Prithvi was just in time to hit the break hard,when he saw the female,waving her arms on the middle of the road,and managed to prevent hitting her by mere inches..

"WHAT KIND OF CRAZY WOMAN IS THIS?!!SHE COULD HAVE DIED!!!"Prithvi exclaimed out with a curse,as he quickly got of the car,and reached in time to see her lying unconscious on the road..

Is she dead?!!Did I hit and kill her?!!He thought worriedly,as she saw her lying on the road,her face hidden away from his view..

Quickly Prithvi checked her pulse,and was finally reassured on finding a healthy pulse.So he returned his attention to the unconscious female,and noticed,she was in a real bad and injured condition..

"She seriously needs help.."He murmured as he noticed her bleeding feet and hands..

As he looked at her face,he found it turned down,away from his view,and her her disheveled hair which had come lose from her braid was covering her face..

"Hey?You,girl?Wake up!"Said Prithvi with a slight shake on her shoulder,but the girl did not respond..So Prithvi turned her around,to see her face,and sprinkle water on her,when the ground below his feet moved away..He could not believe it when he saw the face of the unconscious female,and his heart stopped beating completely in shock.

"MEERA?!!"He exclaimed out.And then quickly picked her up in his arms,and took her to his car,and put her unconscious body,on the passenger seat,and pushed the front seat completely back,so that she was lying now..

Unaware by Prithvi,the goons who had been chasing her and had watched his arrival,slowly left the scene,which they had been watching unfold from the sideline,and entered back into the jungle..

"We've to tell boss,about Prithvi Khanna's interference..."They decided amongst themselves.

"Meera?!!"He called out again patting her cheeks softly,but she still did not respond at all..And by this time,Prithvi was really scared.

WATER BOTTLE!Where is the water bottle?!Prithvi thought frantically,as his mind suddenly seemed to have gone completely blank..The calm and cool Prithvi Khanna was completely agitated and nervous for the first time inhis life,so he desperately tried to cool his nerves,and think calmly..

Finally Prithvi remembered where he had put the water bottle,and opened the back door to take it out..Quickly Prithvi brought the bottle to the passenger side where Meera was lying,and opening it,sprinkled water on Meera's face..

She is not opening her eyes!!!His brain screamed out in protest.And frantically Prithvi almost emptied the bottle on her face,when he saw her eyelids fluttering,and Prithvi thankfully inhaled his held breath..

"Meera?!"Prithvi called out softly again.And this time her eyes were opened wide,and with her doe like eyes she stared up into Prithvi's concerned ones,and then frowned.

"Why am I wet?!"Was the first thing asked by the amazing girl,as soon as she opened her eyes and it got Prithvi completely exasperated..No explanation,no tears,no relief,no outbursts of pain or fear..But just her worry at getting wet..

Why is she like this?!Who did you make this girl for God?!!Prithvi asked God,looking up at the sky,letting out a long sigh..

"Why am I wet?!Did it rain?Or did I fall in a pond or something..."Meera drifted off on seeing Prithvi's angry look,as he stared with anger and something,that looked like frustration, at her..

"Or something'"Prithvi replied in a stern voice..

"Prithvi?What are you doing here?!"Was the next weird question from Meera,which made Prithvi even more irritated'

What is wrong with this girl?!Why isn't she scared or worried or relieved,at seeing me?!Why isn't she like a normal girl?!Why is she so different?!!Why GOD?!!Prithvi thought in exasperation again.

"What-"Meera's next barrage of question was stopped by Prithvi as he placed a finger on her parted lips to quieten her down.

"Enough of your questions!Now my turn..What the hell were you doing on the middle of the road,and that also in this condition?!"Asked Prithvi.

"I..I.."Suddenly a shadow of fear crossed her face,and terror settled on her features,as suddenly Meera,sat straight up from her lying position,and instantly hugged Prithvi tightly,her fingers clutching onto his shirt,in a tight grasp at his back.

"They'll kill me!Prithvi,they'll surely kill me today!Please don't let them kill me,Prithvi!I don't want to die..!"Meera sobbed out,and started crying into his chest,with heart wrenching sobs..

Prithvi was too shocked to react at first..And then when sanity prevailed,his arms embraced her slim body,in a tight hug,as she sobbed into his chest..He now regretted asking her what had happened..Her sobs were shredding him into pieces..Gently he massaged her back,and caressed her hair,and kept murmuring sweet nothings into her ears to calm her down,and reassure her..

"No one will hurt you!I won't let anyone hurt a hair of your body!No one will ever hurt you again!I promise.."Prithvi kept murmuring,and he also looked around to confirm if anyone was around,but relaxed on seeing that no one was about...

Finally Meera's sobs subsided,and she inhaled shattered breaths to calm herself,and then slowly looked up at him with swollen wet eyes..

"Sorry..I don't usually cry like-"

"Shshhh..It's okay..Here.."Said Prithvi,as he gave her a clean handkerchief from his pocket.

Quietly Meera wiped away her tears.Now a lot calmer,as she felt drained,after crying out her fear.

Prithvi decided to clean her wounds before he broached the subject again,so he went to take out the first aid kit,that he always kept at hand for emergencies in his car..Gently he cleaned her cut hands and feet,wincing in pain,and his rage increasing a thousand fold at her tormentors,as he saw the cuts..Everytime she winced out,Prithvi's heart seemed to stop beating..

"So some goons were chasing you..Why?"

"I was going to get some mangoes for Kanhaiya,from our orchard,when I saw them..I saw them killing someone!"Meera finally managed to say..

Prithvi tried to hide his shock quickly,and somehow managed to do just that..

"Okay..So you were witness to a murder..That's why they were after you..?"Prithvi asked,and saw Meera nod her head in agreement,as he finished bandaging her hands and feet..

Mentally Prithvi was scared of the implication of his words,as its real meaning sank in,along with the threat on Meera's life now,but outwards he could not express his fear,and terrorise her further.

"Okay..Ummm..Meera,now I'll drop you off at the police station,where you'll file your complaint,and then the police will drop you off at your home..And we'll also take police protection for your safety..."Said Prithvi as he noticed his phone ringing,and realized he had to hurry for Delhi..

"What?You'll leave me alone?!"Meera pouted out in anger,and instantly Prithvi's mind and body started reacting to her nearness..

"I have to Meera..I'm sorry..But I've an urgent meeting to attend,and my clients will leave for abroad tonight..So I've to reach Delhi by evening today..And I'm already a long distance away from Baragaon,or else I'd have dropped you at home,myself..But I don't have time to turn back.."Said Prithvi,taking a look at his watch..Mentaly cursing the scheduled meeting,with the clients who did not have the word understanding in the dictionary..And the deal was crucial for his company..Or else he'd have let all the meetings go,just to be with Meera,when she needed him so much,like now...

"Then I'll come with you!"Meera declared,surprising Prithvi into a shocked silence..

"How can you-"

"No!You just promised me.You'll not leave me alone!You can't leave me alone,here,where those goons are still looking for me!"She cried out,embracing Prithvi into a tight hug once again..

"Please don't leave me alone here,Prithvi?!Please take me with you?!"She begged,with her head against his chest,in a voice that was now almost broken,due to barely held back tears...
