her a gift. This happened as we were busy with Nach Baliye 3 and I simply got no time to shop for the gift. Sanjeeda kept asking me what I had bought for her birthday. So to cover up I told her that I had planned something special for her. I arranged a last minute party for her in Malad at a friend's restaurant. I actually had to call up friends at the eleventh hour to invite them for the bash. I just about managed to get out of the tricky situation.
Iqbal Khan

My wife Sneha has long hair and she gets her hair trim very often. She asks me often as to how her hair style is looking and if I'm noticing the new hair cut. Women tend to get touchy about such things and if their men don't notice it then they have had it. I observed Sneha closely and even though it's tough to make out a trim, I compliment her on her style. Fortunately it turns out to be fine, and when Sneha is in a mood to test me and if I am incorrect, I get down to being a murga.
Harsh Chhaya

The trickiest question I keep facing from my wife is "What will you do if I am not there with you anymore?" I don't have an answer to that till now. But when she asked me this question for the first time on impulse I said, "You will be gone! My life will go on…! Also you will not be there so what is that you want to look back to?" She got pretty bugged with it! I don't think she expected this kind of answer from me. But now when she asks me I say the things that she expects me to say like, "I will be heartbroken. I don't know if I will be able to live without you…"
Chetan Hansraj

Once my wife Lavinia asked me, "How many girlfriends did you have in the past and who was the best among them?" I was quite taken aback with the question. After a lot of brainstorming, I told her that whatever girlfriends I had in the past did not mater, and that she is the best undoubtedly. I was relieved that I could convince her!
Manish Goyal

My wife Poonam and I were about to get married and we were spending some time together. I was in deep trouble when my ex-girlfriend started calling me. Poonam snatched the phone and disconnected the call, and asked me why she was calling me up. I told that it was her birthday and I called her twice to wish her. She was just returning my call. Though, I had told her everything about my ex-girlfriend, I never told her that I lied on that particular day.

IF LOOKS COULD THRILL

Nikhil Dwivedi debuted in Bollywood yesterday. The question is, can an average looker make it in tinsel town? Our glam idols from the TV industry give their opinion

Back to Section Stories Posted On Saturday, January 12, 2008

Nikhil Dwivedi

Narayani Shastri

Most of our heroes in the industry are not the conventional good looking heroes. Guys are attractive when they are successful. Male actors are supposed have the X factor, talent and luck just like Ajay Devgan and Shahrukh Khan in the film industry. Female actors are supposed to look only pretty, besides be able to dance, be lucky, carry one self well and know the right people in the industry.

Urvashi Dholakia

Rather than good looks I think it is important to be well groomed! If you carry yourself well then it automatically adds to your charisma, though your looks may be okay. I have seen My Name is Anthony Gonsalves and I think Nikhil Dwivedi has done a great job in his first film. It is his talent that is adding to his looks. Also I feel the concept of looks is very subjective. The person I find good-looking may seem ugly to the other person and vice-versa.

Sudha Chandran

I don't think good looks are important any longer in the glamour industry. I would love to watch a face which is different and not the typical chocolate-boy or a PYT. People now appreciate good performance rather than mere good faces. Ajay Devgan is the hottest hero around and so is Sharman Joshi, they belong to a different genre. Also Amitabh Bachchan was an ordinary looking man, a common man's hero! For me Parveen Babi was very glamorous and unrealistic heroine, so I couldn't relate to her. The audience today is very intelligent and they prefer to watch common, relatable faces rather than the larger than life faces on screen.

Chetan Hansraj

I think good looks are important, but most important are your connections. It's sad but true. I don't want to blame anyone, but I guess the problem is that our industry is not organised at all. I know a lot of people who are very good looking and have great talent but could not do anything because they don't have the right connections. Good luck and great looks work perfectly in this industry. TV industry is a little better as a lot of people have made careers here without connections or average looks.

Neena Gupta

Good looks are a ticket to climb up the ladder and to get a break in the glamour industry, good looks are a pre requisite. But if one is a good actor one can go a long way. Good acting skills along with luck can fetch a hit role in this industry. An actor's ability, hard work and persistence make him look good on screen naturally.

Mini Mathur

I think it was in the yesteryears that looks were given importance to be in the glamour industry. Not anymore! Today it is more about personality and attitude. It is also about how well-read and knowledgeable you are! If you possess these qualities, looks can go take a hike.

Renuka Shahane

I don't think good looks are that important when it comes to film actors. In fact, some of our greatest actors would not have made it big if good looks were the main parameter. For instance, Yusuf Saab was not a conventionally good-looking man, but he went to be one of the greatest actors we have. Amitabh Bachchan arrived in a lanky avatar, but his looks grew on people. It may have something to do the success they achieved. For actresses, audiences are less forgiving. Everyone wants girls to be pretty and attractive. In the TV industry a lot of plane Janes, including me, managed to get good work. May be the homely look worked well on the small screen.

Kyunki Ki Ek Kahaani

Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii's present track is similar to Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi a year back. Read on...

Similarity 1

Kyunki - It was shown that Mihir and Tulsi are shocked when they come to know the truth that Ansh (Akashdeep Saigal) is a gangster.

Kahaani - Om and Parvati can't believe that Chotu (Ishaan Nanda) is not mentally retarded but actually is a gangster.

Similarity 2

Kyunki - Ansh had tortured Nandini physically and mentally.

Kahaani – Chotu is also giving Mishti (Shivangi) a tough time.

Similarity 3

Kyunki - Nandini was a reporter and had taken the interview of the business tycoon Ansh Gujral

Kahaani - Mishti is also a reporter and has interviewed Ishaan Nanda, also a business tycoon.

Similarity 4

Kyunki – The Virani family was unaware about Ansh's reality. Only Tulsi knew it.

Kahaani- In the Aggrawal family only Parvati knows about Ishaan's truth.

To find out whether Ishaan's death will be similar to that of Ansh in Kyunki we ask Mitu, Creative Head of Kahaani.

"Such similarities occur but Ishaan's end won't be like that of Ansh. Ishaan will completely turn negative and torture the entire Aggrawal family," declares Mitu.

Kyunki… Kahaani main twist hain!

TINA PARAKH-VIKRAM HAZRA
[24 Jan 2008]

"WE WENT TO ASK HIM WHICH WAS A GOOD DATE FOR THE ENGAGEMENT. HALF-AN-HOUR LATER WE CAME OUT ENGAGED!"

You don't need to be on the same wavelength to succeed in marriage. You just need to be able to ride on each other's waves. One meeting with television actress Tina Parakh Hazra and her husband Vikram Hazra and this saying holds true. A dynamic twosome, they are a shining example of the phrase opposites attract.

Perhaps it's their contrasting personas and the implausible understanding they share that gives their marriage that extra 'spark'. Blissfully married, they endorse a common way of living life – the Art of Living. Showtime catches up with this vibrant pair for an interview as they give their gyan on careers, family life and mastering the art of living.

Acting was the last thing on Tina's mind, who was shy and an introvert. Though wanting to build a career in marketing and PR, Tina happened to audition for a commercial and got selected. After realizing that it was fun to act, she started doing ads and acted in a few random episodic serials. She started her career with shows like Dollar Bahu and Hip Hip Hurray. But her first big break came with Khichdi, which put her in the spotlight for her portrayal of Melissa. Thereafter came Kahani Ghar Ghar Ki and Tina became a household name with Shruti's character.

On the other hand, Vikram, spiritual guide, teacher and programmer associated with Sri Sri Ravi Shankar's Art of Living (AoL), was once a journalist. He filed a story on the AoL but his curiosity got the better of him. He inquired about it and did the course. Today he has learned the skill to mesmerise hundreds of people with his melodious bhajans.

Perhaps predestined to meet, Vikram and Tina share their experience and talk of their first meeting. "It's been a happy confluence. We had a lot of common friends. Tina had been practicing the AoL for more than four years. Surprisingly she had no AoL interaction with me nor had she attended a course with me. Till the last month I had never seen her serials.

I just knew she was an actress as I had seen her in passing. So we knew each other only as human beings. There was a basic connect between us from day one. Before we knew it, we were the best of friends," says the suave Vikram. They got married and set up theirhouse. The kind of dating and wooing that should ideally have taken place before marriage, happened after it."Now the romance phase has begun," he says.

There wasn't any courtship period before their marriage. "Luckily we were spared all those gory details. A lot of people fall in love and have a very starry-eyed notion about life. And when it comes to the practicalities of being together like sustaining a relationship, setting up a house and functioning together, they realise it's really hard work. But with us, it was the other way around. The comfort level was completely taken care of. Now we can be very relaxed."

Tina narrates her version of the story. "I met Vikram almost four years back. I was already a part of the organization and used to follow Guruji (Sri Sri Ravi Shankar). I had gone to one of his satsangs, where one of his friends came to me and asked me to introduce Vikram to the audience. It was the first time I heard one of his gatherings and I met him then for hardly two minutes.

While introducing him on stage, I really fumbled up. After that, while I was listening to him, I felt that he was married. I thought then 'Wow, here is such a nice guy; I wish he wasn't married.' Later I sent him a text message saying that he was really nice and that I was sorry I goofed up during the introduction." But Tina's assumption was wrong, as Vikram was a bachelor.

It was their first meeting of the many more that followed. "Vikram used to travel quite a bit. So whenever he would be in Mumbai, he would message about meeting up. But that was not possible because of our contrasting work schedules.

This went on for almost two years. Till the time we realised we had common friends. One day all of us were supposed to go for dinner. But our friends couldn't turn up. So in the end, it was only the both of us who landed up having dinner!" says Tina. One thing led to another and they often found themselves having a cup of coffee or watching movies together.

Vikram left for Singapore and they kept in touch via telephone. "One fine day I realised that we really were talking a lot to each other," reveals Tina, while Vikram adds in jest, "It was cheaper to marry her than talk to her on the phone." It didn't help that Vikram was trying to hook Tina up with another friend. "It so happened that in the process of this whole thing, we started liking each other," she adds tenderly.

Since they weren't sure of their feelings completely and didn't want to ruin what could have been a beautiful friendship, the couple decided to visit Sri Sri Ravi Shankar and ask for his advice. When they asked him what they should do, he blessed them that they would get married within the coming six months.

Obviously staggered by his prophecy, Tina recollects their reaction to the whole episode. "I was so shocked when we came out. I had not spoken to my parents and knowing the 'rock star' image that Vikram has in the AoL, I knew a million hearts would be broken.

By the time we walked out of Guruji's room, half the ashram already knew we were getting married within six months; it was that quick. So I was really scared. I told Vikram that I had to speak to my parents before someone else told them. He instantly called up his parents and told them that we were getting hooked and they were more than happy. The problem was with me; I didn't know how I was going to put it across to my family! They didn't even know what exactly Vikram did nor did they have any idea of how popular he was."

Tina went back home, sat up all night in her room and literally mugged up the narration that Vikram gave her of whatever he did. She waited till morning and told the first person who woke up about him, which happened to be her brother. Recollects Tina, "I told my brother, 'You know what bhai, I like this guy, and Guruji says we should get married."

Vikram was then introduced to her brother and sister-in-law who simply loved him. "My sister was very scared and when my mother came to know, she was absolutely against it. She told me I had to get married into a typical business family." It was Tina's brother who came to her rescue and convinced her reluctant parents.

It seems they were leading lives straight out of a Bollywood potboiler. Tina and Vikram had gone on their first official date, when they had to hastily return home, as Tina's mother came to know about Vikram.

"My brother called me when we were having dinner and told me 'Mom is hitting the roof. Come back home.' We had to drop everything and rush back home. When I reached home, my mother had totally freaked out and my father was on the neutral side. It was around four in the morning that the decision came. They told me that I was going to get married to Vikram and that he was to come home to meet them the next day," recalls Tina.

As decided, the next day Vikram met her family. "The first thing he did was touch my mother's feet and ask 'Kaisi ho maa?' That's it; my mom instantly fell in love with him," says Tina as she remembers that nostalgic moment.

Theirs was practically an arranged marriage and the only difference was that they knew each other before the vows were taken. But as Tina says, they didn't know each other enough to call it a love marriage.

I question them about their secret engagement ceremony and get an interesting account from the duo. "It was so secret that even we didn't know about it," jokes Vikram. "My family is very close to Guruji but Tina's family had not met him. So we wanted to introduce them and bring both the families together and take blessings. We went to ask him which was a good date for the engagement.

Half-an-hour later we came out engaged!" Obviously, they were flabbergasted and followed the rituals that Guruji told them to do. "We came out wearing two garlands each and people thought we were married!" Like any traditional Indian girl, for Tina too, marriage was a very important and sacred ceremony. But Vikram, on the other hand, was quite embarrassed by the entire event.

Tina is all in awe of her husband as throughout this family saga, he held his cool. "Vikram was so chilled out even then. He would tell me, 'Guruji told us we will get married. I am telling you we will get married.' And I would get mad at him! My parents were saying no and this guy was chilled, which irritated me even more," she recollects. "That's usually the case with Vikram.

He is super calm, while I get hyper and make up for the both of us. I get agitated when things aren't right and he remains more composed than he should. I guess we are a balance for each other," says Tina while Vikram quips in, "We both are perfectionists!" Though they are diametrically opposite in their temperament, this couple gets along very well. They are making ends meet by arriving at a neutral point.

It doesn't matter if they are from different castes. Tina elaborates, "He's not a true blue Bengali as he doesn't eat non-vegetarian food. He is a Bong, who is more of a Tamilian Brahmin and would like to be a Japanese. So it's not difficult. Also Vikram has travelled the world.

He has so many experiences that you can't quote one to adjust with because every day is new. I do not come from a very typical Marwari family since I have been born and brought up in Mumbai. My bhabhi is a Punjabi and my sister is married to a Gujarati, so we don't have any rigid culture. Hence it wasn't really difficult, except for his food habits."

She dwells further on that, "I am a street food junkie. I live to eat, and eat a lot of spices. Vikram, on the other hand, can't handle a drop of spice. He likes to eat sushi and go to all these exotic restaurants and eat food that I have never heard of. So now, after marriage, I have learned to be a bit more polished and he has become street kinds!" says Tina and Vikram proves her point, "I ate my first vada pav and dabeli after our wedding."

Ask Vikram what he thinks of Tina the actress and he lists down his observations. "I haven't had enough exposure to it, but there are two things that I must mention. Tina has a very distinctive style. I think she is one of the pioneers on the soap scene, who is more understated and not very loud. She packs all her emotions into one expression.

This subtlety in presentation at the level of daily soaps is commendable and the credit goes to her to a great extent. The second is something, which not many people know about her. She has an incredible capacity to learn. She is a brilliant student. So whenever she does a shoot, she learns something. She knows a lot about make-up, lighting, camera angles and sound recording; all this out of curiosity." Tina too echoes similar words of praise, "Vikram is fabulous."

Talking about careers, apart from travelling across the globe for his satsangs, Vikram is now seen on television on 9X's Good Morning Zindagi, where he gives expert advice on spirituality. Tina on the other hand, is taking it easy. "At this point of time, what I am genuinely looking at and working hard on is doing different work. I think that everybody has acting potential. I have done this and now its time for me to move on. I need to prove to myself what I am capable of. I really want to do different work."

And what does she mean by 'different work'? "It could be a travel show, lifestyle show or even a weekly serial. I love cooking and so it could be a cookery show. So right now I am really taking my time off, grooming myself, getting back in shape and getting ready to take the plunge into something completely diverse," says Tina, even as she munches on some diet food. Does it suggest her ouster from the daily soap scenario? "Yes. I am out of Kahani Ghar Ghar Ki. I just shot an episode for Jamegi Jodi. Com on 9X. But that's it."

A conscious decision to not appear in serials, Tina believes that she wants people to know that she is looking forward to experiment. "It's time people came to know that I have quit. They need to know that I have the time and the willingness to do something new." Hubby Vikram is also supportive of her decision and plans his work commitments such that their holidays coincide.

Doing something new would also include acting in films and Tina is not averse to the idea. "I would love to do what a Rani (Mukerji) or a Konkana (Sen) does. I want to work in their kind of films. It's not typical commercial cinema, but there is a lot to do, a lot to learn from and a lot of scope to grow. You can mould into various characters. That's what I want to do as an actor."

She gives an interesting example, "You should be like a potato. It is one vegetable that can blend with everything. And there is nobody who doesn't love it. It's a rarity. One percent of people might not like it and we should ignore that one percent."

As for Vikram, he is happy continuing with the Art of Living, as Tina puts in, "He loves it and I am very happy for that. I have found one soul, who comes back home with the same smile, energy and the zeal for life. He goes everyday to work with that attitude. There were times when I was jealous of him, and I used to wonder 'How can he be so happy every moment?' Now that I travel with him I have realised that only very few people, who are lucky, gifted and blessed can do the work he does."

Marriage has changed Tina's attitude and all for the better. "Before I met Vikram I was so agitated. Now I am so content in life. When people ask me what is this Art of Living, I ask them 'Did you know me four years back?' I was an absolute pessimist then. If I bagged two ads out of three, I would crib about the third ad I didn't bag. It's changed me completely. It's brought about so much of peace within me. The process of AoL has taught me to value what I have and to overlook what I don't," she says.

Living with Vikram, Tina has learnt to adopt his qualities of being observant and patient. "There are times when I come back to being my own self, which is being very blunt and rude, but otherwise I have become a much softer and compassionate person. All thanks to him," says Tina dotingly.

They talk passionately about the dreams and ambitions they nurture ahead in life. "A really big house, lots of money so that when we need to do Guruji's work, we don't have to wait for anybody to help us out. So much that we don't have to ask anyone and between the two of us, we can do it.

And so much power in terms of an actor, that when I tell somebody this (referring to the AoL) is the best way to live life, they will take me for real!" says the chirpy actress laughingly. Vikram tells his plan of action. "I owe it to myself to enrich my life by learning as much as I can from Guruji, hands on. I want to be one of those few who are able to actually get a first hand experience. I also want to be in a position, where I can be one of the people who can help to carry forward his legacy."

And what about starting a family? "We ourselves need a lot of caring and looking after. We are very spoilt. And we have no intention of improving so soon," jokes Vikram before signing off. Tina and Vikram may have been married for more than eight months now, but clearly for them, the celebrations have just begun!

Prachi surprised on winning best actress

Prachi Desai, who won the Best Actress award at The Global Indian TV Honours, says she was pleasantly surprised over her victory.

Admitting that she was not expecting it, she says, "When I got it, it came to me as surprise. I could not believe it for a second. This is my first award of the year and that too from Balaji so it is like a blessing from them to me."

On the other nominees, Prachi says, "Sakshi is a great actor and I am a huge fan of hers so I was expecting her to win. On the other hand Divyanka, Rajshri and I entered the industry at the same time. They are also good actresses but I think my hard work paid dividends."

Prachi also performed with Shah Rukh at the function. So what was more exciting – winning the award or shaking a leg with SRK? "Both. It was a great feeling to have won an award and at the same time it was amazing to perform with SRK. I literally had fun and surprises that day," says the elated actress.

About quitting the show that won her the award, Prachi comments, "When I signed my debut film, it had a clause which says that I cannot do TV until I finish shooting for the film. So I am taking a break from the show for 3-4 months. Within two days I will start shooting for the film in Mumbai itself. I have finished shooting for some bank episodes of the show and I am on a break for two days. I do not know what is going to happen with the character. It is a completely the creative team's decision."

Meanwhile, Prachi is not going to appear for her F.Y.B.A exams. "I cannot leave such an opportunity. May be I'll think about October but March exam is impossible. I may also try to do correspondence."

Prachi got the award from Shah Rukh and Saif Ali Khan in the show. Ronit Roy won the best actor.

We congratulate Prachi on winning the award and hope to see her back on TV again.

    Getaway island

Tina Parakh and hubby Vikram HaZra had a great holiday in the Andamans

    I holidayed in…

Andaman Islands. In India, it's the best place to be because it has the most beautiful beaches, lovely forests with huge mangroves and breathtakingly wondeful coral islands. I had gone there for my honeymoon too. My husband (Vikram Hazra) and I plan to visit it again soon.

    I stayed at…

Barefoot Resort. It's a lovely resort close to the beach. The lovely cottages there are fun to stay in.

    I dined at…

Both Vikram and me are big foodies. So we gorged on everything from Japanese to Chinese, pastas and North Indian food too. There is no local delicacy as such because they cater mainly to the tourists. But yes, the sea-food is worth trying.

    The place rocked…

The beaches are beautiful and deserted, which makes you feel that it's your own private beach. We enjoyed water sports like snorkeling and yachting. On our next trip, we plan to learn scuba-diving from a professional instructor.

It's also wonderful to simply sit and watch the sunset as also the early sunrise. And of course, you can just chill by the beach and get completely tanned.

Tina celebrates first wedding anniversary at an ashram.

Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki's Shruti (Tina Parekh) is celebrating her first wedding anniversary today (February 9th) at the Art of Living Ashram in Bangalore. The actress is greatly influenced by the Art of Living prayers. And therefore she and hubby Vikram Hazra decided to celebrate their wedding anniversary at Sri Sri Ravi Shankar's ashram. We asked Tina about her unique venue selection.

"We wanted to spend this special day under the roof of our Guruji so we both decided to come here and seek valuable teachings from our Guruji. We personally don't like to celebrate lavishly like how it is shown in our serials. To be in the ashram and away from the daily hectic shooting schedule is the biggest gift."

    < align=center marginWidth=0 marginHeight=0 src="http://www.indya.com/common/newsbanner. htm" Border=0 width=300 scrolling=no height=250>

So what did you do all day?

"First we attended prayers which really rejuvenated us. Then later on we attended some more prayers and teachings that will help me to be more patient and a good observer," says Tina, "We will go back by evening as my parents and cousins have planned a small dinner in honor of our wedding anniversary."

But being in an ashram does not mean that the couple won't exchange gifts. "The gift is not a surprise for him as I'm gifting him a Blackberry pearl which he wanted long back and so finally now I'm gifting it to him. But I don't know what's going on in Vikram's mind as he loves to give surprises."

The popular television actress married her hubby Vikram Hazra who is a talented musician associated with the Art of Living's popular worldwide 'rock' satsang programme and their marriage ceremony was also held at the same ashram where the couple is spending their day today.

Mitu, Creative Producer of the show, informs us, "For the first time in Kahaani, good and evil will come together. Both Parvati and Shasha want to teach a lesson to Ishaan, who is Parvati's grandson but has been brought up by Shasha. Ishaan loves Shivangi but she falls for Parvati's foster son Ashutosh, who is an inspector. Parvati doesn't want Ishaan to cheat her family as he is a smuggler. On the other hand, Shasha wants Ishaan to forget her and concentrate on his smuggling. Thus Parvati and Shasha have decided to come together.
